5 stars for this very unassuming hole-in-the-wall, with nothing over P200, and everything tasting really good! I literally mean everything, coz everything i had tasted like a winner128077128077128077

The burger was one of the best i've had. The char-grilled but juicy on the inside patty had the right balance of saltiness and meatiness in its flavor, topped with oozing cheese, bacon, and mushrooms... i forgot about my usual bacon mushroom melt. The chicken soft taco was loaded and had 2 large portions of really flavorful and undry slices of grilled chicken breast. The taco sauce drizzled on top was icing on the cake.

The home made pasta was cooked al dente. The shrimp stroganoff's sauce had the right creamy consistency and was so good I wanted to lick my plate. The cheesy fries came loaded too, just like their tacos, and was suprisingly not 'nakaka-umay' at all despite a slathering of cheesy sauce on top. Mmm... cheese...

Tropical Palate is definitely a must visit when coming to the south!

This place was recommended to us by a friend. I always see the place but haven't had a chance to visit it. If you want honest to goodness burgers this is your place no fancy names for its burgers but just what it has. Plain and simple! But the best burger I tasted this side Manila. I love burgers! Been missing out on their burgers the whole time.

They have other good stuff too but so far we tried their burger and will definitely go back!

Food is actually ok! We were supposed to try another resto but since it was fully booked that night, we just tried any place nearby. Tropical palate was our last resort, but it was worth it. They serve more like diner food rather than tropical. We ordered pita and curry for appetizer, buffalo wings, stroganoff pasta, burger and chicken teriyaki salad. Topped it off with their cheesecake. I gave them three stars because i dont think the name of the restaurant matches the food they serve. The signage depicts reggae and island feel but the interiors is dark and cramped, the food is good but their menu is disconnected with resto name. I think they should change the name, signage and interiors to match their food.
