Long have I known about this restau but have never braved to try it knowing I can't control myself with jap food, I'll only end up splurging in my bill as high as my waistline 128514, but seriously, I've had a feeling it won't disappoint and therefore, saved it for a special occasion. So the other day, I experienced another milestone in my life, so we headed straight here to celebrate.

We came here for lunch and had the tsukiji sashimi special mix. It's got 7 kinds of premium sashimi, all imported from japan. Now, nothing can come close to sashimi from there but to be able to have the quality they serve here, then I must say Tsukiji does surely know how to make an occasion more special than it already is! Everything was just delicious and pretty generous with the serving. We also had the tempura and gyudon. The tempura was great. The batter, shrimp, and sauce were very oriental and authentic too, esp the batter. As for the gyudon, I liked having it with raw egg cracked on top of a steamy hot rice. So I requested for it, sadly, they gave me a fried one. Good thing it was a bit runny so it still made my gyudon creamier. Had a great meal all in all. I am very much satisfied lol

I think this restau is def one of my top choices for jap restau and now, I can prove to myself more that some things are worth waiting for! Lol128525

If you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't recommend coming to Tsukiji. But if you're willing to splurge a bit for a meal, then why not?

We got the sashimi lunch set and it was worth it! As seen in the photo, each set contains a cup of rice, miso soup, your main dish and tempura sides! The tempura side includes one ebi (prawn), one fish, and some veggies. 128077🏼 They also serve a couple of side dishes before they serve the set as appetizers.

The sashimi was really fresh! Although the menu only says that the set contains 5 kinds of sashimi, the waitress mentioned that the chef usually adds some more kinds of sashimi. In our set, we actually got 7 kinds of sashimi! 10084

They have a lot of sushi and seafood in their menu. The place is named after Japan's largest seafood market after all. But since we're not a big fan of fish, we opted to try their imported meat AND it was our best decision ever. Tsukiji serves ohmi wagyu beef which is something to die for. Although expensive, you get what you paid for - high quality beef which is UBER tender. That melts-in-your-mouth experience is something you must not miss.

I'm a voracious raw fish eater that's why japanese food is always on top of my list.

For me, the best fish to eat raw are salmon, toro, uni, hamachi, and kampachi (if you think there's more, I'm open to suggestions!) 128522

Throughout the years that I've been bouncing from jap restau to restau just to find the best sashimi, I've recently concluded that there's nothing better than Tsukiji, most especially when it comes to toro and uni... so far. I've tried Nihonbasitei's, and other restaus but it's really incomparable.

For my recent Tsukiji adventure which was once again sponsored by our generous friend... we had of course, the toro, grilled yellowfin tuna head, uni, the incomparable kobe wagyu steak, hamachi, salmon, etc. Everything was an experience worth having again and again!

But the most memorable for me (as usual) are the toro, kobe wagyu, and the uni. So, if you happen to visit one of my fave restaus, try to have it. 128522

Oh, make sure you go on a Thursday or Friday because that's when the supplies are freshly delivered. 128522128076

Tsukiji offers authentic Japanese food. I can say it's better than Little Tokyo 128513 This was the best Curry set for me. Also their Kani Salad was another must try but very very pricey, it costs 980php. 128529

I ordered Tokujo Nigiri since their specialty are sashimi and sushi. It consists of 9 Prime Sushi and Maki. It is the best sushi so far in the metro for me since i haven't tasted kikufuji's variety of sushi. They mentioned that all are imported from Tsukiji jn Japan.

I've been in Tsukiji, Japan and the quality of sashimi and sushi there are a little close to the quality of the resto's sashimi and sushi. The hontoro is delicious but not as good as the hontoro in Japan. Of course it is better there. But still, delicious !

The foods are super expensive. SUPER! But with great quality!

It's been a terribly challenging (some days I thought it was just plain terrible) workweek. And when the going gets tough, I go and stuff myself with arguably the freshest sashimi in the city and surround myself with the company of dear old friends equally eager to indulge. We had the special sashimi mix to share and our eyes kept popping with each bite. Sometimes we'd catch ourselves sighing together and saying "Ang sarap" under our breath. I thought the hamachi would bring me the most comfort, but the tuna belly was just plain amazing. I was hoping there would be some uni, but I soon forgot about it since all the sashimi they served were just dreamy.

I also ordered their Angus rib-eye steak. Server said the chef recommends it be cooked medium well and I'm not the type to argue with the chef. They however served it on a sizzling plate so it ended up well done. Oh well. No biggie.

We were also able to cross order from Milky Way for their classic halo-halo. This is one of my favorites and I've reviewed this before. Suffice to say it's still a favorite.

We got a booth with side panels and found it a bit difficult to call the servers' attention. They really should consider placing those buttons on the table which you press to call the server.

Don't ask about the cost of my meal. This is one of those places where I turn a blind eye on the price and just give in to the experience. There are days I need to remind myself that there is still something good and beautiful in this world. Today was one.

It's funny that the place is called Tsukiji considering that the seafood here is eclipsed by fare in other, cheaper places. The spicy tuna sashimi is coated in this blood-red sauce that's slightly sweet and tastes mildly of *blech* Chinese Food. Grilled salmon was undeniably fresh but if you want something vastly superior (and economically efficient), head across the street to Sugi.

Where Tsukiji shines is in its steak. You have to fight he urge to scarf down the Wagyu because it's just so damn good. The US Angus is also yummy but is just really good steak as opposed to the meaty Nirvana that the Wagyu represents.

Atmosphere is awesome too with an unobtrusive authenticity that makes this a great date restaurant. Just make sure to load up on the steak.
