It was a weekend staycation so yay for us wee! We chose to stay at Tune Hotels --- now rebranded with a new name --- Red Planet Hotels at Shaw Blvd., Pasig City.

After checking hotel rates from different booking sites, I found the cheapest and best priced one at Bookings.Com. For 1531php only, we got a standard room with a queen sized bed, private bath, and inclusions like TV, safety deposit box, WiFi provision, etc. I was so happy to get to secure the cheapest deal.

When we arrived at the hotel, the guards and attendants were really accommodating and nice. They were very keen in dealing with our concerns and extra focused in providing good customer service. I truly appreciate such efforts.

We got a room at the highest floor, 12th F, near the fire exit as I requested. Upon entering the room, it was really clean and organized. Its simplicity made me feel instantly at home and I was comfortable with how everything's well placed. The bed was comforting and the ventilation was really OK too. I liked the lighting of the room as it made me feel pretty.

The view from the room was a simple, nice city skyline view. From the top, it felt so calming and relaxing, quite away from the street's busyness and stress.

If you're looking for a budget hotel that's clean, organized, with accommodating attendants, Tune Hotels, now Red Planet Hotels, is something that you should check.

I usually go to Manila a few times a month to meet friends and eat good food. That's why I pretty much tried a lot of cheap hotels in Manila. But this one takes the cake.

Rooms are neat and fancy! Malls, good restos, and convenience stores are just a walk away. Easily the best cheapotel for your peso.

Only sad thing is... They changed the name to "Red Planet Hotel" already. Uh... I loved the name "Tune" because it sounded so generic. Now it sounds like some shady motel at a red light district. Their logo sucks too. And not to mention their uninspired taglines. 128517

I am not even sure I can say to anyone I am staying at Red Planet Hotel with a straight face. 128514

Almost a 5-star but their new branding is crap. Really guys? 128548

booked here over the weekend. same basic amenities, clean room, great ac, good shower pressure and great staff.

i just noticed that wifi is a bit slower than my last visit.

they did let us check in 2 hours early last Saturday. yey for that!

anyway do note that the parking card is strict. we went out at around 12 noon and the parking card was already expired with the overnight parking i paid. can't argue with the machine since check out is at 11am. i just paid another 50 pesos. they only give 30 minutes extra time to check out of the parking area.

check out the lobby. it's basic and clean.

I stumbled upon this hotel on Agoda (which I use frequently). As a budget traveler, I do not expect much from any hotel that offers rooms for under $30. But this one exceeded my expectations. Reception was overly nice and efficient. Staff greeted you warmly at every moment. Lobby was clean with rmodern furnishings and four computers for guests to use. The rooms are small but who cares! I don't plan on doing crossfit training or having dance parties in there. Bed was surprisingly comfortable with a comforter, not some thin bed sheet. There's a flat screen tv with an adequate amount of channels. AC that works well! The bathroom had a stand up shower. I hate bathtubs in hotels!!! Who are these people that need to take baths in their hotel?? You won't find ten different towels, toothbrushes, coffee makers, mini bar or those stupid shower caps. I'd rather do without these unnecessary things and get a cheaper room. This particular Tunes Hotel does it right and that's why I will return again and again.
Note: Close to MRT, SM Megamall, and a 7eleven for those in need of late night Siopa that's been steaming for days.

Booked via agoda.com a day before check-in. Used my last 12,500 points (worth 1,000++) and paid 414.++ via creditcard. Total Hotel bill P1,520 (vary from time to time)

Arrived at 7PM, screenshot/saved the hotel voucher and showed it at the front desk plus any government/Valid ID. No need to print voucher. Fast service. They will remember you.

Last December we were checked-in at room 611, this time at room 711. No difference, it's just that the aircon wasnt cold enough. The room has ceiling fan tho.

What I liked about Tune Hotel was, it allows guests of more than 2 at 128073128073128073 NO EXTRA CHARGE! 128072128072128072 As long as you're all comfortable sharing 2 Twin Beds. We were 6 that night. Only 1 soft pillow each bed, you may ask the front office for extra pillows (not sure if it has extra pay).

No pool, no free breakfast, NO PROBLEM! 128077

I almost forgot that my cousin left me an envelope that morning, and the front desk reminded me during check-out! Good job! 128077

Checkout is at 11AM, and we decided to leave the hotel past 12NN. No extra charge! 128077

Near Malls, Restaurants, Capitol Commons, Kapitolyo, Greenfield District, Accessible (along Shaw Blvd.)

RECOMMENDED! 127775127775127775127775127775

Sorry, no photos

November 2014. This hotel is the cheapest clean hotel to go to. We were looking for a cheap but clean hotel and here's the best example. They may have a small room but there's everything you need.

Toilet has hot and cold shower, towels. Wifi may be limited to some devices but still good enough. There's also a folding table attached to the wall should you need it, just pull it down 128523128522 there's also a burger joint downstairs but I don't recommend that place. It's very not worth it haha! Try 7-11 instead! There's one nearby128514

It's a typically basic hotel in a very affordable price. Good for friends and couples too! And they have blow dryer for your hair, you girls out there! Haha!!

8,500 points from my agoda account was about to expire this December 31, 2014, and hurriedly checked hotels online. 10-min walk to MRT Shaw, Shangrila Mall, Greenfield District, Capitol Commons

15-min walk to Kapitolyo restaurants, Megamall

had to book here again to be near ortigas since we have errands that needs to be done asap.

check in was a breeze well that was 11pm already. booked agoda and got a room for less than 1100 pesos. had to add another night booking and it was a bit pricier than the first night but i was okay with that. the lady at the front desk just checked the system and my booking was in the tune system from agoda with me booking it in less than an hour. at least i know booking through agoda and informing the hotel is real time, if not almost real time.

the room was clean. they cleaned the room well after the first night. wifi was stong. had ample parking both nights. the frondesk, manong guards and the hotel people were nice.

check out at 4am was a breeze. 128077128077

i love tune ortigas since it's cheap, clean and near kapitolyo.

i usually check agoda for rates or just check tune website if they are cheap. i always get cheaper rates now with agoda than the tune website.

ample parking from the second until the fourth floor. the ramp going up the parking is a bit steep. the way to the parking is at the back, pearl drive if I'm not mistaken.

check in is a breeze as well as check out. there are only 2 types of rooms: twin and double and rooms are at around 14 sq meters each. i like it coz it's clean and the room colors are just brown and white. very minimalist . wifi that can be availed is strong but torrent is not allowed. 128523

showers are strong. the cr space is enough.

the double bed is comfortable. the pillows are on the tough side but the sheets are soft.

hotel staff are courteous and are always smiling.

i think they now have a burger joint at the ground floor if you need a quick snack since they don't serve food in the hotel.

what is also to love about tune is you can customize your needs in a basic hotel. aircon, towels/soap and even wifi can be added or removed if you book through the tune website. best for students and backpackers.128076128077

Your no-frills hotel. You pay for what you need. Btw, rates vary depending on the number of guests checking in.

I love coming back to Tune Hotel (QC branch) because of their sheets haha. Who wouldve thought of duvet, soft pillows, and a very comfy bed for a price of 1200+/night. So when I found out that there's a branch in Pasig, we went there agad.

Our family stayed overnight. Good location because everything is just a walk away from the hotel.

Upon checkin in they will give you keycard for your room. The room was clean. Strong wi-fi. The staff is very accommodating. Very good customer service.

There are 2 types of rooms. A room with queen sized bed and a room with 2 single beds. What I also like here is that they have a spacious room for pwd.

Great price for a new hotel with excellent service. Will definitely book again. :)
