Just arrived here and wanted to share what we had for lunch at the Veranda of Baguio Country Club! We always come here for a quick getaway from busy Manila. Their food is simple but well made!

In this photo: grilled salmon fillet, spaghetti bolognese & clubhouse sandwich

The Veranda was a last minute decision cos Hamada's closed for renovation. We availed their salad + main course buffet. Their salad buffet is filling enough cos it includes the salad bar, sushi/sashimi, soup, breads and dessert but some of us were very hungry hence the availing of the main course. My favorite from the salad bar are waldorf salad and the cheese platter with grapes. Just make sure you get the grapes once you see it cos it runs out fast and they do not refill right away. The sushi and sashimi tasted fresh and the server assigned in that station is very friendly. The soup for that day was carrot and ginger soup which tasted bland. The main course had the usual meat selection - turkey (they do not have cranberry sauce to go with it though), shrimp (for tempura and grilling) chicken, beef, and pork. They have roasted angus beef and the cutler assigned is really generous. She gives out thick slices to almost everyone. Ask them also to grill it a bit so that its flavor will be tasted more. If you also availed the main course buffet, ask for some champagne! It's included :)

I wouldn't mind saying my last good byes while downing a soft moist chocolate cake with a molten chocolate center topped with dark chocolate ice cream, premium chocolate bars and drizzled with thick chocolate cream. Did you notice I mentioned chocolate 5 times?! Bitter sweet flavor, hot and cold sensations, soft textures and mouth watering pleasure multiplied 5 times!!! The Veranda at Baguio Country Club was not kidding with their version of Death by Chocolate!!! The mindset when you have this is FORGET CALORIES, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! Best way to go, don't you think?! #MrSweetToothSoHappy 128525128525128525

Went here at August 2015 and was expecting exemplary experience because of the price. Unfortunately, BCC was under rennovation that time. The Veranda Restaurant's ambiance was greatly affected by the construction. Restaurant staff was also a bit disorganized. Nevertheless, they serve great Japanese dishes and salads! 128513 I really like their sashimi, although they were served a little bit colder than usual. They have a steak carving station as well. The steak was soft and very easy to chew, but a bit lacking on flavor. Dessert is nothing exceptional-- fruit platter, some cakes, creme brulee, etc.

The Veranda never disappoints for afternoon snacks/merienda. Serving time may take awhile but then I guess the quality of the food compensates for that.

Another thing to commend is the fact that you will never see The Veranda left unattended by managers, servers, and sometimes chefs. There's always someone there ready to serve you and attend to your special requests.

Moving on...

So my cousins and sister were ready to go horseback riding after some sightseeing in the morning. I, on the other hand, decided to ditch the horseback riding and feast with the rest of my family members in the club. I was really hungry! As in really!!! And so I decided to get a Bacon Cheeseburger and it was amazing! Not as juicy as I thought it would be but it satisfied my hunger. The potato wedges on the side were okay, I found it a little under-seasoned, good thing there was the ever reliable ketchup! Hehe

I also got to have some strawberries with cream and powdered sugar on the side. Heaven! I think BCC has the freshest and prettiest strawberries in Baguio. Plus they were all the same sizes and just perfect! 128076

I can't wait to be back here again soon! 9786

The ambiance & weather is incomparable ... Guess we're here in Baguio simply for the quiet tranquility away from the bustling craziness of the metro ... Time pass slowly in the peaceful sanctuary ... Food & pastry ... All pleasurable to the palate ... Can't help smiling every minute specially spent with great company

Michangelo white almond chocolate cake & truffle chocolate mousse cake (forgot the exact name ) both guilty pleasures we indulged in yesterday x the terrible mojito coffee something ( stay away from this weird leafy taste , too sweet & bitter coffee concoction)

Breakfast in bed 128525 I wish I can have room service everyday. HAHA.

128077 pandesal with butter and jam - love their crusty but soft pandesal! Got a side order of scrambled eggs to go with the bread.127859127838

128077 dollar banana pancakes with bacon - a stack of twelve mini banana pancakes served with a side of uber crispy bacon. Bet you cannot resist that.

128077 brewed coffee - good, strong coffee! 9749

128077 daing na bangus - my sister's fave. For less than P300, you'll enjoy a hearty serving of daing na bangus, garlic rice, two eggs, achara, coffee/ milk and chilled juice or fresh fruits.

128077 Baguio Longganisa - my cousin loved the garlicky longganisa paired with eggs, garlic rice and brewed coffee. A serving is more than enough to make you full.

Service was superb! They deliver food on time. They'll also call to check if you need anything else 128522

Who doesn't love buffets right? Especially if it's a breakfast buffet. I used to super get excited about the breakfast buffet in the Veranda, but it's getting old. Nothing new and exciting in the buffet, except for the baked bacon! Who knew bacon could taste so much better when baked not deep fried! 128525 oh and I have to point out the unlimited supply of banana bread slices you can get in the buffet. 10084️ but I think that's the highlight na of the buffet, the bacon, banana bread, and the danggit (according to the oldies).

If you're going to have buffet breakfast here, especially when it's during a long weekend or holiday, make sure to come early, because agawan sa tables. I don't want to point fingers, but I think it's partly the management's fault because of their lack of organization when there's an influx of people, you can't put all the blame on them tho because some members don't know how to wait, expect to be seated right away, and end up hogging an already reserved table, which leads back to the management who can't or choose not to do anything about situations like that. Tsk tsk.

A must go to in Baguio of course is the country club. I decided to have breakfast there while mom got their famous raisin bread as pasalubong.

I just had their pancake with a side of bacon. The bacon was crisp but cold. The pancake warm and soft but crumbly with maple syrup and melted butter.

Nothing beats dining at the Verandah with your friends and family, with the backdrop of the golf course providing the solace and comfort while you enjoy their international and Japanese buffet. Tranquil spaces and sumptuous selections on display, not to mention the decadent desserts.

Only for members on Saturday dinner...P950 with steak all u can? Seriously ... Wow!!

Caesar salad is the best ever... Better than most I've tried in Manila .

Breadsticks from the bread spread was my fave ... It's not crunchy or hard like typical..It's like a chewy cheese croissant stick ... Flaky and really so good

Cured hams & cheese selections are great for wine pairings .. Love their homemade cheese with bits of fresh mince garlic!!

Steak carving with ur doneness preference. I like mine medium rare ... Perfect juicy succulent pink beef ... Yum

Mash potatoes, veg gratin ( baked fresh crips veggies drown with creamy cheese), pork medallion, lamb curry is so soft & none gamey, chicken breast , and great dessert & many more!!!

Plus 2 bottles of great wine... Great climate, the amazing smell of the pines...great company , great catching up....Cheers to good life....thanks to J&C for everything !!!127863127863

My absolute favorite place to dine in BCC!128522

Essentially, this is the al fresco equivalent of The Cotterman Room... The menu is the same... But, what sets it apart is the beautiful view of the golf course! It's such a great sight to wake up to!9728️ I always feel sunny when dining here!

This place serves up a buffet breakfast, with an extensive selection that can suit anybody's brekkie craving! No a la carte dining during breakfast... So if you wake up with a big appetite, head on over here for the buffet! They have super crispy bacon and great pancakes!128079

What a view to wake up to, right?128522
