t is most likely the only stand alone Jamaican restaurant in the country. I am happy it’s very near where I work. In this trip, I was fortunate to meet and chat with their chef, Justin.

I got their Jerk Chicken meal with a single serve of chicken fillet for Php 195. The two serving is only Php 255, a mere Php 60 difference. I would have opted for it if I wasn’t half full.

Their chicken really does have a jerk or kick. It’s well marinated, flavors abound. Unlike others were it’s mostly on the skin, theirs penetrate inside the meat.

What’s best though is not the chicken but their beans! It’s smooth and very tasty. There is an option to have more on side dish, so I suggest you do that.

The cornbread is also impressive. I say its second after Fireside’s. It has a very compact sweet crunch on it.

I would’ve rated higher if their Jamaican patties share the same sentiment as the rest. The dough was too thick with meat inside not as flavorful. I suggested to chef smaller pieces with more variety of meats.

They have reggae at night. They have a second floor veranda that’s open air.

Chef tells me more food and concepts to come. Am excited to visit again. You should check it out.

I didn't like it at all. Nothing on my plate (pictured above) had any flavor. Nothing complimented anything. It was a total dissapointment...

This place, Wagga jerk! 128545

The first jerk in town is here -- jerk chicken that is! When I heard about the new place, sugod agad! 128514 (basta pagkain talaga) 128513

Tried their Jerk Chicken for takeout and I liked it! It can be a little dry (it is dry-rubbed marinated after all) but it was the bomb with their chili sauce 🌶

Serving was generous and jerk chicken is served with rice, beans, callaloo (Jamaican veggie dish that looks similar to laing), and plantain aka 127820

Place is quite hidden inside Meralco 88 compound but it's easy to spot with it's eye-catching yellow exterior 128525 inside it's screaming colorful and vibrant! Another place added on my "instagram-worthy restaurants" list! #50ksummergiveaway
