A collegue has been raving about Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake and urged me to try a piece. I should have read the reviews on looloo. Meh. Kampon ni Mamon!128514

I was immediately reminded by Red Ribbon's mamon. Mas Mura pa. I'm also not into mamon. Ayoko ng matabang! I will not pay 99 pesos for this again. WIT! #WalangMakakapigilSaken

Finally gave in to Uncle Tetsu! Been seeing the stall in ATC for a long time now and I was quite adamant to try it due to mixed feedback. I've read blogs giving praise but what the they've been paid to write so you know...meh! Since it was affordable and they have mini cheesecakes, I decided to get the classic and chocolate - 99php each.

Verdict? Meh 128556 it was like eating an upgraded Red Ribbon Mamon. The Jap Cheesecake was softer, of course, but instead of being cheesecake like soft and light and creamy, it was cakey. Sure there were hints of the cheesecake but then again, NO! 128514

It wasn't sweet, mind you, but it was definitely bland. Not really too bad if you haven't tried Green Cheese or Kumori.

Decided to try Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake after passing by their stall and then reading a ton of positive reviews about it.

I couldn't buy a slice which was a bummer since I wantes to try it put so I decided to just buy a whole cheesecake since it wasn't that expensive at 299 pesos.

The packaging was really simple and cute, much like the cake.

I had pretty high expectations since the reviews described it as heavenly. I was kind of disappointed that, aside from its melt-in-your-mouth texture, it wasn't that remarkable. It tasted like normal mamon that was fluffier than usual.

I would probably eat this again. It was pretty good but definitely over-hyped.

I've been eyeing on this stall ever since, and finally I got to try their Toasted Cheesecake (75 php). Actually, I really wanted to try their Original Cheesecake which costs 299 php but I find it too expensive.

The toasted cheesecake can still be a melts-in-your-mouth - I mean it's not really toasted where you can see burned/toasted parts. There's nothing special on this one. It was just so so. I actually expected that I could eat this pack all by myself but I opt to share it nalang.

P.S. I've eaten some sticks already on this picture. Haha 128516

I initially thought they were serving cheesecake as in NY or Blueberry Cheesecake, so I was disappointed to find out that what we bought was mamon-ish. Oh boy, was I wrong to have judged that super fluffy, cheesy, melts-in-your-mouth cake! Been getting take outs from this kiosk since this fateful day of enlightenment 128522
