Went here for pinoy desserts and we were not disappointed! Ordered mais con hielo, puto maya (sticky rice with mango), palitaw, and puto bung-bong. So yummy! I love the mango especially. The mais con hielo is a bit small for me though. 128517 Palitaw ftw! Niyog on the puto bung-bong tasted so fresh. I will definitely keep coming back here whenever I crave for good old pinoy food.

Kakanin for dessert! Yes, we know its too much but can't help it. We settled at Via Mare.. The home of my favorite Bibingka. For a change, we ordered their "kakanin". We had puto bong bong, puto maya and palitaw. Its all good and I enjoyed it with my cup of coffee 10084

Via Mare is a place where you can go for sudden filipino craving.

We ordered tortang alimasag and talong (sorry we were craving for torta!). We also ordered arroz caldo for my son. The food was okay. I do hope we ordered the ensaladang bagnet. We also ordered puto bumbong. Sarap pa din. However, it was a bit dark inside and bit outdated. Maybe they should renovate.

Had a wonderful dinner with L here kanina .
We shared fresh lumpia ubod , the oysters sampler ( 5 different ways of cooking oysters ) and puto and dinuguan .

The lumpia , very well made w the sauce nuts and crushed garlic served separately just like the old days . Sarap!

Oysters, juicy and plump , cooked several ways with different flavors ... Though i sort of missed the oysters rockefeller... Maybe L ate them hehe

And the surprise of the evening , the dinuguan and puto . The best dinuguan I've tasted in a restaurant , bar none .
We had to order additional puto .

PS I'm looking for Cafe via mare shangrila branch and i can't find it! Is this the right place? :(

I have this recent addiction- churros! I'm going around eating churros wherever there's churros and this one from via mare has got to be the the worst one so far! I'm here last week, i got an order too last week and it was bad. And now this week, I'm meeting someone again here, i wanna give it a second chance. Man, wish i didn't! Nothing changed. I was hoping the first time was just a bad batch but no, their churros tastes exactly the same, burnt, oily and just dark. Like they used the oil a few times already. Look at that! Doesnt look golden brown to me! Also the chocolate, it's consistency is close to a milo drink or something. Isn't this suppose to be thick and creamy??

Also, this shangrila branch here has very bad airconditioning. I was here last week and aircon problem is still the same. Im sure this is suppose to be fixed ASAP. Or do they plan to fix it pa kaya? Or what.

Via Mare is one of the places where you know all kinds of people of all ages would enjoy. They cater to all the needs of the family when it comes to Filipino food. 128077

I had daing na bangus 128031 for early dinner and I was really satisfied with it. Servings and the taste was excellent. We also had their special bibingka and palitaw. Loved everything and my lola was also very pleased with the food. I also ordered their green mango shake which was super sour but it was a refreshing kind of sour and hints of sweetness.

Minus one star because of the inattentive waiters, we were seated outside and we had to wave our hands in the air (like we just don't care) to get their attention.

Adios! 128111

Last night we agreed to eat here after Sunday mass, since our Minion (cute princess type Tzu) is with us, prior to reservation I ask them to prepared table for 5pax outside the resto. We ordered Oyster, palabok, crispy binagoongan, kare-kare, pako salad, crispy tilapia, tortang alimasag, bibingka and puto bungbong.
Kare-kare is delicious not too creamy unlike famous kare-kare resto and we love it that way.
Crispy binagoongan - the crispy liempo is 128077but I don't like the pair vegetable, ampalaya is too mapait for our taste.
Oyster Rockefeller is also 128077 but Zensho still holding the best baked Oyster 128149128149128149
Palabok - is ordinary, I came from Malabon City and our city make the best palabok aka pansit Malabon.
Crispy Tilapia - yummy crunchy and fresh.
Tortang Alimasog -is good also, back the memory of my departed nanay, she cook the best tortang alimasag.
Pako Salad - fresh but the vinegar they used is so maasim ( hilaw sa suka) in Obando Bulacan where pako salad ( fern) is one of there delicacy they boiled the vinegar first to reduce acidity and perfect for salad.
Bibingka - masarap siya but still like ferinos.
Puto Bungbong - delicious 128079

Liked the ensaladang bagnet and kare-kare. My favorites though are the puto bumbong and bibingka. Classic!

I go here not for the oysters but for their puto bumbong. It's the best ever. Get it with cheddar cheese and fresh calamansi juice.

Their service is bad though, especially when you're dining al fresco.

my mom has been a fan of via mare since its early days at the landmark. she giggles at the prospect of merienda. we did better, we did lunch. ensaladang pako, chicken and pork adobo, inasal na manok, pinais na alimasag, pancit luglog, bibingka and halo-halo shooters. the food's okay and the price is fair but it lacks that little something extra that makes you crave a repeat. we don't need to be swept off our feet. an easy smile will do.

Very good service. Food was delicious.
I ate here with my mother. We had Endaladang Bagnet and Pancit Molo.

The ensaladang bagnet was the perfect balance of flavors. You would think that bitter and salty taste would be horrible, but it was the other way around. They complemented each other perfectly.
The pancit molo was a good soup especially for a cold rainy day.

One if the oldest restaurant chain in Metro Manila. Enjoyed my Sunday lunch at Via Mare Shangrila Plaza complete with live music. Food is great. Notices that majority of customers are on the older bracket.

I love this place for the delicious Oysters Rockefeller - fat, succulent oysters sharing their shell with bacon, spinach and cheese, all on a bed of rock salt - and their nice Pansit Luglug :3 Ambience: Dark wood, glass and carpet add to the experience of being in an Oyster Oasis in the city:") Oyster quality varies maybe per visit and across branches however, but I've only ever had only one experience when they were skinny and kind of limp (at Greenbelt).

I, most of the time, order the Crispy Binagoongan or the Tortang Alimasag. I love how special they make it even though these are just ordinary Filipino dishes. Will forever be a fan! 10084
