Here's someplace to go to when you wish to celebrate your birthday the Chinese style. Especially with the elder ones, you would enjoy dining in this place. Reservation especially on a weekend is a must.

Parking space would be a little difficult (worse parin sa greenhills) but tung lo wan got underground parking that has 2.2 headroom clearance. Mejo nahirapan sa una kasi very steep ang ramp but good thing there's manong guard to assist.

The place is a little small fir a chinese pan to, there are seats for 12 pax, 6 pax and 4 pax.

1282048 Treasure Wintermelon soup
This is rather cool and unique. Hot kundol and nido style soup.

128204128525Salted fish fried rice
Salty is in! I like they incorporated dried fish in this rice dish. Salty-sarap pops up in your mouth. Bagay sa soup.

128204Birthday Misua with quail eggs
The quail eggs are optional for additional 30PhP. This dish is very Chinese and could be a little dry.

128204Suahe 1 kilo
The suahe looks small, but you can request for larger ones.

128204128525Beef with Tendon
I love this hot pot. The beef is tstt and super tender. The tendons were not so chewy which i like. It kinda melts in tge mouth.

128204Spinach with 3 types egg
Spinach and mushroom. A veggie dish. Not so stellar.

128204128525Lechon macau
Another favorite of mine. Eat asap to enjoy the crispiness of the skin. The meat is considerably soft (not the softest i have encountered) what's unique is that they have mustard served as your dip. Quite weird eh.

128204128525Almond dessert
Free dessert. Chunks of moderately flavored almond jelly with sweet syrup.

I find the place a little above average but not enough to be enlisted in my "likable" restaurant. 3.4 that is. Kapos pa for a 4. There's a CR but no wifi. Service is quite fast but nothing warm about the servers.

One of our Chinese takeout go-to.

We've tried a lot on the menu and enjoyed a lot of them.

Tung Lo Wan's Macau style lapu-lapu with tofu and liempo. First of all, I would like to point out my complaint. There's a strand of hair in the food.128561128078 I believe they don't wear hairnets inside the kitchen. That makes me doubt with regards to the cleanliness of their food. I kinda lost my appetite while eating because of the hair.

The food is just normal. The lapu-lapu doesn't taste fresh. The tofu is cooked well. There were just a few pieces of liempo. The very tasty sauce complements the overall taste of the dish.

We had 4 dishes for takeout from Tung Lo Wan food express

1.) Polonchay
2.) Crabs with sotanghon
3.) Fish with tokwa
4.) Yang Chow fried rice

The polonchay tastes so soft, like overcooked. When I eat vegetable, I want it a bit crunchy, where you get to feel the vegetable in every bite. Just so/so for me. 128076

Crabs with sotanghon is also normal. Sotanghon lacks the taste of the crab. I think they cooked it separately that's why it doesn't complement that much.

Fish with tokwa is ok. The fish is soft and tender. The taste is ok. The tokwa is not bad too. It's best served with plain white rice because you get to pour the sauce into the rice. 127835

The yang chow fried rice is just like any other fried rice you can find in typical Chinese restaurants. 126980

All in all, I find Tung Lo Wan food express normal. Nothing so special but not so bad too. 128528

it was our first time to try, and upon entering, the place is full of diners and reserved round tables. Luckily they stepped out of their way preparing a table for us since we were only 3. their lechon macau and beef brisket hot pot is excellent! Overall I'm impressed! they use real clean wet towels too rather than disposable ones. much rare to see nowadays in Chinese restaurants unless you go to fancier ones. They serve you salted nuts too while you wait
sorry no photo, was quite hungry lol.

Would try their white and soy chicken on our next visit! they look plumpy, gelatinous skinned and cooked just right

It is one of the many restaurants along Wilson st. that serves Chinese food. We decided to try out our regular orders in Chinese restaurants which were the Lemon Chicken, Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, Yang Chow Fried Rice and the Beef with Broccoli.

We also ordered the Pata Tim with Steamed Buns, which is what you see in the photo above. The dish was delicious. The pata was just cooked just right plus the sauce complemented it well. The soup that we ordered was also delicious. The Lemon Chicken was a bit too sweet for my taste but it tasted great nonetheless. The other dishes were great as well!

What I also loved about the restaurant was their friendly and fast service. The dishes were served in about 10 minutes upon ordering. They were also generous in giving calamansi, which is a definite plus for me since I put calamansi on almost everything.

(yes it's weird...I know.)

All in all, I give them 5 stars!

was not in the mood for a heavy dinner so we just ordered 1 crispy noodles and 1 beef with ampalaya.

noodles were good. crispy and flavorful. not too salty. just right.

beef with ampalaya tastes good and it looks good too. just like a newly waxed car. hehe

cheapest food prices were in the low 200's to about 500+. not bad for a Chinese resto.

beware: cold towel costs 5 each. they will charge you without warning.

Food was nice, though we thought the fowl outside was peking duck. Unfortunately, it was just chicken that was hanged for everyone to see. Their servings are good for 2-3 people, so prices of the food go for Php200++. Not for a solo eater! One thing I was able to note though was their version of cereal prawns. Cereals. Like. Corn. Freaking. Flakes. Ditch your Singaporean tastebuds and try their cereal prawns!

Good: Cereal Prawns
Bad: Food was not spectacular
