This is my second time at Tymad Bistro, and this time I brought my wife and kids with me. Usually, returning to a restaurant you previously dined in results in slightly diminishing returns. Rose-tinted glasses are off and as with movies, sequels are more often than not, a disappointment.

Tymad Bistro however did not disappoint. From our escargot appetizer, to our tarragon chicken and lapu-lapu main dishes, to our desserts... everything was scrumptious. As good as I remember it when I was here a year ago.

Will definitely be back next time as there's still so much we want to try, but alas our limited stomach capacity hindered us from doing so.

A small French cafe located along Maria Luisa St. is Tymad Bistro. (You can't miss this place - huge sign plus cars in front of it) We were looking for a quick dessert fix at 11PM and were lucky to find that this spot was still packed with people just chatting and taking their time.

I am not an expert in French macarons but I would say theirs is very good. The only ones I've tried so far are those from TWG and Bizu and while they were good, I thought they were very sweet. This one though was just right. Tried to take several small bites to make it last and to stop myself from ordering the remaining vanilla macarons and eating them all before 12MN. 128514

Would love to try their dessert crepes next time! This spot looks like they have a lot of good food to offer!

Also plus points, their servers are super friendly! 9786

Tymad is one of my family's favorite restaurants. It's authentic French cuisine is the best the city has to offer. Chef Philippe knows what he's doing - and he's doing it so right!

First, the escargots. Oh, glorious escargots. The snails are imported, and as with what we, Filipinos, love with imported things, it's absolutely soft and perfect. It is cooked the usual way the French do it - with parsley, butter and garlic.

For mains, try ALL of what's on the menu. The Gambas Provencales au Pastis is my favorite. It's jumbo prawns with fried garlic and pastis flambé. I can't quite point out what makes the sauce so delectable, but omg, it is just... Mmmm. *food coma* Their Saumon á la Béarnaise (grilled salmon in a Classic French sauce of clarified butter, flavored with herbs), Filet mignon de porc au poivre (pork loin in pepper sauce, brandy flambee), Poulet Tarragon, and Steak Chez Philippe are all soooo delicious - all so tender and cooked to perfection. Did I tell you about the sauces? They are all made fresh (even made to order), and they don't scrimp on em at all!

For desserts, you must get their Mille-Feuille. TO DIE FOR!

Their Crepes and Galettes are worth a try too!

Tymad Bistro is one of the many restaurants that I choose to visit over and over. The foodgasm you'll get is beyond satisfaction. Equipped with high-end customer service, relaxing ambiance and delectable food, you will surely get hooked with this place like me.

The food is reasonably priced. It has been a misconception that Tymad, being a usual hangout for foreigners, serves expensive food.

They serve the best pastries. You will notice on the menu that they offer different types of crepes. Parfait au chocolait is their bestseller but my mouth waters for their Butter croissant, creme brûlée and strawberry tart. Aside from that, they also serve French dishes. You can actually find the menu online.

This place is just amazing. ;)

Tymad Bistro conveniently located at Paseo Saturnino, Banilad Cebu City is a premium dining place. It is a French restaurant equipped with high-end customer service, superior and classy ambience for delectable and appetizing French cuisine.

Owned by a French Chef, this place tops all in terms of elegant dining experience and posh milieu that sets out a blissful mood as well.

You have to try their tasty Cotes de Porc Persillade (pork chop), Filet Mignon de Porc Au Poivre (Pork Loin) and Poulet Tarragon (Chicken). These are best served with Red Wine.

They also have a delightful selection of desserts that you really need to sample. Topping the list would be Parfait au Chocolait, a gooey chocolate treat with sweet sauce on the side.

Though not far behind is Nutty Chantilly, a thin crepe served with Nutella spread, formed like a star topped with whipped cream.

I truly love and highly recommend this place.

Blueberry cheesecake was a revelation :) yummy yum!

Also ordered their "bestseller" tart. It was an upside down apple tart. Taste was okay but top sweet for me.

If you like Cafe Breton but find their crepe servings to be too small to satisfy, try this place out. For 380 you can get the Crepe Burger or the Country Crepe. Two burger parties or a burger patty and a slice of ham. Has Bechamel sauce, and egg, and a perfectly cooked crepe.
Frequented by Cebu expats, this place has a French chef who hangs in his own restaurant.
Highly recommended.
