Weekend it is. Are you looking for a VERY AFFORDABLE buffet restaurant at tagaytay that caters REAL filipino dishes. Verdiview offers this! Its dining area can accomodate around 100 pax. They utilize simple decorated round tables and classy steel chairs.
Enjoy upto 15 deliciously cooked filipino dishes from various common proteins (beef, pork, chicken and seafood)! Ed, its operations manager told me that they change their menu every week so don't hesitate to come back everyweek.
What i enjoyed here is there seafood! During my visit, i really liked their
128204adobong pusit which is really tender--and not gummy at all--and has that clean squid taste. I especially like  the sweet soy taste it has.
128204Paksiw na bangus
If you are lucky enough to spot this old style paksiw, grab all you can eat! Ed told me the old style of cooking the paksiw is covering your protein with the banana leaf and allow the vinegar and all the other ingredients to cook it in super low fire. Man! The fat goodness of the bangus really is delicious! Personally, i like this cause the bones are edible! As in no worry of getting choked or the getting hassled deboning the fish! Just gobble it! 128514128514
They also do not ran out of piping hot soup such as the bulalo and sinigang in this place. Unfortunately, i did not try this since i'm not fund of clear soups. 9996128568

Would it be complete without desserts? I was surprised of how complete their filipino desserts are! From ube to sapin-sapin...
128204sweet macapuno (really find this amazing i had to carry some upon leaving the place)
This is actually macapuno coated in muscovado or brown sugar. Not as sweet as a refined sugar taste. Really liked those sesame seeds too!

So what about eat all you can's? About the 'no left over' rules... Verdiview has this php100 fee thing.. But as for Ed, it's just simply a reminder not to get beyond what you can consume. Ed told me it's just a strategy to encourage people to be disciplined. Afterall, verdiview has not really charged any of their customers of left overs. Ed also told me that one of the highest wastes in hotel and restaurants came from food, so let's be wise in eating as well.

If you want to enjoy filipino food, dont hesitate to visit if you are nearby. Weekend php345 buffet!!
