Being a tea lover, this place soothes my heart. What isn’t that soothing is prices. You see, in my country tea is dirt cheap and TWG ramps up their prices like there’s no tomorrow. However, given their poshy ambience and immense selection of teas this seems to be fairly balanced.

I wish there were more true tea spots in Metro Manila, so I could go there to save ang aking pera.

P.S. I’ve been here many times and almost always they’re out of chocolate croissants. No wonder, it’s good stuff.

TWG Tea Salon and Boutique is one of the coziest tea place around Metro Manila. With elegant and beautiful interior. Looks expensive.

When we visited the place for dinner we tried the following:

127861 Nicoise Salad for Php455.00 - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5
“Southern French inspired salad with tuna confit and perfectly seared tiger prawns infused with matcha green tea, accompanied by a mix of greens, garnished with soft quail eggs, baby potatoes, edamame, sweet bell pepper and olives tossed in a honey lemon dressing.”

127861Seared Matcha Salmon for Php650.00 - 110881108811088️ 3/5
“Seared salmon fillet accompanied by a medley of summer vegetables drizzled with a balsamic vinegar caramel and Matcha oil.”

127861Neapolitan Beef for Php625.00 - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5
“Braised beef in Neapolitan sauce, infused with Comptoir des Indes Tea, accompanied with buttered asparagus and baby potatoes.”

The salad was a sure win! It was so good and appetizing. My least favorite will be the salmon ‘coz they served it dry and I can’t find the matcha flavor.

For desserts, we had some macarons paired with Moroccan mint tea.

TWG went a little EXTRA during their anniversary week. 55% off!!! Just remember to always reserve your November for an eat up in one of their branches.

I say their mains were a little OFF, that day, there was a big miss with the overcooked salmon. But but but!!! The macarons are always the GUCCI of this store. It never fails!!

Service was a little SALTY, but since i’m so satisfied with the prices, kudos and RESPECK for TWG!

Happy 2nd to the SQUAD!

What do you do when there’s a promo? OF COURSE, YOU MAKE SURE TO GET THAT PROMO!!! 🤗 Thanks to looloo and sis Peanut D, I was able to visit TWG last last week during their anniversary celebration... Not once, not twice but THRICE!! 128514128514 #abuso

*First visit was dinner with my officemates.
*Second was lunch with my officemates again.
*And 3rd was to buy macarons.

- SOUP OF THE DAY. Wasn’t able to try this but my officemate said it was good. Just too small since they used the tea cup.

- TRUFFLE FRIES. This was good. You can really smell and taste the truffle. Would be so much better if they used real potatoes instead.

- NICOISE SALAD. Super sulit. Got this for only 200++ and I got 4 (or 5) huge prawns and 4 uber fresh tuna!! The greens were fresh and crisp. Ahhhh, I just love everything about this salad — the quail eggs, the bell peppers, tomato, potatoes, and the light and yummy dressing. I’ll get this again even without the promo! 127775127775127775127775127775

- PARISIAN CREPE. Just okay. Maybe I am just not a fan of savory crepes. I didn’t like the creamy (not cheesy) filling inside. The filling felt bitin too. But for a little less than 150php, okay na.

- NEOPOLITAN BEEF and BEEF TENDERLOIN. Both were just okay. Hmm, not so tender but not that tough beef. The sauce was tasty though.

- PARIS SINGAPORE TEA and SAKURA! SAKURA! TEA. Both are really mabango and good. If the tea can only maintain its hotness, would loooove this even more. Make sure to try both and finish them right away. 127775127775127775127775127775

- AVIATOR SALAD. This was also good (but Nicoise salad is still the best!!). I liked the breaded soft boiled egg. The turkey meat and cheese added flavor to the salad.

- EGGS BEN (Turkey or Smoked Salmon). Since salmon is better and yummier, we got that one. The salmon + egg + hollandaise sauce was good but the bread was too hard that we didn’t finish it anymore. The complimentary tea bread was better. 128517

- BEEF LASAGNA. Maybe I expected too much? This was just okay. No truffle taste/smell. Huhu.

- It’s not all the time that you get to buy really good and yummy macarons for just 27php so I made sure to buy a lot of these yummy evil goodness before the promo ends. My favorites are the CHOCOLATE (omg so good), the pistachio, and the matcha!! 128525

SERVICE was just okay. The place was never full during our visits so I don’t know why it was so hard to call the servers and kung bakit parang ngarag sila. 🤔 Hmm, sakto lang. Just not exactly the kind of service you’d expect. 128563

Happy anniversary TWG!

Gusto ko yung medyo maasim niyang sauce at yung pasta firm pa or "al dente" yung pagkakaluto.

Kaya high 3-star rating. Ay! Round off na nga lang naten sa 4-stars kasi good vibes naman sila.

Sana next year malaman ko ng mas maaga para mas masulit ko pa. 128522

Happy Anniversary to TWG Tea Philippines! To celebrate this milestone, TWG offered 55% off on food items, and this special menu includes some of their crowd favorites! 10084

This also marks Team Kaladkarin’s 2nd Anniversary, so this may very well be a tradition for us! 128571 This eat-up means so much to me because I got to spend time with these foodies I absolutely love. It was quite a long shot to have all of us complete in one event, especially having the holiday rush starting to really be felt. Still we pushed through because the promo and the company was equally worth the commute from the North. 128569

I had the Chicken Gratin, the Ocean Crepe, three pieces of macarons and an order of ice cream. I even took home a box of 6 macarons. Total damage is just a little over PHP 1,000. Absolutely sulit! There were some misses on the savory food for me. I found my gratin lacking in flavor, but the texture was good. The crepe was nice, and I liked the salmon filling. I couldn’t complain about the sweets at all. 128568

You still have a few minutes to avail this offer in your nearest TWG branch! Celebrate with TWG Tea and Team K too! 10084

A few hours left to avail TWG’s 55% off promo on their macarons and dine-in menu to coincide with their 5th anniversary celebration!!! So be sure to check ‘em out today and get their delicious macaron for as low as Php 27.00 per piece!

Last night I got a box of 12 with some of their best-selling varieties to try at home! I love everything I’ve tried so far (I finished 3 of the variants while my mom got 2). I love the Camelot Tea & Praline the most and then the Earl Grey Fortune & Chocolate! Thank God I got two for these two particular variants!!!

I barely had macarons myself because I rarely go to places that serve good ones. I remember visiting Bizu in Greenbelt a few years back and loved their macarons so much! I thought it’s one of the best I’ve tried that year and trying TWG’s macaron this year definitely beat that one in an inch or two.

Quality-wise - TWG is perfect because of its perfect texture, right chewiness, and the cookie shells not breaking easily!

Flavor-wise - both TWG and Bizu are good, but I like how TWG came up with the variants of their macaron as some were mixed up with the tea flavors!

Like I said... You only have until today to visit the nearest TWG tea shop today and enjoy the 55% discount off their dine-in dishes and macarons!!!

Happy 5th anniversary, TWG!!! Thank yiu for the anniversary treat!!! 128076🏼

TWG went all out with their 5th Anniv slashing 55% OFF their food items! From soup to salad, sandwiches to crepes, pasta and mains, dessert and pastries PLUS MACARONS!

I went on a Friday afternoon and decided to stay for a while, have a snack, tea and a take out of Macarons. I though they were only having a price slash of their Macarons. I got so excited when the lady gave me their Anniv Menu where prices have been adjusted already! Yay!

I started off with an order of their Tea of the Day - Sweet Innocence. An aromatic pot of orange colored tea, with floral and fruity hints. Very delicate flavors, sweet and very light. Loved it!

Then I went on to order their Beef Lasagna that had a weak smell of truffle. Taste wise - truffle was too weak as well. But overall, I liked this! Not the best but so good especially when consumed warm. It was tasty and the red sauce had hints of basil.

The husband joined me for dinner and he got the Beef Tenderloin - cooked Medium. It was rather a small serving of meat BUT it was so good! Tasty, well seared, good form - went well with the Mushroom sauce. I also liked the touch of blue cheese walnut butter it was topped with.

I tried their Eggs Ben with Salmon instead of Turkey and found it okay. I don't know what's wrong with it. It wasn't wow.

For dessert, husband got the Chocolate Fondant. OMG this was so good! Not a dark chocolate fan, but this was good! Warm chocolate cake that was so rich and decadent, topped with a light custard and a scoop of Vanilla Bourbon Tea ice cream. I loved the ice cream too! Warm cake x cold ice cream = perfect combo! The ice cream helped in cutting through the richness of the cake.

We also bought Macarons for take out. I got all flavors available and plus half a dozen of their Earl Grey & Chocolate flavored Macarons.

My favorites among the flavors were the following:

1. RED VELVET - OH MY GOODNESS! This was so good! The shell has the right chocolate kick hiding behind the gorgeous red color. Honestly, it's better than all those pretending to be Red Velvet desserts out there. Plus, the filling was so good too! Smooth and thick cream cheese, with just the right tartness.

2. MATCHA! The shells were bursting with Matcha goodness! Though then filling didn't have that bold bitter taste, it didn't matter.

3. Earl Grey & Chocolate - I love the flavor of the tea that went well with the rich chocolate filling

4. Napoleon and Caramel - just because the caramel filling was so good!

Did you visit them already? 55% Off is only until today - ALL BRANCHES!

Another TWG review this time with Team Kaladkarin and in BGC branch. My round 2 of their 5th Anniversary promo. This branch is located inside Central Square. Place is elegant as always. On this visit we were a bit disappointed with the service. Place was full-house and the staff was a bit disoriented. Maybe they were lacking manpower during our visit.

For the food I got the Seared Matcha Salmon. Even we have already advised the waiter to make not to overcook the salmon. Still came out overcooked and a bit dry. :( Luckily I was hungry at that moment and still enjoyed it. The Matcha oil gave a bit of hint bitterness but wish to have a more evident taste of that flavor. I also got to get some bite of the others order. The Scallop Linguine was my fave. Delicious scallops and shrimp with a perfectly cooked pasta. Love it. For dessert I enjoyed my Vanilla Bourbon Tea Ice Cream but among the 3 variants my fave was the Singapore Breakfast Tea Ice Cream. It was so good.

Almost forgot I also love the Misua Salad este Nicoise Salad.128537

Overall enjoyed the food even though there was some misses. The service can have improvement I'll give them a pass maybe they are just having manpower issue.

College makes coffee lovers out of its students… except for people like me who end up being a tea lover. I survived my combined algebra and trigo class with the help of tea lol. It’s one of the things (aside from ramen, pasta, ice cream, and froyo) that I can consume on a regular basis. My love for tea is primarily the reason why I count TWG as one of my happy places.

The sheer number of TWG teas available is enough to overwhelm tea lovers and tea noobs alike so the tea list and booklet your server provides are ultimately your best friend. Or if you don’t have the patience or the time, feel free to test your server’s knowledge. Based on experience, TWG servers are very, very knowledgeable about their product.

One of the things I like most about TWG is that it’s very elegant but relaxing. I’ve been to its BGC branch twice in the past week. The first one I went alone and I didn’t mind because the ambiance suits a much-needed solo date.

Here are the teas I got to try during my two visits:

MIDSUMMER NIGHT TEA – Black tea with malty chocolate and spicy mint. Out of all the teas I had during my visits, this is my favorite since I enjoy having chocolate in my tea.

PINK FLAMINGO – This one’s green tea with hibiscus. It has a very subtle flavor and you get the hibiscus more as a scent than as a flavor in your tea. The tea comes in a really pale pink color, which makes it different from your usual tea.

MOROCCAN MINT – For my second visit, I had my tita with me and this is what she ordered. She found it rather bland since she was hoping for a strong mint flavor. I didn’t mind it much when I tried it and, like the Pink Flamingo, the mint was more of a scent than a flavor you can taste in your tea.

All of the teas I tried are priced at Php195. There are teas that are more expensive than these so make sure to double check the tea list before ordering.

During my second visit, my tita and I also shared a Matcha Mousse (Php230). This one was an instant winner. It may look small but I enjoyed the subtle matcha flavor and how it paired well with the chocolate and raspberry sauce. I also liked how it wasn’t sweet. Consistency-wise, it was really smooth.

When I am inside TWG I feel like in London having tea and eating macaroons. The interiors are elegant and IG-worthy. The staff are very courteous and friendly. I love their tea time set menus. Before they are labeled as king, queen, prince, dutchess and so on depending on the food set. The higher the rank, the more the food. Now they are labeled as chic and fortune only. It is a little bit pricey but the food is worth it.

My officemates and I are always eating out during dinner for us to be away from work even for only 1 to 1.5 hours.

After our heavy dinner at Kuppa one weeknight, we decided to have a cup of tea at TWG. The server recommended their Silver Moon Tea (195php). It's green tea based with a hint of strawberry and vanilla. It's perfect for two people, but might be bitin for 3. The tea was good but I just prefer black tea in general.

We also ordered few macarons to go with our tea. We had Number 12 Tea macaron, Napoleon, Red Velvet, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Timeless Tea macarons. I also ordered Matcha Green Tea and Earl Grey for Cindy S for take away. Among the flavors I sampled, I liked Napoleon and Matcha the most. Each macaron is priced at 60php.

Service that night was good except for a little mix up and delay with our receipts.

P.S. TWG has an elegant ambiance perfect for intimate bonding with friends.

P.S.S. Hi, Tea Timer badge! 🏅

If TWG celebrated World Macaron Day by giving 50% off, i joined in on the celebration by taking home an assortment of each flavor! 128517 And yes, the line!!!

What better way to parlay my Beauty and the Beast high/hangover (a French story) than to eat French macarons while humming "Be Our Guest" in my head.

My favorites would have to be the 2 purple ones:
- Grand Wedding Tea, Passion Fruit & Coconut
- Almond Tea & Blueberry Cream Cheese

I really appreciate how TWG infuses tea flavors into each of macaron's filling. I'm no macaron expert but these were super good! And even better at 50% off! 128539

Happy World Macaron Day! I decided to join the festivities at TWG. Yes, i had to fall in line but i didn't mind). Why celebrate at TWG? Well, 50% off sound good to you?

I arrived a little after 11 am and i was surprised to see a line. I guess everyone is in macaron mood today. I had to wait for 40 minutes before i reached the counter. The ones ahead of the line hoarded a boatload. And i was left with two pieces of Silver Moon. Nope, i didn't lose my cool as i was in a celebratory mood. I got myself a box of twelve and two separately packed for uncontrolled cravings.

Silver Moon. Truth be told i felt a lil bad when i got the last two pieces. I feel the people in line throwing daggers behind my back. Sorry folks! This is one of those days where my id takes over. The delicate exterior softly crumbles when you take a bite. A semi chewy x soft interior welcomes you. Then an onslaught of delicate flavors will tease you palate - some hints of raspberry and strawberry. Mmmm-mmmm.

Napoleon. This is what i always get whenever i dine at TWG. This is a lovely concoction of Napoleon Tea and Caramel. The flavor combination is delicate, slight hints of tea and caramel. What makes me giddy is that dem babies is not sickeningly sweet and oh it sports the lovely shade of black too!

I plan to go back soon. No, not for the macarons but for their scones. Yes, i love TWG. I love them more if they are on sale 128514

Twas 2nd day of their 50% off on their macarons. Went here last wed night and all were sold out. So when i had an errand near this place earlier i really make sure i dropped by before 11am as was advised by their staff. I was 5th on the line 15 minutes before opening time and the line was visibly getting longer every minute. So come here 15 minutes before the shop opens, its worth it.

All of their macarons are really good. Majority of the flavors were tea varieties.

We were able to try TWG's anniversary menu on the last day they offered it. 50% on all items except their teas. Our total bill for 3 plates, 5 macarons and 2 scoops of ice cream was 1100128522

I think I've tried almost everything on the menu here. What can I say, I really like this place. I was looking forward to getting the sea bass, unfortunately it wasn't part of their promo.

Ocean Crêpe smells so wonderful. Very light. But bitin talaga for me. For merienda only. The scallop linguini had a fair amount of seafood.

Beef tenderloin would've been better if they cooked it medium like we asked. It was served well done. Boo. Good thing it was still soft. Blue cheese walnut butter gave it a rich, tangy taste.

First time for me to try their ice cream. The teas were not too pronounced though.

As for the macarons, I've had better. Tried them here and abroad, multiple times but I always think they should tweak their recipe. Needs just a tad more filling and more chewy center sana.

Service here is always very attentive, which is what I also like about TWG. Except this visit. We were behind the tea display and it was very hard to call servers. While we were eating I called one of the servers to tell them (with a smile) they forgot to give us table napkins, and they came back with paper ones. Huh? They would normally even place the napkins on your lap. Oh well.

Came back around 7pm to take out food, found out only dining in is allowed during their promo. Sayang.

TWG did amazing changes on its anniversary week--50% off on all items except their teas! It was a little sneaky of TWG they got low profile and we only found out through a friend's pose ni Christina R. They especially made a menu with the discounted prices and i tell you, it was worth coming here.

TWG has always been the sossy places i wanted to go to. All their branches have a common feel of being locked up in a pile of golden tea canisters and tea cups. And yes, this is my first, i like their music! Very classical. Ballroom feels.

128204128525 french macaroons
128073🏻 quezo de bola
128073🏻 red velvet
128073🏻 128525matcha
Hey green tea lovers, try this out cause it really tastes so dark and good!
128073🏻 128525salted caramel
128073🏻 128525earl grey
128073🏻 special christmas flavor
That red macaron, tasted a little like minty licorice

128204128525 ocean crepe was @150PhP
Impressive smoked salmon crepe. Although the infused tea was not really that dominating (fact i did not taste the tea), the emmental cheese and leeks made it all creamy and tasty.

128204 beef tenderloin was @397.50PhP
This one they got it a little too off. They made it well done and a little medium in the middle. It was a bit tough to eat but above average naman. The sauce was infused with tea and i think i tasted a little wine in there. The blue cheese walnut butter was crying on top of the tenderloin--made it all appetizing. The hash on the sides was not overcooked.

128204128525scallop linguine was @262.50PhP
Nicely done. The cream based pasta dish was cooked aldente. The scallops were cooked PERFECTLY. I was too lazy to eat the shrimps but i got the de-shelled one. It was good as well. "Hands-up head down" (LOL)

128204napoleon tea ice cream was @60PhP
Thin flavors of Vanilla tea and Hazelnut. Macadamia nuts to make the texture great but it was too thin the after taste of sweetness dominates.

128204singaporean breakfast tea ice cream was @60PhP
I love that there's some kind of muffin in there. It tastes a little indian (would you know if it was a mix of saffron/ nutmeg/ cinnamon??)

We were positioned in a very stryegic place--a place where servers cannot immediately see you so you have to wave your hands like you ding care and call their attention many times. So service for this experience is a bit sluggish.

Overall i still love the place. Now we just have to remember the anniversary week. I admire them that they don't need much marketing kasi they really dont need much of it. People who have experienced TWG will always go back. Kaya lang their tea prices are OVERLY high.
