Birthdays are best spent in Vikings! Or in any buffet because (1) you eat for free (2) the whole place will be singing for you, and (3) you have a variety of choices and you get to eat everything you want!!! Isn't that amazing? 128513128513

I used to enjoy buffets a lot before because there are so many choices and I always look forward to the sashimi, salmon, ice cream, the crepe, the fresh fruits, and the unlimited salad. 128525128525128525 But not anymore. I don't know if it's just me or what, but buffets, not just Vikings but also Buffet 101, Yakimix, and Sambokojin, are not like they way they used to be. 128148

We've been here once before and I enjoyed that visit. Despite being small and choices are not as wide as the one in MOA, we were still able to eat a lot and "maximize" the buffet but now, we didn't enjoyed, at all. Ony's dad celebrated his birthday here for lunch last September. Unlike our past buffet "experiences", his brothers weren't able to eat that much now. 128563

Majority of the dishes looked sad and old. And they refill so slow! Some would even hoard a lot of hakaw! 128530128530 There weren't lines or someone to manage the "lines". And it's too crowded.

The quality of the food was "questionable" and the cleanliness of the place was frustrating. Service wasn't that good, too. 128529

But the ICE CREAM was still so good! Loved the dark choco and avocado! 128154127851

I went here yesterday for a quick meet up with my friends.

I attacked first the carving station as I was very hungry. 128541 Not sure if it was a good idea though. Then I went to the Japanese section to indulge myself with my favorite salmon sashimi. Pero super onti lang ng sashimi nila. 128546

P.S. Not sure how much it costs now for dinner during weekdays. Maybe 900?

Can get enough of this mint lemon lime. My favorite among the drinks serve in Vikings. My other fave is the cucumber lemonade. 128525128077

This branch have good variety but I noticed they are slow to refill foods. Make sure to try their bread and cheese. They are good but can get you full easier. Binusog na litson was also good. Chinese Ginseng and miso is my bet for their soup. Dessert are same same with other buffet. 128522

Celebrated my aunt's birthday here. Since it's her birthday, she got to eat here for free. Hooray for free buffets!!! 127881127881127881

When someone is celebrating his/her birthday, it's a must to eat at Vikings, Buffet101, Yakimix and/or Sambokojin to avail of the promo and how can someone resist the wide wide wide variety of dishes to choose from. We, pinoys, love buffets. We always always make it a point to really maximize our tummies and of course, the money we paid. 128517128521

I tried (my best-est) to taste at least one to two dishes per station. My favorites would be the following:

Appetizer/Cold Cuts Section
- there are not a lot of choices to choose from but when I saw this, I just can't help but try the Salmon Puffs. Not sure w the name but it's like cream puffs but instead of cream, they used salmon pate. Ahhh, it was really goood! I think I ate more than what I'm supposed to eat. 128518128517

Salad Station
- my favorite station!! The Salmon and Mango salad was really really yummy. Fresh sweet mangoes with salmon bits plus lettuce (of course! 128518), cucumber, tomatoes, and bell peppers. And the Pomelo Salad was good too! Sweet and juicy pomelo! 128525 Loved how generous their options are in terms of the veggies, toppings, and dressing. 128077🏼

Chinese Station
- aside from the dimsum, they also have your usual Chinese food like sweet and sour fish fillet, steamed suahe, shabu-shabu, and congee. But I was only after the dimsum, specifically the Hakaw. Juicy huge prawns bursting with hakaw goodness and yumminess. For a buffet, didn't expected (at all) for the Hakaw to be that good. 128525128525

Italian Station
Pesto Pasta - simple and plain but the pesto flavor was spot on. Would have loved to add some prawns or chicken or salmon but too tamad but maybe you can request it so they'll be the one to get all the ingredients needed. 128517 The bolognese was okay.

The Carnivore's Haven 128055
US Beef Belly - oh so tender and tasty sinful beef belly slices. You must try this!! Even without any sauce/gravy, it was already flavorful and yummy! 128557128076🏼
They also have lamb, lechon, and pork something. And a lot of sides (like roasted veggies and roasted potatoes) and types of sauce to choose from.

The Japanese station was just okay. There's different types of maki and sushi rolls, sashimi, the forever fave tempura station, teppanyaki, soup, katsu station. But nothing extraordinary.

Dessert Station
Hot Tea - Japanese Green Tea!!! I liked, no loved, that they have green tea in a pot. Perfect help in digesting all we've consumed! 128518
They have different types of cakes, there's crepe, a selection of fresh fruits, chocolate fountain, halo halo station, pinoy kakanin, but our favorite would be the different choices of Ice Cream!!!!!! 128525 Our favorites are the Dark Choco, Avocado, Pistachio, & Green Tea!!! SARAP!!! Promise!! (Tip: Ask for the other flavors (Dark Choco & Avocado) available because they're hidden and not displayed! 128527128521).

Service was excellent. All the staffs were attentive, helpful, warm, and very friendly! 128077🏼

The food is fine. The taste of the dishes is different than what you think it would be. Maybe it's the authentic taste, not the filipino-inspired. Like the bake mussels, it taste different, totally different, it taste like the sea. 128514 The yucky sea flavor. It was my first time to taste turkey, and I am not disappointed. All in all, desserts is the best, and I think the main dish and appetizer cannot beat the flavors of dessert.

The perks of being a Quality Analyst – free buffet lunch from the team that we support. Yey!

The Contact Center that we support had their Annual Team Lunch and their generosity has been extended to us, QAs. Who would say no to this offer? I am not a big fan of buffet restaurants, but for the sake of review, I accepted the invitation.

Vikings Sucat is their newest branch located in the South. They have a good location in the mall, clean restrooms and spacious balcony for smokers. Staff and manager were accommodating as well, though they need to improve their billing system. It took them more than an hour to compute and re-compute the bill for 75 pax with 8 kids and 5 birthday celebrants.

For their food, I loved their tempura and grill stations, but it took them some time to refill their foods. Their baked oysters were so good that if I wasn't worrying about having an upset stomach, I could have eaten dozens of it. I loved their colorful drinks too.

The best part for me was dessert. Their crème brûlée and ice cream were great. I think they are using Big Scoop ice cream cos it tastes like one.

We left the place bloated. Some were bloated with food and some were with draft beer. LOL!

I've tried most Vikings branches. While the staff's level of courtesy and attentiveness remains unrivaled among restaurants and at par with most 4 to 5 star hotel restaurants, the ambience and the quality of the food, I have found lacking and disappointing. The restaurant layout is stuffy and cramped and that isn't an understatement. It seems like this branch wanted to max out the seating capacity for patrons but sacrificed comfort, then again there's another side to this, if they didn't max out the space, not all of the patrons would get to eat. As for the food quality, I felt they undercut the diners with carbs, frying oil, bread, breading starch, sugar and rice, which was a shock because Vikings has always been generous with protein. In fact their grilling station ran out of meat! I noticed they started rationing and controlling the flow of replenishment at some point during dinner time. That was the final straw that made me decide to do this review. PROTEIN SCARCITY, all carbs, which isn't healthy for muscle builders like me.

Lost its charm and appeal!

Food quality: 1 of 10
Ambiance: 5 of 10
Service: 5 of 10

If they continue serving crappy foods, for sure this restaurant will close.

The spread was not as good as the one in MOA definitely not comparable to Niu! I just thought the people who had to be on the waitlist since 10am only to be seated at 5:30pm must feel bad since I don't think it is really worth the wait. Again, don't get me wrong since I enjoyed my MOA experiences thus I am expecting at least the same. Going back to the spread, presentations were not enticing and I thought that it took a while for them to refill the food. Limited choices with the cheese station and on dessert128532. Also there were a number of birthday celebrants and I was one of them but I did not opt for the birthday song just the cake- I am thankful but the cake was dry128528. Lastly, the bill was given to us ahead even if we have not asked for it!! I do not recall having this experience in other Vikings store. Grrrr...and then the nerve to ask for commentary and survey I said I will not take it though the girl was saying all guests are asked to take the survey good for her she did not insist and so it was my husband and my friend who took and made all our comments. Will I be coming back? Not in this store. Thank you

Some of the food were great, some mediocre and others just blah. I expected too much on the variety of food available. I thought there'd be more but i guess the space is limited kaya there's not much to choose from. I enjoyed the drinks station though haha

what we liked:

Hakaw, fried mantou, spareribs, pata tim, sausage, Turkey, baked oyster, baked potatoes (tastes like yellowcab's baked potatoes!), some of the sushis/makis/rolls, drinks!

One of the few desserts that I liked (pictured above) is the fruit tartlet. The combination of the tart shell, cream and fruits is pretty good. Their Ice cream selection is pretty good and my sister said that the carrot cake is good too.

Service was great. We reserved a few days before but you'd have to get a number at the venue before they let your batch in (FCFS). Then, they'll call your number when you're to be seated. There's a separate numbering for walk ins and for people with reservations. The servers were nice and they were willing to assist with concerns and whatnot. The managers were hands on too.

The place is pretty clean. You'd see plenty of servers roaming around to get dirty plates and assist the diners. The restroom is clean also.

Overall, we didn't hate nor did we love the experience. We liked it enough to go back but probably not any time soon. Food needs improvement 128556

Went here on successive months and experience was mixed.

Food quality is ok
Food variation is hit n miss
Food taste is hit n miss
Service is so-so

Good thing in this branch is they open up at 530pm and not crowded as other branches.
