Tukon Church is also known as Mt. Carmel Chapel. It’s a lovely stone chapel on top of the hill. The church is actually hand made! 128561 Majority of the chapel is made of stones and boulders as it was designed based on the traditional Ivatan houses here in Batanes. A giant wreath like plant wraps the wooden door of the chapel making it look so picturesque! 128525 It just looked so beautiful on the outside. Meanwhile, the interiors looked like a normal church with hand-painted images of patron saints on its ceiling.

Fun fact❗️The church was actually built because of Mr. Abad's parents. They dreamed of having a church near their home so they can visit anytime. However, it was sad that his parents were not able to witness the beautiful chapel fully erected 128532

The wind up here is intense! We couldn’t get a decent photo of ourselves since our hair got in the way most of the time 128517 But we did get a lot of scenic photos 128149

Also known as Mt. Carmel Chapel, there were still remnants of leaves inside. It was prolly due to the recent storm that visited this place. Still, it was very beautiful inside. It had these frosted stained glasses that can withstand any storm. Indeed, this is perfect for those intimate weddings. 128112🏻
