Sad to say but the site where trocadero used to be located is now Philippine national bank 7th ave.

Friday is wine day. We're decided. It was a long week and i needed to rant. We both had our fast food fix for dinner so we decided we need something that's light.

Trocadero seemed a nice quiet place, so we went. We tried these:

1. Huevo Espesyal De Pateros- Dislike 128547

Basically it's balut with lots of garlic and caviar. It tastes like, well, balut. in sea water. It lacks taste, I had to ask for extra salt.

2. All Cheese Pizza- Dislike 128547
For the price I expected more. The cheese was gummy and the pizza reminded me of Greenwich. No offense.

3. Merlot- okay

I got to rant alright. It made me want to drink more, and so we transferred somewhere else for another glass of wine.

Will we be back? No.

A fancy-looking place that’s nicely decorated and full of tables covered in white tablecloth.

I tried their Pasta Trocadero Crema. A simple cream-based linguine pasta with salmon pieces. I liked it.

The service matched the ambiance. Clean and well-maintained bathroom also.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge if there are no more spots in the side street behind this place.

This place looks very promising. It has the makings of a fancy restaurant, from the dim lighting to the white linen covered tables, everything looks posh. We were a bit hesitant to go, it looks empty from outside. And true enough, we were the only customers they have last night, us and a few mosquitoes. You can hear the electric insect swatter doing their thing.

Initial plan was to have dessert and maybe some drinks, but my friend and I decided to try one dish. We had the Pasta Vongole and one look at it, I knew I wouldn't like it. I couldn't tell if it was undercooked or overcooked. The pasta was dry, chewy and pasty. All I could taste of the sauce was the chili flakes. We passed on the wine, they had very limited opened bottles for a single glass serving. The Panna Cotta we had for dessert was creamy and gelatinous enough. It was passable.

Their menu is fairly priced. Serving portions are good for 1-2person/s. The waiters are really nice, they all seem well-trained and very courteous.

Greek salad was big. Risotto was ok. Stay clear of the pizza. Overall, nothing extraordinary
