Finally tried this nice resto. It was dinner so we opted out of the buffet and just did ala carte. Ordered their Yuri Carab salad, soft shell crab tempura, yakitori - squid, salmon, octopus and beef. All good! Would definitely go back to try their lunch buffet.

We went to Greenhills to watch John Wick Chapter 2 and plan to have dinner in one of the Japanese restaurant in the area in celebration of Valentine's season.

And we're back at Wafu Japanese Restaurant which offers wide varieties of Japanese dishes from Teppanyaki, Sushi, Bowls and Steaks.

Amazing and elegant interior and I am
super WOWed again with it's beautiful, bright and spacious set-up. I am fascinated too with the majestic and classy furnitures inside the 2-storey restaurant.

Upon entry we were greeted and assisted by Wafu's courteous staff until we reached the Teppanyaki area which is located at the second floor of the restaurant.

The staff handed the menu for their Teppanyaki and checked the provided list what meat we will be getting. The chef pre-heated the pan and he gave us some fire as the signal that he will start to cook the first dish. He started to spread and put the rice in the big pan and break the egg to cook the fried rice. Then followed by salmon, 3 cuts of beef (tenderloin, gyuniku and hanging tender), chicken, oysters, squid, clams and lastly the sprouts. While the chef cooking in front of us, the staff served the shrimp tempura, soup, maki and the sauces for teppanyaki. The chef told us that we need to eat after he cooked each meat/vegetable for better quality... which we did. And lastly the staff served the free scoop of ice cream. I had strawberry flavor for sweet ending. By the way, unlimited iced tea was served.

All of the dishes cooked were " Super Sarap". My favorites were the 3 cuts of beef especially the tenderloin and the oysters - "Swabe and lasa!"

Overall, we had a wonderful time and satisfied our cravings for Japanese Teppanyaki. Total damage per head - Php1,200.00+.

had a meeting here because they suggested it. i was hesitant at first because i heard bad reviews. but it's a good thing i was able to try it.

tori teri don 128077128077128077128077128077 lacked some teriyaki sauce but waiter gave an extra bowl of it so it was compensated
gyoza 128077128077128077128077128077 tell them how you want it to be cooked. so i said the type i wanted. they did it perfectly.
yakitori .. I wasn't able to taste this because my stomach was full already so i just had it doggy bagged.

air conditioning was just right
service was a bit slow but I wasn't in a hurry. and my food was served in the right pace.

Was invited by a dear friend for her birthday last week and I was really happy she chose this place 128525 Their Teppanyaki buffet has long been a favorite of mine! Pretty sulit @799++ IMO!

Here's a checklist of food you can order:

I. Soup - miso, Chawan mushi, dobin mushi & salmon with miso

II. Rice - Plain or Japanese Fried rice

III. Meat - Chicken Teppan, US hanging tender, Beef Tenderloin, US flat iron Steak, US Gyuniku

IV. Seafood - salmon, blue marlin, squid, oyster, clams

V. Veggies - mixed mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini etc.

VI. Tempura - Shrimp, veggie, kani sticks, kakiage, agedashi tofu

Others: Okonomiyaki, yakisoba, Yaki udon and assorted maki rolls, Tamago sashimi

Unlimited Iced Tea and 1 scoop Ice Cream for dessert 128522

Each table is assigned a chef and he cooks everything in front of you, even putting on a little show, very entertaining! I super love the US tenderloin (Rare of course) Very tender and tasty! Just order a lot of that and super sulit na, I really enjoy the food every time we're here 128525128055Yes, I gush!!! 128079🏼 Service is always great too!

On the downside, do bring an extra shirt if you have somewhere else to go as you'll definitely end up smelling like a walking BBQ stick 128541

If you're a Japanese food freak like I am, I bet you'll love this place. For those who went here and tried the ala carte, you might be thinking "eh di naman masarap e." Slow your roll. I'm talking about the Teppanyaki buffet that they have. 128517 I've actually read some reviews for this place and saw some people saying this place was just so so. So believe me, I was apprehensive to try it with my family. But the Teppanyaki buffet is just epic. We've been back 3-4 times already... Not on the same month ha. #defensive #naninigurolang

From their previous 2000+ per person buffet they came out with a special offer of around 800++ per person. That's why we tried it. It's a 7 course meal where you get to try different items and you have total control on the menu. Love it! Plus, it's freshly cooked in front of you by a Teppanyaki chef. 128077🏼

Their must tries from the roster: the grilled salmon, the Sukiyaki cut beef, their angus beef, the chawan mushi and miso soup, their tempura, the assorted mushrooms, and the sake. Yes, you heard that right, the sake. They have a promo bottle which would cost you around 2000+ but don't be fooled, it can get a big group drunk. 128565 Sake is such a traydor drink. You think it's so clear and light but wait until you've had like 8 (or 20) shots and you'll see a whole new world hahaha 128514.

You can't say anything wrong with their food and their staff. Everyone's really friendly 128077🏼

Some reminders:
- bring your appetite and A-game (you're in for a fight haha)
- they only have 2 slots: the 6 to 8 and the 8-10pm so reserve ahead
- although they cook all the dishes in sequence as its a whole course, try to pace yourself. You can actually request everything you like again after the course. But I'm sure you'll be stuffed right after 128517
- they have unlimited ice tea, rice as well and also free ice cream at the end. 128076🏼

Ps: they also have a kick ass Resto. You'll see when you enter the resto. The main area's aesthetics are awesome!

To summarize (like what I do in my IG chubbyperohappy):

Had an advanced birthday lunch, 17 of us in 2 teppan tables. The place smells nice and clean. We had their all you can eat teppan meal, cooked in front of us, food cooked upon order. The chef was nice and accomodating, food cooked according to individual liking. Food looked good and taste nice. The only problem was their service for othet items like miso soup, hot tea, iced tea, water and refill of food and sauces were turltle slow. It cost php799++ per person. Since the price is for all you can eat, everybody over ate and exceeded their caloric allowance, it is easy to load with calories but would require great effort to burn those excess calories. It was value for money.

To advance celebrate my dads birthday we decided to treat him in one of his most requested japanese restaurant, wafu. Upon entering the place you will immediately see the elegant design of the resto. The cobunpue like design of their chairs to the japanese ornaments like samurai armor and the samurai arrow was so cool! Shown in the pic is a top view of the resto very beautiful. They have also displayed their big bottles of sake wine. We went for the order all you can teppanyaki. For starter we order the miso soup which as usual tasted good and a great way to start a japanese meal. The tempura was delicious and imagine an eat all you can premium tempura wow! The best part of the teppanyaki was the beef hanger steak and tenderloin. We asked the chef to cook it medium rare for it to be more tender juicy. With the just the number of those beef we ordered I think we got more than what we've paid for. Order great choices from their teppanyaki was the assorted rolls and the mushroom teppanyaki. Not on the order all you can are the sashimi which you could order alcarte. May dad was craving for a hamachi sashimi so we ordered him one. The serving was big thick slices of hamachi which was fresh good!
At 799 teppanyaki all you can it was really worth it its like eating eat all you can in kimpura.128518

It was my husband's birthday and we went there for a lunch date. It was our first time, but after the experience, we knew it wouldn't be our last. Servers were pleasant. Their steak is juicy and flavorful from the inside out. I ordered their Gindara Teriyaki and though a bit pricey, I think it was well worth the money. Their desserts are to die for and the ambience makes it so much more worth the stop!

Wafu can never be missed at the heart of gh shopping district. Ive always been curious of their food and the interior inside. Well, it is nice and comfy and the background music is not too loud thus relaxing. They dont have the usual bento boxes that Japanese restos offer and it would be really nice if their miso soup is offered as complimentary considering that the serving is very little naman. The manager took our orders. She doesnt know how much is the serving of the rice that's for sharing. Hello, she suggested it kaya. We just took separate rice serving as usual, asked for miso soups, and hot teas. So our orders came, the tonkatsu has rice and miso soup! Di pala ala carte as she knows. So we had her called. She's confused. We took the extra rice but have a miso soup cancelled. And she was making face because of that ah. Ms manager please know what you offer, you were asked naman beforehand. The tuna sashimi's okay, served nicely. The tonkatsu, i dont like much, not well cooked e and the sauce, little serving with little taste. The shrimp tempura's okay lang. I love their teriyaki chicken, you can taste that it's really grilled. Shared ang comfort room with the employees, they're all inside, nakatambay.

I loved the teppanyaki buffet and the way they present their cooking. My favorite would be the flank steak, oyster teppan, and the tempura. The chef said that it is similar to Kimpura since he worked there before.

The restaurant was pretty nice with high ceilings and a well-decorated interior. We were given two menus -- the regular menu, and the Izakaya. The Izakaya Menu includes a selection of their sashimi/maki, tempura, yakitori, kushiage, and teppanyaki for a lesser price. We ordered gyudon, katsudon, ebi tempura and California roll. Their food was just okay! For me omakase is better! *haha* 9996🏻️ and much cheaper. Service was okay.
