It was second time at The Yard, Xaiverville and another visit at Waff ensued recently. This food stall offers more than sweet waffles. They also pair off these with savory dishes like their Herbed Crispy Chicken. It also has wings and sizzling plates. It is a full blown restaurant in a food park.

Anyway after an invite with nearby Tokyo Tempura we went here for dessert only. We got Banaffle and S’moreffles for their basic waffle pieces. Nothing impressive really, its chocolate for example was simply sauce. It would have been better if it was a spread type for a thicker texture and sweeter taste.

The Bubble Waff or waffle shaped like a bubble in cup was a tad better. We got Matcha and Red Velvet. It was filling even for just a piece of ‘bubble’. Its taste was what it should be, it could use more moisture though as it was dry. Also they could’ve used ice cream as topping instead of just whipped cream.

Nothing special. Didn't taste the green tea that much, I should've gone for the normal waffle.

Waff's Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bubble Waffle was good. Sides of the waffle were crisp while the 'bubbles' were soft and moist. I'm not sure if the cream on top was actually cream cheese but it was okay. There's also chocolate ice cream inside so it was a good mix of hot & cold.

An order is definitely good for sharing. 128077🏼

I love sisig, so much so that I used to list it as an "interest" during those slam book days. Interests: writing, movies, sisig. Ganern hahaha. Anyway, I digress. When the bf pointed out a "sisig volcano" on Waff's menu, i knew I had to try it.

I got an order with egg for 190 php (without egg is 175 php or so). Was wondering how they'd incorporate waffles into the order, since that was their whole thing. Turns out, they waffle the rice haha. Then they top it with three types of sisig including crunchy and dinakdakan. It's shaped like a volcano so that's where the volcano part comes in. 128514

Order is okay for two people to share maybe, or good for one hungry person. I kind of liked it, especially the crispy sisig bits.

Aside from this, Waff also offers buttermilk chicken as well as a variety of sweet waffle orders. Prices ranged from 35 (single) to around 150 (for sharing) so they were reasonable. 128077

Waff is one of the newly opened stalls at The Yard at Xavierville. Tried their Red Velvet Egg Waffle (P135) and it was a delicious treat! It was really soft with crunchy sides. What better way to step up your waffle game than to squeeze in vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and sprinkles? Definitely something new to try.

They have their own air conditioned space with seats too. And their staff is really friendly and accomodating (Notice their note in my cup?). So thumbs up for that!128077🏻
