Good reasonable priced chinese food. Although a chinese seafood resto, their best seller is chicken pie. Try it next time you dine at this place

Awesome authentic Chinese food in, where else--- Binondo! Uno is among my boss' favorite Chinese restaurants and he takes a lot of our principals here.

I was finally able to join them after one afternoon touring Intramuros and Binondo. I can't believe I'm in Binondo. I either just pass through this, or I've not been here since I must've been a kid.

Anyway, Uno is one of the more fine dining set up restos here, as it looks better than the ol' favorite, President's. My boss (did I fail to say he's 100% Fil Chinese and grew up in Binondo!) says he likes Uno over President's (maybe their taste deteriorated or something, besides I only tried it in Megamall during my SMC days years ago).

You know it's got authenticity and quality when you enter, aquariums on one side, a dimsum cart going around, and the smell! Mmmmm... Yes I'm biased for Chinese and I gotta love I'm part Chinese, too. (Kung Hei Fat Choy, btw).

My boss orders for the table.

The suckling pig (top pic) is among the first dishes to arrive... Yummy. Crunchy skin, succulent meat, hoisin sauce on the side, and seaweed on the side. I didn't like seaweed when I was younger but I became super in love with it na since my teenage years. It's slippery, but finishes with a good crunch at the end, with a bit of tartness and a tinge of sesame oil taste. 5/5

Interestingly, the standout dish to me was the salt & pepper eel! (pictured bottom left) - - - I tell you, I don't normally appreciate eel. But when I bit into it, I actually thought to myself (not knowing the order of my boss), hmmm this salt & pepper spare ribs is unbelievable soft ah. 128513128517128520 the Crunch and saltiness of the pork but the softness of cooked eel. Yummy! 5/5

The steamed grouper was awesome, but I didn't feel like eating too much. Or was it lapu lapu? 4/5

Abalone with vegetables - it's not for everyone. But I appreciated it. This is expensive stuff! I'm thinking to myself. 3.5/5

Crispy noodles. Chinese noodles is one of my perennial weaknesses in term of carbs in any form. I'll eat it even if it's not great tasting. 128521This one, though, is an absolute must order to complement the dishes. 4.5/5

There were a whole slew of other dishes, mostly seafood, but I failed to take pictures so I don't remember them all. Dang, this was just a few weeks ago. Anyway, last dish is...

Seafood Taro Pie interesting. Good crust covering mounds of seafood in a thick broth. Wow. Yummy. With taro as the complementing carb and laman of the pic. Problem is, it arrived last so we were all so stuffed by that time! Super lots of this remained. Take out, please! 4/5

Dessert was so so, sesame balls (buchi) and some kind of ube Mochi balls! 3/5

Service was prompt, food arrived quickly, my boss in fact had to tell them to slow down. Hahaha. 5/5

If you're ever in this 'hood (our very own Chinatown), this is the place to go to and eat the best food. Don't ask me how much. Peanut D #ilovemyjob

We celebrated mother's birthday with a simple meal tonight, an advanced celebration was done last sunday with more family members.

We ordered the Chinese birthday misua, a must for birthday. a clear soup with wintermelon, mushroom, bamboo pith and Yunan ham. Thai style fish fillet with sweet chilli sauce and slices of green mango, fried pork spare ribs with cashew nuts, slices of peaches and caramelized syrup. Stir fried spinach with minced garlic. A mixed fruit platter for dessert.

The place is brightly decorated with chinese decorations, staff were attentive, but noise level is high, typical with restaurant frequented by old chinese.

Weird, for a Chinese restaurant their best seller is the chicken pie. Another dish that I'll recommend is the goat stewed in a clay pot, just ask the waiter what its called.

Such a waste that we ate before going here. The food was good. My aunt enjoyed the fried rice and the fried oyster. They also ordered the lamb thing with bread and of course my favorite, suahe! :)

Went here to play dice game with family and relatives for mooncake festival and won 460 pesos only. Sayang. 6k pa naman yung chong guan (1st prize). 128522

Just want to share 2 amazing dishes that night. The top one is actually the ducks fried balat with a little meat which you wrapped in a crepe type lumpia wrapper and with a little hoisin sauce making this dish so delectable. The bottom one is the ducks meat minced, add slices of labanos and crispy noodles served with lettuce which is the wrapper and hoisin sauce to make it even tastier making this two our instant favorites.

*they also have good chicken pie from my first review 128522

Ending the Binondo foodtrip at UNO seafood wharf palace. The best food from our order list is their chicken pie, you can eat the crust alone.

We got discount because my officemate is a family friend of the owner.

Good food, good service.

The best spinach seafood soup. The best yang chow fried rice. The best XO (fried oyster). The best hot prawn salad. They just have almost all the best authentic Chinese food. Didn't order for my favorite chicken pie this time since we have to wait for 30 mins for this dish, not this time....

The resto is just jam packed to think it is just 630pm when we arrived. And it is always like this. And chicken pie is one of their best sellers no wonder we have to wait that long.

This is one of the must try restos when you are around binondo area.

Ate with my friend's family for dinner on a tuesday night and to my suprise the restaurant was packed from the 1st floor up to the 2nd! "Grabe" I guess it's that delicious over there, judging by so many patrons at a tuesday. Very delicious chinese food with a reasonable price!!

I'm sorry that I don't know the specific names of everything we ate! There were just so many food heading heading our way, but all I could say is that every single dish didn't disappoint! And I was also kinda embarassed to take a picture because I was just a guest! I know you guy's would have loved it though. :)
