My friend and I went on a food trip around Rockwell two days ago, which ended in TWG because we wanted a place where we can sit and talk. We're both heavy tea drinkers so it wasn't hard to figure out where to go.

We arrived just a few minutes before 5 pm so we could still get ourselves a tea time set. We chose the 1837 with scones. We were pretty excited about it 'cause the last time we had the scones when we dined in their BGC shop, there was something about the cream that we loved so much. It was smooth and sweet and made us wish we had crackers with us when we ran out of scones just so we can keep eating the cream. Haha

I don't know why but the cream that came with the scones this time around tasted different. Nearly bland. So it was disappointing for us. The scones themselves were nothing special.

I made my friend pick the tea since I always find it hard to do so. She picked the Choco Mint Truffle Tea (T2001, under South Africa Red Tea) after she decided to open the tea book on a random page. We liked the tea very much since we've always loved the flavor combination present in the tea. The mint brought a refreshing note to the tea but the chocolate gave that "comfort food" kind of feel when I drank it. Really good!

Tea time at TWG from 3pm-6pm and we had the Imperial set (choice of tea + finger sandwiches + scones)

We had the Silvermoon tea and ordered another Midnight in Dubai hot tea. Food in this set wasn't appetizing but the their teas are great!

I love tea as much as I love coffee. I love my tea time as it is my me time session. I would often head to TWG Shangri-La Plaza branch and get the innermost corner seat for some privacy, not that I do anything secretive. I would usually face opposite the other diners and have the huge column adorned by tea jars as my date.

I once visited the TWG branch in Powerplant Mall and it was more crowded than my favorite branch. I still managed to get an innermost table but since the place was cramped, I was sharing the tiny area with another table that seats three diners.

Undecided on what to try, I asked for recommendations. I was told that the Smoked Turkey Sandwich (PHP395), then a new creation or offering, would be a great option. As a person who never turns down an insider’s suggestion, I gave in. It also comes with a TWG Tea exclusive blend. I got Magic Flute because its name caught my interest.

In about 10 minutes, my lovely sandwich anf tea were served.

The smoked turkey ham was well prepared. It was not overly salty and it was beautifully complemented by the vegetables, Emmental cheese topped with Comptoir de Indes Tea infused S’moret and flaky and soft croissant. I also enjoyed the crisp homemade potato chips which were not greasy at all! The Garden Salad was also a nice side dish to balance the saltiness of the turkey and chips.

Sadly, I do not remember anything about the Magic Flute. It didn’t have a unique taste that stood out. All I remember was that it kept me warm (as I was freezing that day).

I'd love to order this dish again and pair it with another interestingly named tea.

It was my first time trying TWG's macarons. I don't even remember the flavors that I ordered. All I remember was asking the staff to get one piece of each available flavor at that time. lol

Each macaron costs Php55. Love the packaging too!

It's really hard to review a macaron. Bottom line is all the flavors tasted really good! 128588

Was having an off day at work so I needed to escape and decided to take the rest of the day off. And to calm my nerves decided to have a pot of tea Silver Moon to be exact at TWG! Paired with my fave macaron flavor greentea and napoleon! Yummm! Service is great as ever!

When i was a kid, Grams used to force me to drink a local tea called pito-pito. Me being a kid, hated the ordeal. The stuff tastes like cat piss. Why am i sharing this? I dunno. I guess growing up drinking pito-pito somehow awakened my tastebuds for the distinct flavor of tea (local and artisan)

I am a coffee person, i can't start my day without coffee. I get headaches and transform into a horrible person without an iota of caffeine in my bloodstream. From time to time, i try to break the routine by replacing coffee with tea. Until recently, i never knew that there are different type of the leafy green stuff. My knowledge begins and ends with green and black tea.

A couple of years back, Manila was hit by the Milk Tea storm. Milk tea joints spread like wildfire then there's TWG. The Wellness Group caters for the hardcore tea afficionados.

Had my first TWG awakening at Greenbelt 5 (the first branch in Manila). The whole place has the King Midas feel (everything you touch turns to gold). Savvy interiors and an impressive chinaware. Attentive and friendly staff. Good service.

Do not get your hopes up, i have only tried three types of tea here. Silver Moon Tea is the one that got stuck in my memory. Black tea with subtle flavors of raspberry. Aromatic, light and refreshing. Order one pot along with a set of scones.

The scones are served with jam and whipped cream. I find it weird at first but the flavors compliment each other. Whipped cream - light and fluffy, the jam reminds me of The Fruit Garden (Artisan Jams), sophisticated flavor, not too sweet but the flavor hits you in the right places.

If you want a break from Twinings, TWG is worth the extra bucks and you get to experience British tea time.

I feel like faking an Essex accent right now. 128522

The Scallops Linguine was great. Then we tried the Weekend at Dubai and Happy Hour Tea. The Napoleon Macaroons was delicious.

The staff are smiling and they are always attentive and willing to help you decide on what to order.

Seared Matcha Salmon at TWG! The salmon though was cooked through, but apart from that, the dish was really good. 128077

A good place for an afternoon chat or relax after dinner. I had their Silver Moon tea, it was nice, light and refreshing. Also had their Scones Platter to go with their tea, it was okay.

I will never get tired of TWG's scones and their clotted cream & tea jelly. I always order their high tea and choose 2 scones because I find their muffin very dry.128078

The server suggested Happy Hour for my tea and I think I'll stick with Silver Moon next time.

After my morning meeting in UCC, I scheduled my next two meetings in Rockwell as well. I ventured back into the mall and settled into another quiet corner in TWG.

I needed something to melt away my heavy UCC meal and my server suggested Tea No. 7 with a side order of Sakura Sakura. I felt he knew what he was talking about so Tea No. 7 it was.

No. 7 was a green tea with peaches. Nice soothing flavor, slightly bitter sweet. I took it hot with no sugar. It helped to settle my tummy and calm me down for rest of the afternoon.

Aside from the tea, I had the Sakura Sakura Macaron prescribed by my server, Mike. This cherry-filled macaron was a perfect complement. A little on the sweet sour side but perfect nonetheless.

Felt so sophisticed after this! Couldn't help but sip my tea with pinky up! 128522128521128521

The second best macarons ive tried next to laduree. These tea-infused macarons are just perfect. I can finish 20pcs in one sitting(or more). I find it really really good. Napoleon Tea and Caramel, Camelot Tea and Praline, Earl Grey Fortune & Chocolate and my favorite Vanilla Bourbon Tea and Kaya. 128076128076128076

My family and I are avid fans of TWG. Wherever we go, whether it's Shang or Rockwell or Greenbelt, we just have to eat something from TWG. Usually, even after eating dinner, we go to TWG just to have tea and dessert. I guess the Chinese can never resist the opportunity to drink tea, huh? Haha.

The prices in high-end places can sometimes really cause you to question why you even ate there in the first place. But, when you receive the service they give and eat the food they cook, all your questions disappear. The trade off between food and spending money is truly a pain but is a choice that we must all make. Personally, I'd rather enjoy life -eating, seeing, hearing and soaking in as much of it as I can, even if it comes at a cost. Afterall, we only live once, don't we? (considering afterlife isn't a certain thing) I think it isn't bad to splurge and eat your heart out once in a while.

Why not pamper yourself to a great breakfast, brunch, lunch, "merienda" or dinner at TWG? You deserve it. 978610084

*P.S. I was too excited and forgot to mention that their creme brulee, macarons and seared sea bass with pumpkin risotto are the BOMBS. Their tea line up can be overwhelming but definitely worth a shot. Choose your tea well though since they're like jelly beans or chocolate bonbons; they suit your taste at times but there are also times when they are just plain nasty. 128553 Yup. 128522

Gingerly ordered the Royal Crepe. It had diced chicken, mushrooms and bechamel sauce. Infused with Singapore Breakfast Tea. I thought it was going to be bland but was so pleasantly surprised with its burst of flavors. Coupled the crepes with Kenya Tea.

Will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

TWG's pan seared sea bass with risotto is the first risotto I have tried so there's really nothing to compare it to.

However, it tasted divine. The sea bass was soft and fresh especially after putting a little lemon.

The risotto was just perfect. It was really good and creamy. It was like the honeymoon of cheese and milk. Haha ! I'm really not in the know when it comes to cooking but I'm trying to explain honestly what it was like for me. 128521

I'll give this 5 stars despite the fact that it's a little pricey. 128076
