If you are a meat lover, you should visit Troopers! They serve a number of scrumptious meat choices.

Another whole in the wall kind of steak and burger house that is so pocket friendly. They have a wide range of affordable steaks, burgers, and pasta that can satisfy your craving. The steak is in the thin side, but you can douse it in gravy, as theirs is pretty good. Prepare to get your face dirty if you order the burger, as not only has bacon and cheese, but also cheese sauce and fried egg.

I have posted their menu so you can check their cheap and satisfying prices.

Attention! 128588 Sugod mga Ka-Troopers.

Went to Parang Marikina Yesterday late at night and we accidentally passed by at Troopers by Chef Moms. I heard this place at Facebook and they also have new branch in Sumulong. The concept here is military ambience.

They have a very cool menu. We got the following.

128110 Lt General - Pure Sirloin beef burger smothered with mushroom in a creamy , melted cheddar cheese , and bacon. Then there was a flag with toothpick on top. Nice presentation and price is only 99 pesos ! The taste is good and thumbs up for value for money .

128110 Major General- Shrimp calamari and spaghetti in olive oil , with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese for only 109! The pasta was so good.

Then add 20 pesos for their iced tea and it was put in a mason jar.

Service was fast. Willing to try other food like nachos and their Steaks

Addition to the growing list of musty try food place in Marikina.

Finally got the chance to try this gem in the heart of marikina...the place where it stands isnt the busiest place in marikina, not even a place where you would think great food would be made. We ordered their full slab ribs, tbone steak and chicharon bulaklak. Price is reasonable though, people flocks this place because of it and the taste will not let you down.

2nd food stop on a workday well spent in Marikina. The place was packed with people and the whole military theme added to my curiosity.

Everyone in the group ordered the General of the Army t-bone steak (which looked to be their best seller), house iced tea, and being 'takaw tingin', i had to grab a side order of nachos too after seeing it on the other tables.

Steak portion was good for the price (P129), but i found the beef a bit on the tough and dry side. But hey, for a budget steak i'm not complaining. 128540 The house blend iced tea i found a bit on the sweet side (priced P20 wow!). The nachos serving was huuuuge for its P79 price tag. Nothing too special but it was good enough! And i think they used 'chichirya' nachos as the base hehe.

All in all just so-so but you get what you pay for, and the prices are not bad at all.
