The fifth stop of day 2 (12th out of 16 in total) of the |ooloo X Parkmall Food Tour was Tsiboom. I’ve passed by here a lot, but have never really eaten here. I only know that they serve unlimited rice here too, very similar to Hukad. They have very similar menus too. So similar, that we were also served Crispy Pata here, apparently also their best seller. I couldn’t help but compare a lot between this place and Hukad especially because of the uncanny likeness. 128569

1.) Crispy Pata
I found this to be very different than that of the one we tried earlier mainly because it tasted like it was marinated in something salty prior to deep frying. It was rather too salty for my taste, it didn’t even need the dipping sauce. The tenderness of the meat was spot on, but the skin was not as crispy as I hoped it would be. Still it was pretty to picture, since the colour was really golden brown and the portion size is really good for sharing. 128568

2.) Mongo with Seafood Soup
I really enjoyed this one actually, but just because I have an affinity for savory dishes with coconut cream. 128571 I liked the texture of the seeds, they were cooked really well and not chewy at all. I liked the flavor of the soup dish, well balanced and very well seasoned. I had to resist eating more of this only because I didn’t want to feel more full than I already am, especially as we still had a few more stops to go to. 128569

3.) Pinakbet
This was just ok. The vegetables were nicely cooked, and the shrimps on top were quite fresh. Maybe I was just looking for the taste of bagoong, parang wala e. Or it was so faint that I wasn’t able to taste it. At least, I really couldn’t remember tasting it, so it must have been really subtle. 128569

Overall, I think this place is still a good go-to restaurant when you're in search for Native Filipino food. Perfect for families, the place is really nice for Sunday brunch and dinners. The restaurant is quite big, with two floors to brag here in Parkmall. I’d still come back, but probably not too soon. 128568

After attending the 11am mass in St. Joseph Shrine, my housemates and I headed to Parkmall. It was almost 1pm already and we were really hungry and craving for "real" food. Thus, the story of Tsiboom.

We ordered Sinigang na Hipon, Pancit Guisado, Tanigue Steak and Lechon Kawali. Everything's "lami", except for their dessert, Leche Flan... It caught the taste, but the texture was different. So far, nothing beats ZubuChon's Leche flan.

Affordable Filipino cuisine. Good for group dining like families and barkadas. It is like AA BBQ grill with unli rice. 128154

Restaurants like this in Cebu is not that authentic since there has been a lot of variation. but what I like about Tsiboom is the service. Amazing!
