A friend asked me if I'm good to try a Singaporean food place, having lived in Singapore for a while then - most local places tend to disappoint. Even the Makansutra in Megamall didn't pass my standards, found it quite expensive too outside of the taste being far from what it should be.

TTK is owned by a Singaporean man who, as you would have guessed, married a Filipina. His name is Franco and he has loved Manila more than Singapore. He goes around introducing himself to his diners, asks how things are and if everything is as expected.

For me and my allergies, I'm sad that I didn't get to order the cereal prawns which my colleagues swear to be really good. For this review, This will be for our order composed of the Bah Kut Teh, Hainanese Chicken and Fish Ball Dry Noodles.

Bah Kut Teh was my default rainy weather meal back in Singapore. Balestier St. became famous for the pork bone soup, pepperish aside from the pork broth flavor. Authentic? Yes - they really captured the taste. Pork meat practically falling off the bone as you bite in.

The Hainanese Chicken - very juicy and flavorful. You taste the soy, the sesame oil, then mixed with the grated ginger sauce with thick soy - again, they captured the taste as it should be.

For me though, being a noodle fan - their fish ball dry noodle is my favorite. Coming from the kitchen of my grandmother who always told me, that even the noodles should taste good - TTK captured that sauce for the noodles which gives it that sweet barbecue-ish taste which makes the noodles delectable. The fish balls - nice and plump too, not the type which would "deflate" after a while.

Having gone to the place about 4 times already the past 2 months, you don't get the dry mouth sensation or that very sleepy feeling after - usual results of MSG laced food. Even my parents who know their Chinese food give their approval of this place.

Worth the trip to the south of Makati!

My first visit was good, but the second time it was a little disappointing. The Laksa was really thick as compared when I first ordered it, and it had a really strong flavor, the Char Siew was really dry, it was difficult to eat without the sauce.

This hidden gem serves authentic Singaporean hawker food. Glad to have given this place a try one evening. Eating there gives you a hawker feel too. Best part, prices are very much affordable :)

Bf got an order of their dry noodles with dumplings and char siew. For a little over 200 (208 or was it 220?), we could share that already. Dumplings were good and char siew was flavorful.

I got the Ho Fun (hofan for some) which was really good for sharing too and was generously topped with seafood. It was really delicious. We took home the leftovers.

Last but not the least, we had an order of cereal prawns. This was literally shrimps in cereal unlike the one I ate in SG that was more like breading and quite sweet. This was good nevertheless.

For all these goodies and 2 drinks, we were billed 700+. Super friendly staff too. For those not quite familiar with SIngaporean cuisine, the staff patiently explains them. They know their food. Points for that :)

We are craving for an Asian food and we end up at TTK Authentic Master's Singapore Foods. We ordered Humba, Broccoli with Prawns, Squid with Salted Egg and Crispy Fried Chicken. I like the Squid with Salted Egg. Yummy!

Hey. If I'm eating at a pricey place for free, I have no right to not like it. 128515 This has been a regular place for us to eat whenever we do meetings in Makati. This is one of those places that when they say they're authentic, you have to believe them. Boss said their bah-ku-teh is one of the bests in the menu, and its like a bulalo with a really strong broth. Its nice, but I think its a little too strong for my taste. Still, try their seafood fried rice which is oozing with shrimp, squid, and other seafoods. You have to see it for yourself! And I haven't even mentioned their super hospitable owner, who is, you guessed it, a Singaporean! He also cooks the food by himself! You can't get anymore Singaporean than that! 128512
