Cool concept-- it's somehow like a library but you can eat and drink coffee inside. We tried their coffee and cake. It was ok. Not that memorable. Their book selection was also ok but of course if you are there with someone it would be rude to read a book so it would be best for those who wants to study or just chill by themselves. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood so it would be perfect for those who wants quiet time. They have very nice interiors but of course no wifi because they want you to read. 128518

They finally have Turning Wheel! The best double IPA in the Philippines that I've tried is by these guys from Cebu.
My daughter loved their Choco Lava.

Finally able to try tweedle, one of the hidden gems in terms of caffeeshops along Tomas morato.

This place is a little hard to find without our handy dandy Google maps since it is located in one of the side streets of Tomas morato.

I was surprised when I entered the store since the theme of their store is all wood from the tables, chairs and ceiling. They also have a bookshelf with a wide selection of books which you can borrow and read while at the store. They also have a loooooong table where friends can enjoy coffee together. They also serve food which we did not order since we were already full.

There we're plenty of employees around the time we visited. It seems like the employees overcame the customers. Haha. 128514 but mind me, they are all friendly and willing to help.

On to their coffee. I tried their hot latte. Upon serving it to us, I was a little shock on how small their glass for coffee is, not the typical big coffee mugs which we usually see. They also fill their coffee to the brim which was good despite their small glassware. Another thing that surprised me is that the coffee I ordered is NOT hot. I was wondering if I ordered warm latte or hot latte. 128517 maybe because they don't have handles for you to hold haha. The coffee was ok better than our everyday Starbucks latte but their coffee is a little mild so it won't wake you up.

I'm here again for an early afternoon beer.
Procrastination Pale Ale is one of the sweeter pale ales I've tried and I'm not complaining.
Recommended!

A cafe should have alcohol in its menu.
This one does.
It is a true cafe.
'Nuff said.

I really wanted to like this place, but our visit here was just okay. 128532 My bf and I ate here for dinner because I saw some photos on Instagram and they looked amazing.

I order the Ugly Duckling while my boyfriend had the Hangover 2. My dish was just super spicy, I couldn't taste it anymore. It just burned my tongue the whole time. Maybe the dish would come together if we ordered the most expensive Duck Duck Duck, but it's just ridiculously pricey that's why I just went for the rice bowl. The Hangover 2 was just okay too. Bland and greasy, and the only flavor that goes through is the kimchi, which is sad because the ingredients of the dish ideally have a lot of flavor.

The only saving grace for me in this place is their Butter Beer. In all honesty, it's like sipping the drink I've only read about in Harry Potter books. 128517 For that, I would come back. For food, never again what with the let down on taste and extremely high prices.

Tweedle is quite basically a lovely, quaint coffee shop with the most adorable concept (I mean, just take the name for instance!) and ambience. However the food and drinks have yet to live up to the hype the "book café" is beginning to generate. The selection of books is severely limited as well. But they do serve beer, so plus points for that.

However If I'm looking for a book café in the area, this isn't at the top of my list. I hate name dropping, but I'd much rather pay Café Diem a visit 128521

I was happy with my visit last week, wherein we ordered their pastas, cake and coffee... However, looking back, I remembered that both owners were present when we were there last week...

For my most recent visit, the servers could not have been more rude to me... I came here to study and enjoy some coffee, but I got really annoyed at the service...

Their staff needs to be taught some manners IMO... Yhe cashier handed me my change and it dropped to the floor... All she said was "Ay"... Oh my goodness, would it have killed you to apologize? Please lang, remember to be polite iha...

To the owners, please tell your staff that they just can't reach onto the table of the customers to get glasses or place their orders on the table without asking for permission. The guy in red clumsily clunked the glass of iced cafe mocha on my table... If that spilled onto my books or onto my phone, there would have been hell to pay, believe me... Plus he kept getting the glasses from my table without asking for permission or acknowledging my presence... It took all of my patience not to curse at that waiter... Read: BASTOS... And I don't condone that.

The staff were noisily chatting away before the owner came, not bothering to wipe the tables after the customers left or the foggy display case or the wet floor for that matter... Whatever... They could have been sued if someone slipped on the wet floor... They just sprung into action when the owner stepped onto the premises... Ugh, ang plastic! Really bad work ethic!

I fully intended to have dinner here but I already felt like I wasted P170 for the mediocre coffee and the sucky service... Never coming back, to think this has been my fifth visit...

Remember, there is never room for cockiness and rudeness in any service industry... Because there will always be newer and better restaurants or cafes that will open and draw your customers...

This pic is from my previous visit...

Hidden in the depths of Scout Grandia in Tomas Morato is a quaint cafe that is filled with books and curiosities.

It is apparent that the owner of Tweedle Book Cafe has good taste, from the books that she carries (Austen to Tolkien), the comics, the coffee, pastries, wine, and whiskey. You can see that the products she sells are of really good quality.

Tweedle Book Cafe is modestly-sized; They have a long cafeteria-style table in the middle, book shelves on the side, and a wine bar in the front. The place is very cozy and music is very soothing perfect for days when you just simply want to chill while reading/working and sip on good cup of coffee.

My one and only complain is about their furnitures. The chairs are so uncomfortable that my friends and I decided to cut our coffee chat short because we couldn't take the torture of their super hard wooden chairs. I really hope they change that soon because I really find this place conducive to work and learning. Other than that, this is a solid place for people to imbibe, both in drinks and in knowledge.

Cheers
Mickey

A unique find hidden within the streets of QC's Scout Area, Tweedle Book is more than the stereotypical cafe students usually flock into. It is relatively quiet, with a conducive ambience ideal for those cramming for exams or bookworms enjoying their favorite pocketbooks. More than that, they have delicious selections of coffee and even craft beer to choose from. Personal recommendation is their affogato. Hungry? They also have mouthwatering dishes, such as their outstanding version of Mac & Cheese (make that 3 cheeses). However, prices may seem kinda off for those on a budget, and the place does not have a wifi.

We came here for the butterbeer but I what I really loved was the food and the place itself.

Let me start with the butterbeer: it's not what I expected. They just used ice cream and soda water, then it was drizzled with caramel sauce. Worst part? It had nuts! It tasted like a cream soda, and not at all close to the flavor of a Peter's butter ball candy (I imagined butterbeer is a fizzed liquified version of that).

I got to taste their Ms. Margherite and I loved it. It was cooked with the kind of marinara sauce that I love—fresh tomatoes and basils, a mix of chunky and coarse slices of tomato and the pureed part was not at all sweet. They even used spaghettini so it was perfect!! I'm coming back for the steaks next.

The concept of the place is really evident. Bookshelves full of books, a ceiling written with names of classical authors, and even clocks that told the time of our favorite fictional places (ex: Rivendell).

They have a magnetic poetry set outside the bathroom to ease you during your waiting time, YA novels, and X-men comic books. If you wanna geek out, I think this is one of the places to be in.

Most days it's pretty quiet and it lets its customers really immerse themselves in their books, but there are some diners who come here to catch up with friends and that changes the mood altogether.

Introducing Tweedle's grand wedding and hangover 1. Grand wedding is just. Black tea - costs 195 a pot but this would go for at least 5 cups already. I prefer their magic charm though ( green tea)
Hangover 1 is their rice bowl dish consisting of beef salpicao , kimchi and egg -costs 370

For those looking for a place to study/ read or just chill out with friends i recommend tweedle. They have nice staffs, the place has good ambiance and most of all the food and beverage here is good as well :) parking is limited though :)
