A couple of Saturdays ago I had the good fortune of receiving an invite from my Aunt / Doctor talk about health and wellness through aromatherapy, since she is conducting it in a casual talk over merienda at Via Mare's Oyster Bar in Greenbelt, i said yes! She had the entire 2nd floor reserved. While conducting the talk, all attendees were served Via Mare's staples. The palabok, bibingka and Pandesal with butter and quesong puti. The palabok is packed with tinapa, pork and a couple of shrimps. It paired well with the pandesal. The butter absored by the pandesal added sweetness to the firm quesong puti. The bibingka was served warm, galapong batter cooked just right, the salted egg was enough to add that homey warmth to the dessert. No wonder the Titas of Manila gives their seal of approval! Recommended.

Had via mare oyster bar for delivery via food panda the other day. Elaine O won an IG contest c/o TheFoodieStatipn last December so we decided to try out FoodPanda. Amazingly the App was good and very easy to use. Their live chat supporr was also very helpful.

For the food we got a the chicken inasal skewer and adobong pusit. The Inasal was very delicious. This is the kind of inasal that I love the dry version compared to the other which are saucy. I love that their version is packed with that smokey delicious inasal flavor. The adobong pusit was also good. A baby squid like in size. I love the sauce which was just perfect not too salty.

Overall love the experience and the hassle free feel. Good job! 128523128076

Via Mare Oyster Bar holds the record for having the WORST sisig ever. It looks and tastes like fermented liver spread. The kare kare looked unappetizing and crispy squid tentacles with chili sauce was boring.

Avoid these three dishes at all cost!

I didn't know that Oyster Bar is by Via Mare until we went and eat here last night. I ordered the tortang alimasag with rice and fried lumpia for PhP195. Yup, I've been craving for the fried lumpia nowadays. Ambience is superb.

While waiting for the 6pm mass last tuesday, we first stayed here and had an order of their bestselling Bibingka. Freshly made so you're sure to get and enjoy a fresh and hot piece of bibingka! I'm not a fan of bibingka but I do eat it once in a while. Serving size was already good for sharing as we had a hard time finishing one. It was fluffy and moist -- not the heavy type na nakakaumay! And the cheese and salted egg toppings were very generous! Sarap!!! 128077🏼 Service was okay and the place looked old and sad. 128563

Pinoy food at its best! Last Sunday, we dine at Via Mare. Well this is the place to be with a balikbayan friend who enjoyed everything & claims that this is the best resto during his visit. Well its a relaxing dinner. Less crowded and fast service.

We enjoyed the sinigang , oysters and crispy liempo with bagoong. For dessert, of course we have puto bungbung & bibingka. Its so good with coffee, which i also had

Oysters are a little salty on the side but all is good! Pasta and bacon salad was much better than average. Good to try if you have good cravings for oyster!

This is one of our all time favorite restaurants.
My wife likes their Ensaladang Bagnet so much while my favorite here is the Crispy Tapa.
Our favorite oyster is the Boursin (cheese, perfect with hot sauce!) and years ago we could finish two orders :)
Their Puto Bumbong is legendary, best eaten with coffee!

I usually order their Arroz Caldo or Corned Beef with Rice but this time I tried their Chicken Inasal for the first time and I liked it. Tender and juicy chicken! And as usual I had Palitaw for dessert 10084️ I just didn't like the slow service 128532

I expected to have them bigger and full - but hey at least they are served cold, clean, and no smell... you know it's good and fresh!

I remember liking palitaw from via mare because they served it huge and fancy... now it's small and plain, just like our home-cooked one.. still a palitaw fan...

We usually eat here during Christmas season when I was younger because they were also known for having great "puto bumbong" (did I spell it right? Hehe) and bibingka! 128539128539128539

I thought this resto offers a foreign cuisine (based on its name 128517) but it's actually a Filipino restaurant. 128522

I ordered their tortang alimango! If it's your first time here, try this one. Im sure you'll love it! It's served with the fried lumpia, also one of the best! I tried to get mom's but she was so damot. 128584

Prices are reasonable but you may find their service a little bit slow. However, they are very attentive to your needs so you'll never have to call them twice for anything. 128586

I really love their oysters with cheese. Yumm! And despite the fact that it's "for sharing", it's sooo good that one person should get a whole plate. I also had their halo halo and it was delicious! Here's a tip: you can ask them to split your food. That means more food to taste for everyone. Their halo halo is big (for me) so when we split it, the size was just perfect. :)
