One of the best japanese resto in the PH! Fresh food, great ambience, superb service!

The saba shioyake is our favorite, it comes in a set menu as seen on the pic.

Another great Japanese restaurant! Wasn't expecting much because I know that Dusit thani is well known for their Thai food and not Japanese food..but to my surprise they had a GREAT tasting set of foods. Everything we ordered tasted great and authentic. Their sashimi are fresh from Japan shipped via hand carry. Also the Japanese chef was hands on to our sushi boat (or whatever they call it) haha! Now clearly defines the line "you get what you paid for"🇯🇵128077128516

I'd give Umu 10000000 stars if I could. Simply the best Japanese spot in the Metro, IMO. Rang in my birthday here last year and I couldn't have picked a better resto to celebrate in! The assortment of sushi, most especially the Salmon sashimi is the freshest I've ever tasted. Their tenderloin is just plain wonderful. Their Sukiyaki is hands down the best I've ever had. Umu, Umu, Umu... There are no words for how much I love this place! 100841280771008412807710084128077

If you want quality Japanese buffet, this place is worth a shot. The restaurant has a very relaxing aura, probably because of the zen interiors and it's overlooking a garden.

Good evening guys
I must start by saying that the choice (for an anniversary dinner) was inspired by your reviews
On the food front you did not disappoint so humble thanks
The meal was excellent the staff friendly and efficient , more so once the got over my film star looks and tried to actually listen to the order rather than guessing at it
The ambience was a little strained as a large party had commandeered the main eating area but we made our own atmosphere so all good
Sake was great I had lots (and lots)
Did I mention the sake?

Everytime I go here for the crossover buffet, 80 percent of what I shovel into my mouth is from the teppanyaki station (steak, shrimp & salmon). Its that good.

I attended a Robinsons Land Luxuria investors meeting here... Merely as a food tester 128540128541128518 and not an investor. I'm not their target market. Lol.

Okay, granted I'm only here for my cameo (pardon the cinematic use here), so it's not my gig. I didnt order my food here so it's a buffet-ish sit down.

I loved their salmon sashimi (not in pic), it was so fast moving, I couldn't take a pic cause I was very very hungry!128541128517128520

Their Yaki soba was so so. A bit sour finish so not my type. The other dishes were more of the pica pica variety but also good. This place reeks of money. As in for high end market. So it's a proper location for a Robinsons Luxuria event then. The ambience is pretty good. Service was decent.

Not sure if I'll come back here on my own. But maybe I'll read up on Looloo reviews like April V's to get inspiration for my next visit. Meantime there's still Wafu in GH, Saboten in Serendra, and old faves Sugi, Kimpura, and casual dining T Boy and old fave Kamameshi House to keep my Japanese craving and foodie habits to keep me busy.

I love Japanese food!!!128526128527128061

This place has got to be the best Japanese restaurant in Manila! 128077128077128077 well in my opinion at least hehe.

Friday night dinner deserves a treat for the whole week of work and studying. We ordered our usual salmon and tuna sashimi. Lots of it. Best and freshest sashimi I've had. seriously. Oh and let's not forget, Chawanmushi!!! Gah! Again, best one I've tasted so far. Egg custard soup in a small bowl, meat and seafood in every bite 128523 That's just for starters.

For the mains we got mixed tempura, ika fry, and stir fried veggies with beef strips. Drool. Sarap! But the highlight of the night was our Sukiyaki (in photo, 1 of 5 bowls 128518) Sukiyaki in this joint is cooked in front of you by the staff, following Japanese tradition of making proper sukiyaki 128079 Feeling authentic since I haven't been to Japan 127884 (soon. I hope) You can definitely see the fresh ingredients that you're about to eat (read: meat looked red and healthy) Since there were 5 of us, they served it in 5 individual servings. Each bowl hosts big pieces of meat, tofu (big-ass) cube, mushrooms, and sukiyaki sabaw!!! Orgasmic! 128541 If you love sukiyaki, visit this place and you'll never be disappointed. Not so sweet and generous serving. Umu sukiyaki puts other sukiyakis to shame.

By the end of the meal, we were all so full and happy. And sleepy. Lol.

I wanna go to Japan!!!

Been craving for Japanese for a few days... and I finally gave in! 128077

I actually just wanted to have maki but since I was with my dad, we ordered these: garden salad, spicy tuna maki, uni sushi and an unagi set. 128516

You know how I always order katsudon? Well, my dad always gets unagi! :)) #walalang

Anyway, the set had miso soup, salad, pickles, something with mushroom and ice cream (mango caramel)! 128525 - I had some eel and the ice cream.

I also ate most of the maki and really I loved it! The vegetables were really good, accdg to daddy. LOL. As for the unagi, it didn't seem oh-so-delish. I even wanted to ask for more sauce because it seemed dry but when I had a bite, it was really good! No wonder why daddy likes it so much. 128565

As for the price, we used a wine & dine card and got a pretty big discount. And... it was on my dad so #happydance! Hihi. 128521

I've eaten here a couple of times, and it's amazing. Of course I only go here with my parents because the price... I haven't even seen the menu.

Because it is in a hotel, you can expect the service to be great. The restaurant itself is incredible in design.

Now onto the food! My favourite- hands down- is their salted sea bass I just eat that with gohan, and I'm good to go. I have tried their chicken teriyaki but I can't get the sea bass out of my mind... I'll pay attention to their menu next time and try something else.

Take the UMU buffet and find yourself in Japanese heaven! Lovely sushi selection and sashimi slices. Interiors and ambiance are also a winner! Don't worry if you get too many plates, the staff are nice enough to help you carry it to your table. 128077
