When in Baguio you'll see everything strawberry - strawberry taho, dirty ice cream, jam, crinkles, lengua, strawberry infused tsokolate batirol, sinigang and of course strawberry cakes. I've tried all of them except for one - Vizco's infamous Strawberry Shortcake.

There's only one Visco's restaurant I know and it's the one in Upper Session Road. The area is always chaotic! Restaurants lined up, lots of people and bad traffic. We always hesitate and end up not going since parking is also a challenge. I always tell myself that we'll try again next time since my family loves going to this strawberry land at least once a year.

During our December trip, we chanced upon Vizco's in Camp John Hay! Oh imagine my delight! Went straight inside with only one thing on my mind - Strawberry Shortcake! I ordered a whole cake, requested for some plates and utensils and shared it with the family.

I loved the plump and generous serving of fresh strawberries on top of the cake! They obviously didn't scrimp on the good stuff. The strawberries weren't the thinly sliced type, they were actually halves! Taking a slice, you'll see that there are two layers of chiffon sandwiching a layer of cream. I loved that the cake itself was airy and fluffy but not dry at all. The cream, which also served as the frosting, was whipped so it was light and it had the right amount of sweetness. Infused with strawberries, the frosting was actually good.

Another thing that I liked was the generous helping of fresh strawberries married with the cream filling between the cake layers. Such a bang for your buck at less than 700Php for the whole cake. But overall taste - it was just okay. Nothing wow except for the fresh berries. Maybe I like it with a stronger strawberry flavor which can be achieved by using ripe and sweet ones and maybe mashing more fresh berries into the cream. Since they do mass production of cakes, some of the strawberries were sour!

Nonetheless, it's still worth a try and will probably drop by this branch again next time.

The best Strawberry Shortcake I've ever shoved down my pie hole. It wasn't too sweet, tasted light & fresh, and relatively affordable. If you ever find yourself in Baguio, be sure to try a slice, or three.

We were up in the Highlands of Baguio and I intended to try out some of the food joints there. One place I wanted to check out was Vizco's. I have read rave reviews about their cakes, and as a self-confessed confectionery lover, I was immediately swooned. The reviews were right. At such an affordable price of 90 pesos, their Strawberry Cheesecake was a definite knockout. It was creamy and tasty - with a very instagrammable look. Don't forget to try this out when you're in Baguio. You'll surely have this in your "I will eat here when I come back" list.

Don't leave Baguio without trying this. Best Stawberry Shortcake evaaaar at P95 per slice. It's a bit better than Purple Oven's because of its generous stawberries and cream filling. 127827

Please, please, please open a branch or at least an express shop of your cakes in Manila. You have a good hungry market here. It will be a hit for sure! On any day and occasion, specially on Christmas! 128591

They say that when in Baguio, we should try Vizco's strawberry shortcake and, I did! All I can say that it was good even my grandpa likes it. The sponge cake was so fluffy and the cream is just right plus the fresh strawberries on top, too bad some of the strawberries are sour. But I will still recommend it to try their cake. PS, Bebe Rouge's cake is still my favorite 128513

It's been a month since my last review 128563 Cake tasting at Vizco's. All the cakes are good, moist and have the perfect sweetness. Strawberry shortcake is the best :) you should try this when you are in Baguio. Other cakes include: Oreo cheesecake, walnut chocolate cake, mango cake, carrot cake, black forest, etc. The Vizco's restaurant in Session Road also offer variety of foods (pasta, pizza and steaks) You should also try their Sun-dried tomato pasta. I love that pasta. Hahaha

Famous for their Strawberry shortcake, Vizco's is a good cafe to go too. Definitely the best shortcake I've ever tasted! Quite affordable too. The ambiance on this branch is laid back as it also shares a space with a photography studio that has the same owner :)

Their Strawberry shortcake is heavenly. The right fluffiness of the pound strawberry cake plus the even sweetness of the icing plus the perfectly ripen strawberries on top of the cake made this cake just so delectable. Will surely be back for this.

This is where we had our merienda. Wanted to try the Strawberry Shortcake but was not able to because we were too full with the nachos supreme. Nachos supreme's serving size was big. It was good value for money because it was around 165-185. Their coffee and hot choco were also good value for money. Both were just 45 each, and coffee even had an additional refill. Too bad we were not able to try the cake, looks good and heard it was their bestseller.

When everyone's giving high praises to their strawberry shortcakes... I just can't get near real fresh whole strawberries... My system can't take it ... Maybe coz I've eaten too much as a child ... Now I run away at the sight of it ... & so I ask what's good to try that has nothing to do with strawberries & they reco blueberry cheesecake

Well it's light, not the thick or dense cheesecake that I love ... Just a little of the cheesy taste but more of the lightly beaten homemade sweetened cream ... It's not all that bad... Less guilt trip I might say. They add the blueberries top just before serving ...so the consistency of the cake is preserve well in the chiller ... The thick not too sweet blueberries I like ... Probably will be back to try other sweet offerings in the future
