I'm not actually a fan of buffets but it was my Dad's birthday and it was his treat so who am I to complain?!

I'm sure everyone is familiar with Vikings. All I can say is I am still quite amazed with their wide selection considering the price. For a weekend lunch it was only at P900+ per head, I think. My favorites are the juice bar, the appetisers, the japanese corner and the desserts. While my husband's favorite is their freshly brewed beer.

I was quite disappointed however with their leg of lamb and cold cuts selection.

But, this is a fun place. It's great when you have your family with you. Bonding over food is something really enjoyable. Vikings somehow created an ambience that's really suitable for families.

I had dinner here last Wednesday with family. What I like about this branch is their unlimited oysters. Well, I know, this is buffet and maybe all branches offer that too. But I've been to other branches, and you have to order oysters there to be served to your table. In this branch, they just keep on refilling their big oyster plate. 128541

P.S. They also serve beer, and ice cream. So yeah, beer float. 128584

Okay. I just have to admit it, I've never gone to any buffet (aww weak is me).

Then my friend, invited me and my sister for a free buffet lunch at Vikings! And how could you decline that? Despite my busy schedule, I just had to make time for that!!!—Why not? It is for free! Yay! What have I done right? (OA much!)

Alright, I called up for a reservation the day before our visit but unfortunately the staff over the phone told me that the reservations are already full and advised us to just do the walk-in challenge (lol) And yes, challenge accepted!

At around 10:30am we lined up, and another unfortunate thing happened... three number before us, the lines for walk-in with table got cut! Imagine, if we came 3-5minutes early, we could've gotten a table right away! But what could we do, we waited until our turn. At exactly 12:00nn we got seated.

Being the "i-have-no-idea-with-buffets" person (but of course, I checked looloo reviews!!! *winks*) and there, looloo reviewers are raving about the 'carving station' specifically the binusog na lechon and dang! Long lines!!! And yes, sadly, I missed the chance to try it—but I'll come back for it! Oh please.

I first tried the tonkatsu—and I loved it!!! How about you?

Also, I tried their siomai, I got 6 pcs of it.

Other than their desserts—I loved their fruit salad and buko pandan—I did not get much, maybe because I got overwhelmed noh? But overall, I enjoyed my first ever buffet experience.

Staffs are attentive and good, like what I keep on saying on my reviews, more than good food... I'll always choose good service. #12Days

It's one of my friend's birthday en we got here for a treat. Hey thanks a lot buddy! 128522 Got in for reservation en we started with Japanese. Then the British plate followed by Italian, Filipino cuisine. Their sinigang is the best. I'd like to try seafoods. Unfortunately they ran out of oysters 'cause that was already around 8pm, so no more refills.

Desserts were next. They have lovely selections to choose from. I tried matcha/green tea ice cream en I was able to appreciate it for the first time. Also had a glass of beer for a try en whilst chit chatting, coffee was our night ender.

the ambiance was fancy, the staff were attentive even though there were a lot of people.
the food was good, too bad I wasn't able to get much because I have a baby with me
what surprised us was the moment the clock struck 10, all the foods were gone. They could have at least left the dessert station open for those who came late and is still finishing their meals.

I'm just too grateful everytime a Birthday celebration is held here...free Buffet weeh! 128525
It feels good to be here, energized by a bunch of people, loud Birthday song, and overwhelming food supply.

I enjoyed a plateful of Prawns and Salmon. Haha. Always my two top fave to eat at Buffets. But on the picture, it's the Avocado ice cream (and Vanilla) that i really love eating. A perfect dessert for me. Tanggal umay!

I also had fun drinking coffee (another favorite) with my friend while waiting for the bill. Nakaligpit na, humihirit pa. Sulit! 128077

The birthday boy's birthday plate! Haha. So, the H and I had lunch at Vikings 2 days ago to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We made a reservation ahead of time and we're very happy that we did because there was a queue when we got there at 11:15am. Apparently, there were a lot of walk-in guests because of graduation and other celebrations. I thought the place wasn't that crowded like what the other reviews said, but as time passes by, I realized that it's really crowded. Like, I couldn't really walk to where I'm supposed to go to without bumping onto people. Plus, the tables were really close to each other, I feel like our personal space is being invaded or something. So, if you're really sensitive with your personal space, I suggest you try other branches instead. :/

The flavor of the food though was superb! Well, except for their Nilagang Baka which I find terribly oily. It was as if I was having oil for soup. I loved their crispy pork belly! It was sinfully good!! And I love the variety of their sashimi, rolls, and sushi. ;)
I didn't like the taste of the birthday cake they gave the H though. :( It tasted like chalky mashed potato with mocha icing. :(

Will definitely come back to Vikings, but not this branch. :))

The Lamb and the crispy pork belly were a hit! Food was delicious 128079 There were so much desserts and drinks to choose from compared with other buffet restos. Best buffet experience for me so far.

We went here for Ian's birthday (we went to a lot of places for his birthday, foodies after all). He doesn't have to pay (promo), which is why we chose this day to dine here. I love eating but as my appetite is so small, buffets aren't really "sulit" for me. So this is as good as a time as any to go for Viking's.

We liked the food. The best part is the steak. By the time we decided to get some, the tenderloin was gone. We didn't want to line up for it. But the rib eye and mashed potato were good.

We also enjoyed the selection for Japanese and Chinese food. We had to wait for the salmon to be refilled though, same thing with the hakaw. And with the baked oysters (on the other end.) I noticed we had to do that a lot... Some dishes are just popular and Vikings is crowded.

The cheeses were fair as well, some variety but not much. There's chutney as well. The desserts were nice. The soy cheesecake was surprisingly good. The frozen yogurt was enjoyable, though stay away from the gummy candies as they are as hard as rocks! A lot that we didn't get to try. I noticed local desserts too such as puto bumbong.

We had fun mixing drinks, particularly beer cocktails. The materials were just at the open bar after all. We even got to make affogato, grabbed salted caramel at the ice cream station and coffee at the bar. Lol.

They gave Ian their standard cake. They sang songs, had a photo-up. Standard stuff for buffet. Uncomfortable for Ian, funny for me. I think they were singing birthday songs for about 2 hours.

The food is fair. The space is a little tight. They packed the place up. The servers were nice and attentive.

Maybe we'd go back for another promo, but wouldn't really pay full price for the buffet. For a 2k budget, there are much more nicer places to visit.
