The food is good, as always. I really want to highlight the service at this branch because they were very attentive and fast.

BUFFET!!!! 128525

Team4 had a lunch at the nearest buffet restau from our office, Vikings, SM Jazz Makati.

I believe it was one of the smallest branch of Vikings but of course I still enjoyed its wide selection of foods.

I wasnt able to capture everything I had on my stomach since I was too hungry 128514

Loved the ambience and cute interior decorations.

Celebrated a surprise despidida for a friend here. We had a dinner reservation at around 6-630 PM. Since i was already at the area early around 5:30 that time, i already went in. I realise arriving 5:30 which is the start of dinner time here has an advantage:

1. You can have some light snack while waiting - salad, cold cuts, bread, etc.
2. Not so many people yet at the buffet area.
3. Also, the dishes were still fresh since it was just served.

We got completed around 7-730 PM, that's when I started with the heavier dishes. It was like i had snack and dinner. It felt more 'sulit' eating this time as i wasn't in a hurry.

This is my 2nd time in this branch, and I was the one who recommended it to my family. 128584 Because I really enjoyed my first visit, but this time I did not. Maybe they are better on weekdays rather than weekends and special days 🙃

We celebrated Father's day here, They started strong when they opened, since we were the first ones to come in but after 30 minutes of full house I noticed their struggle.

Struggle in refilling the food
Struggle in attending to guest concerns
Struggle in providing excellent customer service. (Specially the steak station, where the guy assigned looks exhausted and not welcoming). I noticed it because I am a steak hoarder kinda guy.

Well the Dining manager is courteous enough to go around the tables to get feedback so I guess they'll improve their operations.

Food was okay, 128077128513

Celebrated my new godchild's baptism @ Vikings in SM Jazz yesterday. The place is closer to the look of NIU in SM Aura.

Loving the ambiance. Classy look especially the grandeur of its colorful chandelier. Everthing is so pleasing to the eyes. The event is situated in a function area (estimated capacity of more than 50 pax)

There is a wide variety of dishes: Filipino, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, And Korean. All of my usual favorites are present: salmon & tuna sashimi, hakaw, salads, steaks, oysters, shrimps, & different maki.

Wide variety of drinks: coffee, draft beers, tea, milk tea, sago't gulaman. I enjoyed the ice blended milo 10084

Desserts are my finale. I had one scoop of each: green tea and coffee and added sprinkle. Also, coffee jelly.. And I'm done.

Location is not that crowded, despite its lunchtime (as compared with their Megamall branch). All time favorite dishes are present and ambiance is noteworthy.

Went here tonight to celebrate mothers day and apparently they are implementing 2 batches: 5-7pm and 8-10pm *im not sure if this is only for tonight*, having dinner at 5pm is something foreign at least to me but we grab the 1st batch since we dont want to be full at a late 10pm, good thing my brother was there early to confirm our reservation *they will give the reservations away to walk ins by 5:15pm, since their 1st batch reservation is already full. We arrive at around 5:30 to 6pm and i was surprised that there were lots of empty tables, it was half the usual crowd of a friday night. Err, what happen to the full reservation? Notice the crowd was abit rowdy at food area tonight, very different from the usual crowd but i wont delve into that. 128528

What really pissed me off was when i was getting something at the dessert section and one of their personnal was loading plates beneath the area, so its either i get past him quickly or wait for him to unload what he was holding on, my action was the former, but after which i felt a hard push of his shoulder at my lower back, so the effect of that push was the dessert on my plate brushes off on the hair of the lady on my front 128544 And that was it, i knew i cant let this situation pass, i look at that personnel and he was avoiding my eye contact for several seconds and continue on what he was doing as if nothing happened, so i told him "bakit mo ako tinulak?" And thats wherein the comical sorry with a smirk comes in. Ive been in situation wherein pushing was part of the game like riding an mrt, culture of a country or even sports so i knew what an "accidental" push vs intentional push feels like, and i surely felt that force on my lumbar area. I then, ask for his name, he replied "bakit ba sir", so i guess he knew what was coming. Had to escalate this situation to the manager, and she was very apologetic, but i will definitely write a letter to vikings to follow up on this matter. 128544

Now going back, they will literally close the lights at the buffet area at 7pm so naturally i have to go get some ice cream but i was told that "sir last na yan ah", hmmm so was i suppose to feel thankful that i was given a last scoop of ice cream?? 128533 and by the way, while scooping for the ice cream, the hands are literally touching the ice cream 128547.

So i guess, it was not a good one tonight coz i literally stepped on a puto bb on my way out of the resto 128514. Oh man.

Just want to reiterate my past reviews here, this is my favorite vikings branch among all, but if i could rate 0 stars for tonight i probably would. But then its a 1 star and its literally hate 128544, for my 200+ reviews, this might be the 2nd or 3rd resto that i gave a 1.

Random notes:
1. Plates needs to be clean well, can see smudges on some.
2. If you are in a big group where some individuals would be late for more than 30mins afrer meeting time, avoid this kinda of batch buffet coz 1hr wont be enough time to enjoy the buffet and catch up on one another.
3. Did they increase their price? Its now 1k+ vat inclusive.

Had lunch at Vikings today, and it was my first time at Jazz Mall. I'd say I'm pretty impressed with the interiors. It's way different from the one in MOA in a good way. However, when you're in a buffet. The food comes first more than anything. I'd say, there were fewer choice of food in this branch. In terms of almost every food. The selection of maki is fewer, and the tempura just vanish easily. Though, I love their lamb and slow cooked beef which is really tender and soft. Even the drinks selection and dessert is limited. I am really disappointed with the food. However, I really like their small presentation for the celebrants. They even have capes besides the usual horn. I'll definitely go back to Vikings but maybe not this branch. I still prefer MOA's.

My favorite vikings branch among all, yesterday was the night i have to celebrate with family, It was the usual vikings feel with quality sashimi's and plenty of choices.

They have promo that birthday celebrant are free within birth month as long as you bring 4 people with you.

Something vikings of this branch worth noting, they really need to thoroughly clean their plates and saucer cause when i was getting my a plate some batches of their plates are either oily or have food residue. :(

But overall it was still a great dining experience, And by the way, i wonder if something happen to their vikings hat, it was missing that night. :)

Okay i wont post my plate picture coz it may show my gluttony side, but vikings at jazz makati has always been my goto place whenever i crave for buffet, i dont know but i love this branch as compare to other viking branches mainly because its spacious and the way on how the food was presented.
And if you happen to visit here at your birthmonth you must bring at least 2 people with you ao that you can have your buffet free of charge. I think they have bigger promo exact birthday visit.

Had our team christmas celebration at vikings jazz which can be walked from our office (given it's not rainy nor sunny this december)

We didn't have any reservation. We called a week before but reservations are not anymore allowed. They suggested we just do walk in but it depends if the ones who reserved didn't came or depends on our waitlisted number.

Our strategy was to arrive at the mall 945 am. So that's before 10 am which is the opening time of the mall and before 11 am which is the time vikings allows customers to enter the resto.

We entered the mall at 10 am and was #7 on the waiting listof vikings. Can you believe we were #7?! So there were 6 people before us who also waited and thought of our strategy. I guess the 2 other entrances was nearer the resto which made it easier for them to access the restaurant and to get in line quicker. On my next attempts of getting in line, i'll take note/scout the entrance to which i can access the restaurant quicker.

While under the waiting list, make sure someone is around as if they call on your number and you are not around, they will skip you.

We were 13 on the team so it was quite a big group and we requested a seat nearer to each other or better yet somewhere we can fit and be together given that this is a team lunch.

Our number was called at around 1145 am. 2 hours of waiting time, Not bad and just in time for lunch.

Vikings has a variation of dishes available. They have chinese, american, korean and japanese cuisines being served. Also a wide range of drinks and desserts to choose from.

I noticed that the staffs of the restaurant would regularly clean the buffet area for spills and are trained to get the empty plates immediately which was very nice.

Nice resto to celebrate birthdays. Nice interiors and buffet spread is good enough. It's always full, even during lunch on weekdays. For me this is a better branch than Megamall. Resto manager is good, attends personally to customers to offer drinks.

Upon entering this buffet place, the beautiful interior caught my eye. Compared to other similar buffet places, Viking pit attention to their interiors - tables, chairs, and the decors were classy chic. They have tufted chairs, marble-like tables, chandeliers etc. It actually feels you're in a hotel buffet. This is a plus points for me. I wonder if the other branches looked like this too.

On to the food...

Based on my count, there are 7 sections/stations - Italian, asian, Pinoy, carving, Japanese, grilled, and of course dessert.

We started our meal with makis and sushis. I liked their Vikings special and all the sushi with salmon. Yum! Next is Italian section. They have 2 types of pizza and 2 types of pasta. I enjoyed their quesadillas! I actually wanted to try more. The calzone, though, tasted like afritada in a bread. You can skip it. 128513

Next is the carving station. This is hubby's fave section! There were lamb, herbed turkey and roast beef. Wow! I think for meat lovers, you will really find it sulit na sa station palang na to. The beef was sooo yummy. Oh btw, they only serve medium well or well done here. They don't serve rare or medium siguro para iwas food poison na din.

I also tried their dimsum. They have siai, siopao, cuapao, hakaw. I was looking forward to the hakaw coz I thought it was shrimp.. But it was pork hehe! But it tasted good pa din naman.

I was so full by then and wasn't able to try the grilled station. But what I saw from that station are diff kinds of fish you can choose from. I was thinking of having grilled salmon sana but I was too full.

Last station I tried is the dessert. There were a lot of cakes and shot glass desserts choices. I can say that this also set them apart. Their desserts were better compared to other buffet places I went to. Hindi yung magkakaibang kulay lang pero pare pareho lasa. Haha! The banoffee, brazo, dark chocolate and red velvet cake were yummy. They also have revel bars, brownies, etc. revel bar was good too! Cakes were moist, soft while the brownies and revel bars were chewy and yummy! Oh, they also have taho!

They also have several drink choices-lemongrass, iced tea, pineapple among others. The also serve tea and coffee. We hoped they improve the brewed coffee though bec. It was a bit matabang.

This was my first time to try Vikings because I thought it was just the same as other buffet places I went to.. but No. For me, the quality of the food here is much better. 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday, both to eat our hearts out and to avail of their promo (birthday celebrants get to eat for free as long as there's at least one paying customer/companion).

This branch was relatively smaller compared to other Vikings branches I've tried, but still had a good variety of cuisines. My favorite as always were the Japanese and dessert stations. More specifically, for dessert: ice cream (salted caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla, green tea flavors), cakes, and the choco chip cookie that was the perfect combination of chewi-ness and hard-ness :) Was also lucky that I got to eat baked oyster, as based from experience, this station always gets emptied and not immediately refilled.

What I didn't like was the staff, especially those in the entrance. They were very cold and snobbish, didn't even thank us when we went out. It also took them a long time before they got our empty, dirty dishes--waiters would pass by our tables as if they didn't see the dishes, glasses and cups that were piling up our table.

Kudos though to the 2-man band who was roaming around, singing energetic happy birthdays.
