If you're looking for a cozy Italian deli restaurant, I would recommend Va Bene Pasta Deli by Chef Massimo Verones. A unique and authentic Italian food resto who serve fresh pasta and pizza which brings you to the streets of Italy.

Awarded as the best Italian Restaurant in the Metro since 2012 by the Esquire, Asia Tatle Dining and Manila’s Best Kept Restaurant Secrets Awards(MBKRS).

One of my favorite is their delicious Bruschetta(roasted eggplant, stracciatella chesse, basil, grana padano) and Salmon Tortrllini(Bacon, Vodka tomato cream sauce) .

They also serve diff pasta’s and salad like:
Black Ink Pappardelle(extra virgin olive oil, anchovies, garlic, zucchini, octopu, clams) - This, you must try!
Insalata(mixed lettuce, aragula, mangoes, Parma ham, blue cheese, balsamic dressing) very delicious salad.
Chicken Milanese(roasted potatoes, mixed lettuce)
Zuppa(tomato soup, mozzarella chesse, quadrucci pasta, basil pesto) tangy but delicious.

Undeniably, Va Benne has been in my list as one of the best Italian restaurant in the metro. In fact, it's on my list of go to place for comfort food as their branch locations are accessible and I can go almost anytime I want and their food is really good.
This time, I had the privilege to try out their business lunch offering. For only 299+, you can order a dish of your choice from their business lunch list and for 499+, you can have an appetizer and one mains. I guarantee that it is so worth it and value for money. I was very satisfied and full. My top pick for the appetizers will be the bruschetta. It was so good, I think the secret to their dishes is their tomato sauce as it's so good to almost all their dish including this bruschetta. My second pick will be their zuppa which is another tomato based dish and is already good for two. For the mains, I'll definitely pick their salmon tortellini or black ink pappardelle. Only the black ink pappardelle is not tomato based on the dishes i recommended here. It's a very simple and mild oil based dish that highlights the seafood ingredients of this pasta dish. Overall, very satisfied and happy with what he had for this lunch.

Conspicuously located at the second floor of Petron Gas Station's retail arcade along EDSA near the Dasmarinas Village gate, Va Bene Pasta Deli is a destination dining haven for those who wish to try out good and simple Italian Dishes. If you're in a hurry and would like to sample their best selling dishes at a price that won't hurt you wallet, try their Business Lunch Set menu available Mondays through Fridays 11am to the late afternoon. You can choose a combination of Appetizer and Main, or with dessert or a choice of Main Dish with a glass of wine. All of the appetizers are a good choice, not one a miss. The Bruschetta was topped with grilled eggplant which gave that faux meaty taste which i really love. It comes in a pair, one to share. The Chicken Milanese was filling and topped with melted cheese, it also comes with a side salad. The chicken was cooked through. Soft and tender. Thank you Chef Massimo for the warm welcome and thank you Pigging Out on Sundays for the invite to this wonderful lunch.

Discover Manila’s best and most loved Italian Resto, Va Bene Pasta Deli by Chef Massimo.

This resto is famous for their fresh, handmade pastas, and authentic Italian food.

Va Bene is located at a gas station along edsa in Makati but I bet you wouldn’t expect a resto this good would exist here right? Neither do I.

The resto is a bit small that it can get easily packed during peak hours. It has a simple, casual and homey vibe to it. But don’t let the resto’s appearance hinder you from dining here because their food surely is a hit!

I visited here for lunch so I tried their Special Business Lunch Promo.

You can choose from these 3 Business Lunch Sets.
- 1 Dish for P299+
- 1 Appetizer + 1 Main Course for P499+
- 1 Dish + 1 Glass of Wine for P499+

For Appetisers, you can choose from these:

Roasted eggplant, stracciatella cheese, basil, and grana padano

Mixed lettuce, arugula, mangoes, parma ham, blue cheese, in balsamic dressing

Tomato Soup, mozzarella cheese, quadrucci pasta, and basil pesto

For the Main Course:

Bolognese, parmesan fondue, and fresh grated parmesan cheese

Salmon Tortellini
Bacon, with vodka tomato cream sauce

Black Ink Pappardelle
Zucchini, octopus, clams, anchovies, garlic drizzled with extra virgin olive oil

Chicken Milanese
Fried Chicken breast fillet, roasted potatoes and mixed lettuce with parmesan cheese in balsamic dressing

My top picks are Bruschetta for appetiser, Chicken Milanese and Gnocchi for Main Course.

If you’re within Makati and you love Italian dishes, why not give Va Bene’s Business lunch set a try. You won’t regret it.

We were invited to try the Weekday Business Lunch Menu of Va Bene. For 399++, you can choose one of 3 appetizers and one of 3 mains. Lucky us to be served all 6 dishes. Drool.

Everything was delicious. You can read it from the other reviews here on Looloo. We all visited on different dates and the consistency in the cooking is commendable.

My favorite would have to be the Gorgonzola POLENTA with fresh mushrooms. This was delicious. The texture was perfect, rich and creamy, the sharpness of the cheese just perfect for the dish.

The CHICKEN MILANESE would have to be my preferred main for the set as the chicken piece is more than enough for a filling lunch, plus it comes with a salad.

On its first week of operation, MOO and I were able to sneak into a table for two as we came in 10 mins before it opened. Imagine the wait after that as this is a very small restaurant. Happy to know that Va Bene is still cooking really good food after all these years.

Thank you for the invitation Ojie D 10084

We just had to try them. I’ve tried truffles in honey, in cheese, infused in olive oil, on ramen, but never shaved truffles. I was very curious as to what they actually tasted like.

I saw Va Bene’s IG with them. Called them for the menu, but they said I can find it in their fb which I didn’t. Sent an email and got an immediate response. Yay.

Came by last Sunday to have lunch with the fam. They have a special truffles menu created by Chef Massimo. Or you can choose to have the truffles on any of their regular menu for 299 / 5 Gram.

Braised octopus thinly sliced capers, olives, arugula, salad, lemon dressing

This was super good. I loved the dressing on the octopus and arugula. It was a light, fresh salad.

Spinach, ham, light tomato cream sauce

I’ve always loved VBs cannelloni. We’ve ordered this many times for family lunches. It’s very filling and the H and I were able to share this.

Not in menu, special order for the little girl. It was a bit wet and didn’t taste like a carbonara. More like a ham Alfredo, but she enjoyed it.

The glass of wine was filled half way. Sulit.

The truffles, sad to say we’re not as delicious to me as when I have them infused in food. If you were to ask me they taste like walnuts. There are different varieties of truffles and this is the most common out there. Maybe other kinds are better? If they drizzled some truffle oil on my food I would’ve enjoyed it more.

It was still a good experience. The food here is still one of my favourites. I love the food here with or without truffles. Service is nothing extraordinary, while it’s not very welcoming they’re not rude or impolite and they get the job done.

A special Truffles menu is available in both BGC & Makati branches until supplies last.

Chef Massimo will be having a Summer Truffles Cooking Class this July.

Va Bene is one of the most talked about restaurants serving Italian dishes in the metro. It's one of those restaurants that don't need instagram-worthy interiors or eye-catching signages to make an impact in the industry.

Last Saturday, we were invited to try their newest business lunch menu. You get to choose an appetizer and a main course from the 3 choices available for only P399+ per person.

I have to admit, I was pretty excited to try Manila's multi-awarded Italian restaurant. I've been hearing a lot of positive feedbacks about Va Bene since I became a foodie, and I can't wait to have one of my own.

| Complimentary Appetizer
The complimentary snack was a great starter for our lunch. I loved the dip, which was made of diced tomatoes, olive oil, some lemon juice and basil. The flavors were simple but delicious.

|Appetizer Choice 1: Salad
The first appetizer is a salad consisting of mixed lettuce, roasted onions, and crispy tomatoes, drizzled with balsamic dressing, and topped with parmesan cheese. I'm beginning to enjoy salads with balsamic dressings, and I loved how Va Bene's had a nice balance of sweet, sour, and bitter.

|Appetizer Choice 2: Polenta
This appetizer is something I am not familiar with. It's a creamy gorgonzola polenta with sauteed mixed mushrooms, lemon, and parsley. It looks like smooth, melted cheese, but its texture is actually grainy. It's great if you enjoy devouring pure, creamy cheese.

|Appetizer Choice 3: Tomato Soup
The soup was thick and made of finely pureed tomatoes. It's topped with mozzarella cheese, basil pesto, and black ink quadrucci, although the tomato was the only dominant taste I was able to get. My friend and I highly loved every sip of this soup.

|Main Course Choice 1: Tortellini Bolognese
The tortellini is a pasta that is similar to a ravioli. This pasta dish is stuffed with bolognese and served on a light parmesan cheese fondue and topped with arugula. I honestly liked this one since the bolognese was perfect, and it combines well with the softer taste of the fondue. If you're looking into having something on the lighter side for lunch, then the tortellini is the main course for you.

|Main Course Choice 2: Chicken Milanese
If you're not feeling like having pasta for lunch, you can try the chicken Milanese. It's fried, breaded chicken topped with tomato-based sauce and parmesan cheese, served with a side of fried potato wedges and a side of salad with balsamic dressing.

|Main Course Choice 3: Blank Ink Linguine
My favorite out of all the main dishes would be the black ink linguine. I am normally impressed by pasta dishes that are rather uncommon, dishes that I wouldn't expect what to taste like before I get a bite. It's black ink linguine with zucchini, garlic, olive oil, chilli flakes, clams, and mussels, and a squeeze of lemon made it even more amazing.

Va Bene's business lunch menu is available every weekdays from 11:30am to 5:30pm. Pick an appetizer and a main course from the choices above for P399+ per person.

I’ve been wanting to try Chef Massimo’s dishes as I’ve heard such great reviews about it. Also, I’ve seen photos on Instagram that were truly appetizing and I was so delighted to finally try and it’s so true… it’s one of the best pasta there is! The place was a bit small with few tables and chairs available. It was also jam-packed during lunch, an indication that they serve amazing food, right? There’s orange couches available to make you feel comfy. I also adore all the wines on the display. Such a best pairing with your Italian food.Currently, Va Bene Pasta Deli offers Business Lunch from Monday’s through Friday’s at 11:30 am – 5:30 pm. You’d get to have an appetizer and main for only 399+

Creamy Gorgonzola Polenta – with Sautéed Mixed Mushrooms, Lemon and Parsley – If you love cheese, this is the best appetizer for you. It was creamy and the mushrooms were savory.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

Mixed Lettuce – with Roasted Onions, Crispy Tomatoes, Balsamic Dressing and Shaved Parmesan Cheese. This is a great start to a meal. Refreshing as it looks. It tasted delicious as well. It was such a clever idea to have the tomatoes fried too to make it real crisp.

Tomato Soup – with Mozzarella Cheese, Basil Pesto, Black Ink Quadrucci – Perfect for this rainy weather. This would be my favorite appetizer out of three. Great that there’s some pesto in there too to have additional taste.

Tortellini Bolognese – Light Parmesan Cheese Fondue, Arugula, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The meat inside was flavorful already. I so love that the pasta was not too thick. It was really fresh! The cheese fondue made it creamier too.

Chicken Milanese – it comes with Fried Potatoes and Mixed Lettuce. The chicken was juicy and soft. Really tasty! It was cooked to perfection. The cheese and tomato sauce made it more flavorful. Fried potatoes were flavored as well with the right saltiness to it.

Black Ink Linguine – it has Zucchini, Garlic, Olive Oil, Chili, Clams, Mussel. The seafood were fresh and I love that it does not have any fishy taste at all. The pasta, again, was cooked al dente! Such a lovely pasta as it looks.

If you’re near Makati, I strongly suggest that you try Va Bene Pasta Deli the soonest. Take advantage of this promo as it surely is a bang for buck!

A true Italian gem of a restaurant is tucked away at a very unassuming gas station near Dasmarinas Village, Makati. At first, I was surprised why the choice of the place, but then again, I found out this was indeed a prime spot as patrons troop to Va Bene Pasta Deli for their food, most specially their freshly made pasta!

Recently, I've had the pleasure of having lunch with fellow foodies at Va Bene and it was like being transported to Italy right there and then! The ambience, the wine bottle display, the authentic Italian ingredients, plus Chef Massimo's presence in the kitchen completed the experience. We had the Business Lunch - a combination of appetizer and main course for just P399+, served Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 5:30pm.

My favorite appetizer was the tomato soup. Filling, warms the tummy and is definitely not your ordinary tomato soup. This one is filled with smooth basil pesto, topped with mozzarella plus a surprise of black ink quadrucci. Quadrucci is a form of egg pasta cut in squares, giving the soup a bit of heft. The basil pesto, when mixed with the soup gives the soup decadence.

There was also a creamy gorgonzola polenta with a huge helping of sauteed mushrooms on top. The polenta was rich and smooth, the cheese not too overbearing and paired well with the mushrooms. A perfect foil to any tasty pasta dish on the menu.

For a fresh and healthy start, you can also try their salad of mixed lettuce with crispy fried tomatoes dressed in lovely balsamic dressing. This made me think of how to best enjoy my tomatoes in the future. They were still warm and fresh even when fried with a little panko crumbs. The green of the lettuce, the red of the tomatoes and the white of the shaved parmesan cheese complete the Italian colours on your plate.

For the main course, you can choose from 3 options: Tortellini Bolognese, Chicken Milanese or their Black Ink Linguine.

The Tortellini Bolognese proved to be like art on a plate. Those tiny belly-button shaped pasta circle your plate in a light parmesan cheese fondue. They are then topped with arugula and dressed in EVO. Simple but an elegant dish. Each bite of the tortellini proved to be Italian pasta at its finest. My plate looks like a painting!

Another pasta dish worth mentioning is the Black ink linguine with clams, mussels and sliced zucchini. This was drenched in the freshest seafood broth I have tasted. The black ink linguine in itself was al dente, and tasted of the sea. Perfect for seafood pasta lovers out there who would love to try something simple yet adventurous.

The Chicken Milanese is a meal in itself, with a huge helping of chicken fried in breadcrumbs plus a side of fried potatoes and mixed lettuce salad. The chicken was tender, with a little tomato sauce and cheese on top, a savory and satisfying feast indeed.

Chef Massimo Veroni's Business Lunch offerings are worth a try. They're bang for your buck and also a-plus for their huge servings as well. Don't forget to have a glass of wine to pair with these amazing dishes. This was indeed a little trip to Italy in the heart of the metro!

We were given privilege to try Va Bene Business Lunch last week. This is so much recommendable because for only 399+ (plus service charge), you could enjoy authentic Italian meal! You get to choose one starter (three choices) and one main course (three choices)

Im giving you my perfect pairing recommendation, but you can always swap choices.

Appetizer: Tomato Soup
This moderately tangy (i have tasted more tangy ones) got mozzarella cheese basil pesto and black ink quadrucci. Quadrucci is a simple square pasta (and the most easiest to make)

Main: Chicken Milanese
You got a nicely cooked chicken breast with a little cheese on top. There’s mixed lettuce and fried potato wedges. The chicken was not perfectly moist, it was just right to go with the salad.

Appetizer: Salad
Mixed lettuce, roasted onions, balsamic vinegar dressing, and parmesan cheese. What made this really good is the crispy tomatoes— these are deep fried tomatoes that gives the salad that tangy taste! See the breaded base on the picture? That’s the deep fried tomatoes!

Main: Seafood Pasta
Black ink Linguini, zucchini, garlic, olive oil, chili, clams, and mussels. It’s a very clean seafood taste, so the lemon should really be squeezed in it. For me i think i’ll add parmesan cheese to add to the taste.

Appetizer: Creamy Gorgonzola Polenta
Sautéed mixed mushrooms with parsley. I did not taste lemon in it. Really good! If you don’t like eating gorgonzola, I’m sure you’ll learn eating it after you try this. For me this is their best appetizer from the choices.

Main: Tortellini Bolognese
I love the light parmesan cheese fondue! It also has arugula for that earthy taste, and extra virgin olive oil. The tortellini thickness was just right. The bolognese has that sweet tomato flavor.

The place is a little small. It can accommodate about 20 pax. There’s a lot of pay parking since it’s at the petron station.
The stay was also memorable because of the Italian songs playing in the back ground. Add this to your top list if you want an authentic Italian experience.

PS. You will also live their default appetizer while you wait for your order.

I was invited for lunch at Va Bene Pasta Deli at Dasmarinas, Makati branch. The place is not that big compare to BGC branch, though it can accommodate at least 20 pax. Va Bene is a very casual Italian restaurant where you want to spend your business lunch or you just want to stop-over before heading home.

During our lunch, we had bruschettas, pastas and desserts:

BRUSCHETTA - 1 Flavor for Php288.00 (Normale) / 2 Flavors for Php488.00 (Grande) - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5
127837Milanese- olive oil, cheese mousse, salami milano, arugula, shaved parmesan, balsamic reduction
127837Piemontese - olive oil, mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese, parma ham and tuna sauce
127837Piccante - olive oil, garlic, cheese mousse, polpette ragu and chili oil
127837Puzzona - olive oil, gorgozola, mortadella and onion
127837Carbonara - olive oil, bacon, cheese sauce, sunny side up egg, parmesan cheese
127837Cacciatora - olive oil, garlic, braised chicken cacciatora and green olives

“All the bruschettas were good and tasty but I like the carbonara flavor, the egg enhances the flavor and add creaminess to the bread.”

127837Mango Panna Cotta - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

“It would be better if they can find a sweet ripe mango. It will blends well with the panna cotta.”

Overall, it was a superb lunch with superb chef Maximo serving us generously. Thank you for having us Va Bene Pasta Deli and Thank you Ojie for the invite.

We had a remarkable visit at Va Bene Pasta Deli. Well known for its authentic Italian cuisine, Chef Massimo's made from scratch dishes surely hits the spot.

We visited the branch located at Dasmarinas village Makati where it is quite laid back in style, and the casual vibe feels like home despite seeing a lot of upper class people and foreigners dining at the resto.

During our visit, they had the Bruschetta Promotion where you can choose from the 2 bruschetta sizes:
Normale 25cm (with 1 flavor) 288Php
Grande 60cm (with 2 flavors) 488Php

Normally, the grande would only have 2 flavors in it but you can ask if they could possibly make 3 flavors to fit in. The flavors you can choose from are as follows:

*Milanese- olive oil, cheese mousse, salami milano, arugula, shaved parmesan, balsamic reduction
*Piemontese- olive oil, mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese, parma ham and tuna sauce
*Piccante- olive oil, garlic, cheese mousse, polpette ragu and chili oil
*Puzzona- olive oil, gorgozola, mortadella and onion
*Carbonara- olive oil, bacon, cheese sauce, sunny side up egg, parmesan cheese
*Cacciatora- olive oil, garlic, braised chicken cacciatora and green olives

My favorites would have been the Carbonara and Piemontese. Bruschettas can be a little heavy so the serving size is always good for sharing.

We also had the best seller pasta called Organic Eggs Tagliatelle- it consists of portabello mushrooms white wine cream sauce and truffle oil. Now I know why it is a crowd favorite! The pasta is al dente and it was actually a little bit thick but the creamy sauce coats and gives enough flavor to the entire dish. Loved the truflle aroma. Another must try pasta is the Black Ink Taglioni. It has a mixed seafood toppings, marinara sauce and light tomato cream sauce. Colorful and beautifully plated, the sauce is spot on and really filling.

The desserts were also outstanding. We were served 2 dishes. One is the Profiteroles A La Milena - caramelized walnuts, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and the other one is Mango Panna Cotta. Both were just lovely and satisfying.

Overall, we had a great time. Very commendable dishes and the staff were friendly. Kudos!

Received an invitation from Chef Massimo Veronesi to visit his restaurant and try their Business Lunch offering.

It was an exciting prospect as I have heard a lot of good things about Va Bene Pasta Deli but have not found the time to drop in for a visit.

Yesterday at 1130, hubby and I found ourselves in a gasoline station along Edsa scouring the 2nd floor building for Va Bene.

I loved that the location was nondescript almost hole-in-the wall. There was no fancy ambiance to distract you . There were no bells and whistles so to speak. There was no gimmickry.. One can solely focus on the food.

one appetizer + one main = P399 +

The greens were crisp. There was romaine and arugula. The tomatoes were dipped in batter and deep fried which provided the texture to the whole dish. The reduced balsamic dressing was sweet and rich.

"Polenta is a dish of boiled cornmeal that was made
from other grains"- Wikipedia

It does not sound appetizing especially for polenta "virgins" such as myself and the hubby. But when the dish was served, the first things that hit us were its delectable aroma from the gorgonzola, the beautiful mushrooms ( shrooms fiends here) and the simple yet beautiful presentation.

I was drooling and I heard my stomach growl in response to the simultaneous attack on all senses. But I had to take the perfect photo first before we give in to our food lust huhuhu

A few minutes later, we had our first mouthful.

So this was polenta. It was thick with a little texture. It was hot. It married well with the blue-veined goddess of cheese, Gorgonzola . The result was a scrumptious experience the hubby and I are not likely to forget

We spooned the light gold liquid with pieces of mushrooms in our mouth , savoring its richness and flavor. Pretty soon the plate was wiped clean. Mother will be proud.

Hubby kept saying it was his favorite. I had to remind him we were only on our second option for the appetizer. There were 4 more items to taste haha

"Quadrucci ? Basically tagliagliatelli cut crosswise into little squares hence the name" -

Tomato was sweet and fruity , a result of simmering several hours. I tasted the basil pesto which gave the soup a nutty flavor. The bits of mozzarella provided the creamy component. The Squid Ink Quadrucci gave the soup the taste of the ocean. I am suddenly craving for grilled cheese sandwich ....

Imagine 5 fat, chunky, meaty pockets of al dente pasta swimming in a pool of parmesan cheese.

First bite...

If this is a dream, please do not wake me up yet.

I looked up at the hubby and right at that moment, I knew he forgot I was there hahaha. He was lost in the sensation of the cheese heaven that was in his mouth vis a vis the flavor and texture of that succulent tortellini with bolognese, just as I was,

I think my eyes rolled at the back of my head for a few brief seconds there. Now this is what you call "foodgasmic"

The dish was pretty straightforward. I loved the taste of the sea thanks to the squid ink linguine which was perfectly al dente. I would have loved more clams and mussels which tasted really fresh. The kick from the chili was a delightful surprise.

Although this 3rd option paled in comparison to the two preceding dishes, it was also delicious albeit simple. It appealed to this foodie-on-a-perennial-diet me. . It satisfied my vegetable-protein-carb requirement for the day quite nicely.

* Freshly made pasta

* Well curated ingredients

* Authentic Italian fare created by a famous Chef

* reasonable portions not degustation

* competitive pricing

Given the above , Va Bene Pasta Deli's BUSINESS LUNCH is indeed value for money.

For first-time visitors to the restaurant such as myself and the hubby, Va Bene's Business Lunch was a preview almost like an "amuse bouche" if you will , offering a brief glimpse to the gastronomic vista that Va Bene has in its roster which we can not wait to explore

It goes without saying that we shall be regular patrons from now on.

I can still vividly remember 6 years ago, this Va Bene branch in Petron EDSA Makati station was packed on my very first visit. My friends and I patiently waited for our turn outside. The place is relatively small, and they were able to welcome then twice its usual capacity. Last Friday, on Chef Massimo’s invitation, this humble Italian deli was still busy with patrons. I expected that.

You simply cannot live without authentic Italian cuisine from the owner and executive chef, Chef Massimo Veronesi. Chef personally accommodated me and my girlfriend, Mia all night with his usual warm and joyful service.

We got to indulge then his version of cheese and salami buffet. It had a stretch of familiar cheeses and cold cuts. Some of the spread was new to me like the Mushrooms Salad (shitake, button mushrooms with olives and caramelized onions) and Grana Padano 18 months Italian cheese. All of these we had, as much our tummy’s desire on the house.

Our table also got an appetizing plate of Organic Eggs Tagliatelle. It had generous amounts of portobello mushrooms in white wine cream sauce and loads of truffle oil. Mia enjoyed this one, even brought it home, had it for breakfast the following day. For dessert, we settled for Sweet Mia, a simple yet delectable cup of vanilla ice cream, organic honey, extra virgin oil and almond slices.

Anyway, Chef Massimo got something new for you this love month! So call up your date soon. If you avail any of three of the cheeses below, you get an unlimited platter for only Php 390+, choose 6, for Php 620+! These will be served nicely on a chopping wooden board.

Grana Padano 18 months(cow milk, harmonious dry, intense with traces of grass)

Gorgonzola 12 months (cow milk with buttery taste)

Pecorino Romano (Lazio Sardinia sheep’s milk, intense flavor)

Fontina Mountain Cheese (Piedmont region cow milk, semi-soft, creamy and light aroma)

Emmental (yellow, medium hard)

Gouda (cow milk from the Netherlands, mild yellow)

Have you been to this famous spot in Makati? When many restaurants open here and there, Va Bene still remains one of my go to places for authentic Italian. They currently have three branches, the two others are in Central Square, BGC and Circuit Makati.

My date took me for dinner in a gas station last night. Hehe yes! Its across Pasay Road @ Va Bene Pasta Deli.

The place has lots of my favorite olives and capers, as well as wine decorated all over the place. I believed their selling these items. The place has simple dining area. Heard and read lots of good reviews, and I was excited while waiting for our orders. Btw, my date call the shots128522

We had:

Polipo- braised octupus thinly sliced, dried tomatoes, arugula, amd lemon dressing. First timer for this thinly sliced octopus and enjoyed it with my favorite arugula.

Nonna Gnocchi -Italian sausage, portobello mushrooms, prawns, taleggio cheese. Did my research of what is Gnocchi. Its a soft dough made of ordinary flour or potatoes, with eggs & cheese. These are often cut into small bite size and usually eaten as replacement to pasta.... hmmm we had pasta too128540

Organic Eggs Tagliatelle-portobello mushrooms, white wine cream sauce, truffle oil. - Fettuccine is soft. I rarely enjoy white sauce pasta, the truffle oil is so glorious.

Verdict: a nice place to enjoy italian dishes. Everything we had last night is delicious and has superb flavors. Price is reasonable for quality of dishes.
