Got to try this place a month back (I think. Haha) and really enjoyed their dishes and the ambiance too. I think it's the only place where you can customize your pasta dish. Down from the pasta noodle up to the sauce and additions, you are at your own liberty to add to your heart's content. In our case, we had the recommended dishes here. We opted for the Huevos Estrellados, Tapastalog, Trufa and Trufa Cookie. I highlighted the standouts for me in the photos as these were my fave. The Trufa was truffalicious. The truffle wasn't too strong that it overpowers the dish. As for the dessert, Trufa Cookie, it supposedly has this "surprise" ingredient. You'll immediately taste it upon first bite. 128521

Trufa is a Self-service pasta bar located right across Your Local. They are still on soft opening but they already have a credit card facility available. I'd say this is also a good place to catch up with friends as the ambiance is quite and relaxing. Besides serving food, they also serve wines and desserts. Since its a self service bar, you have to approach the cashier to pay & order.

Only their Pasta is DIY, we ordered the ff for the Pasta:
127837La Salsa - Trufa (according to them is their best seller, aka truffle oil)
127837La Pasta - Penne
127837La Alegria - Espinacas (Sauteed spinach) & Setas (Mushroom)

Besides the pasta, we also ordered the ff:
127850Montadito De Salmon Tapas - Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese on a baguette

127793Asiatica Ensalada - it has red cabbage, romaine lettuces, fresh yellow mango slices, queso de bola strips and crispy dilis fish

The waiters and waitresses were also very patient in answering our questions about the menu. They also made recommendations. Service size and pricing was also ok for me.

We visited around 730 PM on a Monday night. Only around 3 to 4 tables were occupied.

Really good twists on the pasta, i got the Tapastalog (tapa plus pasta plus egg) and chose gnocchi.. I would have wanted to have more customizations thought but still okay.. Would still come back to try the others :)

The dessert - chocolate imposible is delightful.. Two layer flan and chocolate cake

Went to Lagrima and got there around 7pm and the place is already full and everyone is just starting. Not my day. As much as I want to try Lagrima, I guess there is always right time for everything. Utot. As we went back to the car and thinking of dining at La Grota, we found this newly opened pasta bar and the place is pretty inviting. And so we did.

Concept is actually a create your own pasta, where you can choose your sauce, pasta and what you want in it. This is a perfect place for a pasta lover, where they can play with their plate with what they prefer to get, from a simple red sauce spaghetti to the weirdest complicated kind of pastas which I only heard during this visit. Try their truffle oil based pastas I'm sure it won't disappoint. No wonder it is named Trufa right?! La Carnitas is also superb. Mixed of sweet potatoes and normal potatoes with hint of truffle oil solb! 128523 we also tried their Montadito de Salmon which is slice of baquette, cream cheese and fresh salmon which is delicious but came late rather than for appetizer. 128517

A bottle of wine will cost you 900 pesos which is a little over than usual but still okay. 128513

Its a do it yourself menu, choose your pasta, choose the sauce and toppings. Since its our first time we tried their specialty the Trufa sauce with Tagliatelle, and it was the best truffle pasta I've tasted! Next time I will try it with chorizo. We also ordered Pomodoro with Penne and Chorizo Picante with spaghetti, its all good but the Trufa pasta is the best. And for dessert we could not resist the cakes, the Pastel de Crema Catalan leaves me speechless.... Its like my favorite creme brulee cake! Therr also a similar cake in mango flavor but its tasted ordinary to me. Will definitely come back to this new place to try the other pasta choices. Pasta price is from Php 200-350 without toppings, the cake was Php150 per slice but oh so worth it!

Pros - service was fast; pasta was al dente; pleasant crew; good resto interior

Cons - sad to say, nothing extra-ordinary with the taste that will make us want to go back for the salsa, we ordered gambas, pesto and chorizo. I guess our expectation was too high given the positive reviews but only to be disappointed afterwards. The pesto was just pesto itself with the pasta. No mushroom whatsoever. If you want toppings you have to add at least PHP40. For the chorizo pasta, a bit sweet but we hardly tasted the chorizo maybe because it was finely chopped. The gambas pasta was just okay but then again nothing extra special. The serving size for all three orders also minimal.

For the desserts, we ordered pastel de chocolate, imposible and de mango. The top of the pastel de chocolate was too sweet. If not for its excessive sweetness, it would have been good. The pastel imposible which apparently is the best seller had the leche flan part a bit burned that's why there was a slight bitterness. The mango was just okay.

Still on soft opening when we visited for lunch last week but the place was already packed! Trufa is a self service pasta bar and i am loving the concept You start by picking your sauce (12 to choose from) then pick your pasta (11 choices) and then choose additional toppings (14 of 'em) ... Yeap! If you're a pasta lover like moi, this place is like a pasta playground 128514 you can mix and match everything to suit your mood as well as your taste bud.

Yina M had their signature dish Trufa and Kirby G tried the chorizo picante if I remember correctly 🤔 while I tried the 4 queso (320) on tagliatelle and added some spinach (espinacas +40) and mushrooms (setas +40) - I liked what i ordered a lot, it was tasty and the pasta was done to my liking! My only complaint is that the serving was kinda small for a 400 plate of pasta 128521

We also had the Pastel de Crema Catalana @150 - simply put, Creme brûlée... I really really enjoyed this light spongy cake 128525 so much so that i went straight to the counter to order one for take out 128556 Hayzzz,... All that extra calories 128055

Try to visit before peak hours as the line to the cashier gets uber looong also please make sure to finalize your choices before you line up! They also accept reservations so it's better to call ahead for guaranteed seats..

Trufa Pasta Bar is currently on soft opening, being in operation for just 3 days when I came in last Saturday. By pasta bar they ask you to choose a -

(1) Salsa - the sauce
(2) Pasta - your choice of noodles
(3) Alegria - the topping

It's a self-service bar so you place your order at the counter. The base price is determined by choosing your pasta, from 195-340 pesos. If you choose to add toppings, you pay for each topping you like. Beware because everything you want on it can easily add up. The pricing is clearly written though so just be mindful if you're on a budget.

I chose Truffle 340.00, pappardelle and pancetta +40. I wanted to try the chorizo but I was convinced by the Filipino speaking Euro to try their signature dish. I wanted fresh mushrooms however it wasn't available for the day. 380 pesos for a truffle pasta is not bad at all. Seemed like a steal when I paid.

They served my order within 8-10 mins and the aroma of truffle was intoxicating. The cream had a good flavor, but I found the whole dish to be just a tad under seasoned. I wanted to ask for salt and pepper but everyone was busy entertaining a small group of 10 that was lined up at the counter. No biggie. The pancetta bits were fried to a crisp (yum!) and it made up for the lack of salt for the bites that had it. 3.5 for me.

I prefer the noodles to be a little more al dente. Sadly the cream did not stick to the noodles so much. Double sad was that the order did not come with any bread, even a small piece. I could've used it to wipe my plate clean and savor what's left of the sauce. The order is also just good for one not too hungry person. I can imagine a few people will think it's a bit bitin.

I do however, prefer the truffle pasta of the nearby La Grotta and the acclaimed La Nuova. But their pricing can make it a come on for a quick, cheap truffle craving. I would still love to come back to try the chorizo. I smelled something like anchovies being sautéed so that's something to look forward to. Plus the wine and tapas on the menu.

We ordered a chocolate cake for my daughter. The frosting was sweeter than I prefer, but the cake was super light and fluffy which I enjoyed. Overall a nice chocolate cake, 4.0. I was told that they have someone bringing in the desserts for them. They have a catalan cake which I wanted to try, but my toddler kept pointing to the chocolate. Cookies looked scrumptious too.

They are on soft opening so I understand they still need to iron out a few kinks. I was waiting for them to ask me about my food, I would've wanted to talk to them about the bread haha. I did appreciate how they helped me decide on what to order.

The place has a lot of potential. I love their bar seating with the multiple sockets, which I assume they provide for people who want to work outside their office. The interiors will remind you so much of Your Local and Yardstick, which is right across the restaurant. I loved the utensils and their own monogrammed paper napkins, the black chairs and the clean look of the room.
