A quiet place to just relax and enjoy good coffee.

Since I have time to spare, I ordered their 氷コーヒー(kōri kohi) Php 220. It is cold brew sumiyake iced cubes paired with warm milk. The milk will dissolve the coffee cubes and you can now enjoy your coffee.

Well if you have time to spare, why not create your own?

1. Drip some espresso or just dissolve the black instant coffee of Nescafe! 128517

2. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.

3. After freezing, put it in a glass then warm some milk.

4. Pour the warm milk and enjoy!

Pero syempre huwag mong gawin sa UCC! Suggestion lang yan sa bahay or office. Tipid mode rin minsan, inflation is REAL! 128517

It took me several minutes to select the best food to try. The reason, “I believe that price should equate the serving.” But apparently, my expectation for UCC was not met.

I ordered a Hokkaido French Toast with the option of bacon and egg (Php 297). It has some greens and a slice of orange. I felt that they honor the word “singular” or “minimalist in their dish.

- 1 piece bacon
- 1 egg
- 1 lettuce (red)
- 1 lettuce (green)
- 1 sliced orange
- 1 slice of big bread (cut in half!)

Sooooo, dissecting it, the price really does not equate the quantity. Butttt, the good thing, it taste pretty well. The french toast was not too sweet while the bacon was crispy.

When I get back, would just go with coffee. After all, that’s their strength! 🙂

Finally got to try their Kori Kohi! I’ve been meaning to try this one out as I want to experience pouring that warm milk over those ice coffee cubes. It’s really cool! As for the taste, it was quite milky but a good one on a hot day. Paired it with their veggie pasta (forgot the full name) which was just okay. Guess I still want meat in my pasta 128541

While my sisters watched Boss Baby the other day, my parents and I opted to eat here while waiting. I got the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, which was surprisingly really good. The bread on its own is very tasty and I love the marinara sauce it's served with.

My mom and dad shared the Cliffhanger. What we immediately noticed is how it's so much smaller now. But we didn't mind since its former size was overwhelming. Like two blocks of sandwiches.

Would've given this place 5 stars but again, service is 128529. One server mixed up the bills and kept offering us other tables' bills even if we didn't even ask for ours yet. And the servers in general preferred to chat and gossip than do other things

Had merienda here earlier today and the overall experience was just okay. UCC has always been one of those places where it's either a hit or a miss.

One of my sisters ordered the Chocolate Milkshake, which was just so-so for her. My second sister ordered an Iced Coffee and she said it wasn't what she expected. I asked her just now as I'm writing this review how it tasted. She said she doesn't remember lol

My third sister ordered the Cliffhanger and she immediately noticed the changes in size and shape. "I was expecting block-shaped sandwiches," she said.

My dad had the brewed coffee that came with a cake for the day, which was the Coco Mango. We liked it at first but eventually the coconut drowned the mango.

Service-wise, the servers spent a lot of time just chatting amongst themselves by the counter. Forgot a few things that we requested for. So yup, it could definitely be better.

UCC's chicken longganisa is 10084️, the garlic rice wasn't. It was kinda sticky and hard but was garlicky. The scrambled eggs were good naman but it wasn't as fluffy as i thought it would be. P320 for the breakfast. I got a UCC special blend to go with my breakfast. Their coffee NEVER disappoints!!! It is smooth and non-acidic. P120.

This morning was meant for quiet time and i got there an hour before lunch and stayed in their area in the end. It was nice to stare into space for a while without hearing anyone yakking noisily beside you. I like going here. 128522

P.S. Peanut D i used the GC you guys gave a different time. Sorry i wasn't able to review because i didn't have a photo! Heehee 🤗

It was the week after Christmas and we’re back to work! Huhuhu. Major vacation hangover. 128557 Met up with Yina for a quick lunch and we decided to use the UCC gift certificates we received during the Dean and Deluca looloo rendezvoos last year.

It was actually my first time to try the meals here. I’ve been to a couple of branches before but just for the coffee. No idea which ones are their bestsellers so I picked the one that sounded the safest to order (which happens to also be my default order in Japanese restaurants). Yina ordered their Filipino Breakfast set with additional toasted bread and Coffee Cooler, while I opted for Chicken Teriyaki donburi and ripe mango fruit shake. Yina’s food arrived right away but mine took them forever to serve. I had to follow up because Yina was almost halfway through her meal and I was already starving. #hangry 128527

Good thing the food didn't disappoint me. The chicken, although a bit overcooked tasted pretty good. Savory with a hint of sweetness, it was perfectly tasty dish. The ripe mango shake was sweet, refreshing and delicious.

They also have a variety of cakes for dessert. I would have wanted to try their ube or halo-halo cake but my tummy had no more space for more food.

Service was so-so. Their staff was a bit a bit slow, and they didn't look too accommodating.

Thanks looloo for the GCs. 128513

Everyone in my family would definitely choose UCC over starbucks. Not only because brewed coffee tastes better(i think so too!), but also it's not too crowded. Ofcourse, everyone ordered brewed coffee(look at everyone's happy faces) and i got the Japanese cheesecake. It was nothing too special.

the four stars are for this one treat. one treat that's part coffee, part ice cream. one hybrid treat to rule them all. the affogato. a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of rich espresso. UCC does this well. this treat will own you.

I bet you have never had a Halo Halo Cake! It's time to try it and be surprised with this unusual take on our favorite cooling dessert!

It had sweetened bananas, jackfruit, red beans, macapuno, cream, leche flan and ultra soft ube chiffon cake. It was served with cornflakes-topped nangkasuy ice cream. What else would you want?

Halo-Halo may not be your cup of tea but I'm sure this will be!

Here is a cafe where not just the desserts stand out, but also their pasta and meals. In fact, I usually go to Ucc for the main dish, not really for dessert. My comfort food here is the Hamburg Rice Casserole, which is similar to a curry dish. It has cheese and a thick sauce, plus the rice is soft and sticky, just the way I like it. In fact, I like it so much that every time I plan to try something new, I would always change my mind and end up ordering my favorite!

I also got the Iced Hong Kong Milk Tea, but it was nothing special. The rice casserole though makes the restau worth 5 stars.

Ucc will always be a go-to place for tasty dishes :)

Ordered a split of their Cliffhanger sandwich and Lengua pasta with my colleague eating the 2nd half.

The Cliffhanger is a breaded and deep fried sandwich with cheese and chicken in it. Visually teasing and crunchy but it can be cloying (nakakasawa) to eat so it needs either mayo, or mustard to enhance and remove the umay. It was only a 3/5, where the visuals don't measure up to the taste. Thought it'd be along the lines of Bennigan's Monte Cristo from a few years ago. But no, that was brilliant. This one is so so.

The highlight is the Lengua pasta. Yummy! Spaghetti with generous portions of lengua and mushroom sauce. That was enjoyable. Made up for the decent but cold service we received. Maybe Chilis and TGIF spoiled me but naman, a little more amor and enthusiasm to the guests! 128527

Lol.
