Serving has become a little bit smaller, but still affordable dimsum.

It's chinese food and fast food. When I say fast food, I mean FAST food.

Had spareribs rice, beef mami, siomai, and 2 milk teas. All came in about 5 minutes.

The spareribs were even better than tim ho wan's. Beef mami is good with rich soft meat.

Head over this local chinese resto if you're craving it. Won't disappoint but don't expect the most fantastic of ambience, it is in Binondo anyways.

Craved for Chinese food in this gloomy weather. We were all driving around Binondo looking for Pokemons - nah, just kidding! We were doing an ocular around the area for our shooting location when we all realized that hey, we're in Binondo so let's all eat Chinese food! And where best to experience Chinese cuisine than Wai Ying!

Prices here are way lower than Chinese restaurants in the metro. For my order, I opted for the Soy Chicken Rice. The gingery taste was strong but was really good in the soy chicken. Definitely a must try. The chicken serving was also big.

I got to taste the wanton in their Wanton Noodle Soup and damn it tasted so good! Very delicious! I think I liked it better than their siomai. Plus the soup was really tasty, the chicken broth was strong. Perfect for the weather.

I also tried their dimsum - spareribs, beancurd, and hakaw. Kinda irritated that my favorite chicken feet was not available! How?! Chinese food = chicken feet! 128545 Anyway, at least everything tasted great. Spareribs were big and kinda bony but delicious. Hakaw was stuffed. Didn't get to taste the beancurd because they all ate it before I got one!

Also tasted the sweet and sour pork. Not their best dish though. Pork was hard to chew, but the serving was definitely sulit.

Any other Chinese restaurants that you would recommend here? I wanna go for a Binondo food trip! Plus everything's very Instagram worthy from the food to the streets!

all were really good as usual except for the roasted duck congee which was an okay to me. a bit malangsa duck taste, can be covered with adding some more white pepper and soy sauce. 128077🏻128077🏻

I was at Quiapo last weekend at around 7am and I did not have breakfast yet so I was thinking of where to eat and I immediately thought of Binondo. It was kinda far but I walked from Quiapo to Escolta then to Binondo (Dumaan talaga ng Escolta para magpicture na rin. Lol. And also to check out if bukas yung weekend market.) Passed by a MiniStop and decided to eat one kariman which was oily and not good at all. 128549

Anyway, it was refreshing to see Binondo on a Saturday morning. Not too many people rushing and running around. Upon arriving at Wai Ying, I already knew what I was going to order - Asado and milk tea!!!

So I got the Asado Mami and Iced Milk Tea! I wanted to order curry beef siomai but it was not available. The bowl was really big for me. Sadly, I got really full so I only finished half of it. Pina-takeout ko na lang but it was put in a plastic bag. I asked if they had any other container and they said I had to pay 10pesos which was fine.

Decided to just walk to Carriedo LRT again since it wasn't hot yet. Upon passing by a guy sleeping on the streets, I decided to just give him my take-out since marami pa naman kaso wala lang akong utensils na naibigay. 128522

FYI - Last time I visited Wai Ying I think I was able to finish 3 Milkteas. Lol. 128512

It's another chinatown visit for me. And i just want to express how difficult it is to park around the area. Yes, there are some parking lot but i am afraid to leave the keys to them. There are street parking also for 40pesos but there's a risk for your car to be clamped. But thank God i did not experience any car clamping.

Wai ying is a place that is easy to miss. It's not like wan chai (which i have mistaken for the previous) that's a little grandeur. ---wai ying got no parking space unlike wanchai. Wai ying looks like a more commercial canteen/karenderia.

Its area is rectangular. It has two floors. I stayed at the second floor. The menu is already at the table together with the condiments-- fish sauce, chili, vinegar...
Server is semi assistive and will deliver you utensils in glass with hot water (thumbs up cause some restaurants do this with lukewarm water-- really?! like that would be ineffective!), calamansi, and the 128525house tea!

128204 beef mami noodles
Ok so this is wanton and mami. There's a 3pc siomai in the bowl, beef cubes that's fatty. I still prefer beef cutlets without so much fat. I had to throw some parts because of beef cartilages too. The mami was good enough. The soup is as well above average-- so my issue here is just the beef cutlets.

128204 kuchai dumpling
The flour skin is sticky which is not so big problem with me the thing is i was looking for a pure veggie dumpling, this one got meat. I was looking for a purer one yung tipong magkakatinga ako. So at the end the sticky flour skin and meat overpowered the veggie.

128204128525 bean curd roll
I was looking a tim ho wan's vermicelli roll. This one was kinda close only that the roll was a little tough.

The ambiance is considerably unique. The chattering noise and the antique table overall was one of a kind.

There are two CRs. One downstair and the other upstairs both at the end of the "hall". I like it cause it also complements the total chinatown ambiance. I like it cause it got soap and ventilation! 128518

I think i would be more satisfied if i order hakaw or something, but yes, dining here is s must and should be added to your chinatown list. 128538128077🏼

If we crave for chinese food, we mean legit traditional chinese food 9786️ haha, binondo has been famous for its traditional chinese restaurants where you get to taste their food and experience their culture.

Wai ying is one of the well known dismsum restaurants around and so we had lunch here, we ordered their beef hofan which are uber thick rice noodles tossed in their special sweet salty beef sauce with some veggies and strips of meat, it was delicious, the sauce was fully absorbed by the noodles and the veggies and beef are perfectly cooked, alongside these dish we ordered raddish cake, hot salad roll, and century egg sioma, their dimsum is great as well, raddish cake was crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside, hot salad roll was creamy and sweet with the wrapper being the salty element that complemented the salad well, and the century egg siomai had a unique taste to it. Overall it was comforting, i suggest you drop by and have a dimsum food trip between 2pm-5pm so you'd be able to avail their "happy hour" half price discount 128077🏻

As part of our Binondo Foodie Hop, there's always the trusty Wai Ying to have the nearest taste of HK goodness.... But I don't want to get my friends filled up with all the noodles, congee and rice meals since we would still be hopping onto the next foodie place, so we grabbed some tasty dimsum starters ( which were also filling )

Say hello to the famed, plump Hakaw.....Bean Curd Roll, Beef Ball, Spare Ribs and Sharks Fin Dumplings 12852210084️12852210084️ The thing I like about their dimsum is that there's a bit of juice upon sinking your teeth on these goodies, so it's not really just dry meat 128522

And for our main pica pica we got a plate of Asado Pork.... Hahaha yes, no rice... Just munched on the sweety meaty goodness 12852210084️12852210084️

I've been here a lot of times, and even though there are already branches around the metro I always stick to the original, hehehe 12852210084️ Every Wai Ying moment means going home with a happy tummy 128077🏻128077🏻128077🏻

And mind you it's open till around 1:30 am! 10084️

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. My brother and I used to frequent this place when I was in college (2002). Their Minced Beef Rice costs only P70 then, and it's P110 now. Haha!

Still, I order it every single time I visit them. Add to that, their 12pc steamed dumplings (P120) which is more practical to order than siomai or hakaw because the dumplings have shrimps too. And please don't forget to try their Cold HK Milk Tea which would put all those milk tea shops out there to shame. 128512

The quality of some of their food has deteriorated, but it remains to be popular. I still like the congee and some of the dimsum and it is still budget friendly.

I'm waiying! 128123 This is unexpectedly delicious! Tried Wai Ying Tea House yesterday for our late dinner. Food were so good! If you're out of the budget to have some dim sum realness in Tim Ho Wan or in Din Tai Fung, this place is just so perfect for you. We had our food for only P590. I will definitely be coming back for more!

#BinondoFoodCrawl is incomplete without dining at Wai Ying at Buenavidez St. Or you're just craving for Chinese food, this is one of the great place to be satisfied. This place is always full, but it's worth the wait. From dimsums, noodles, legit Chinese food to milk tea is really taste buds fulfilling.

I DON'T LIKE: They serve complimentary hot tea which I didn't like that much when I compared it to other Chinese Restaurant.

I LOVE: So moving on, dimsums, 1st is my favorite Hakao was not a disappointment here (Php 80). 128512 Filled with shirmps inside it and the wrapper is not so soggy. Siomai is a good starter too, it tasted real meat inside (Php 75).

I LIKE: I tried steamed Shark's Fin. I'm not used to eat steamed but I give it a try. So I just noticed that the wrapper is thicker, and inside is savory meat. Worth a try. 128522 Beef Mami is good for 2 to 4 person. We just ordered 1 and they separated it into 2 bowl that makes us so full. Really good to warm up our stomach (Php 120). Asado siopao, is unlike commom taste of siopao around the metro, maybe it is the authentic kick of asado. 128512 (Php 70)

They serve all dimsums fresh from steamer, so expect it's hot before jumping in. Value for the money, so SULIT!
Our total bill: Php 460 (2 person)

I craved for legit dimsum and suddenly thought of Binondo. Good thing my family was game to go there and have lunch. We arrived early so we decided to hear mass at Binondo Church before we headed to the restaurant.

I suggested Wai Ying 'cos they're known for yummy and affordable dimsum. I can't even remember the last time I ate there. All I know is that my dad brings us here when we were younger since his office was nearby. The place was already full at 11am and we had to wait for about 15 minutes until we were able to find an available table. Staff were too busy to notice us when we were trying to call them to have the table cleaned and to place our orders.

We had HK Style Fried Noodles, Bola Bola Congee, Fried Lumpia, 2 orders each of hakaw and siomai, and 3 orders of asado siopao. My sister also ordered a glass of cold Milk Tea. The hakaw and siomai were good and really sulit for less than a hundred bucks each, though it wasn't hot when it was served. We all liked the asado siopao too! Each order had two small paos but it were very filling. My sister who's very picky when it comes to siopao finished 3 pieces! 128514 My parents shared a bowl of congee but found it so-so. The HK Fried Noodles was meh, it was so dry and tasteless! 128529 The fried lumpia was too oily, they didn't even finish it. My sister found the milk tea bland.

Mom wasn't too happy with the food. She kept telling me we should've eaten somewhere else. Oops sorry! 128514 I was happy with the dimsum, but the other items we ordered weren't impressive. Service was not satisfactory either.

Place is always crowded. Always.

But always worth the wait. (Parang love)

This place is always on my list whenever I visit Binondo. You get really good food without hurting the wallet.

Ordered Asado with rice which was awesome as usual plus HK Milktea. Unfortunately, I have never tried their Hakaw since I'm allergic to shrimp but my friend said it was the best Hakaw ever. After finishing my Asado, I just had to order another glass of milktea. Peksman, masarap!

Another thing I would recommend would be the roasted duck!

Posting this at 12:40 AM was a bad idea. Suddenly craved for their food. Gaaah. 128546

This place is always part of our Binondo food trip itinerary. Dedma the ambience of the place, they serve really good food. We went on a holiday, and queued up for a chance to taste the awesomely good Japanese siomai for PhP80/3pcs. Yes, the all-time favorite Japanese siomai (which is not in the photo btw). We also ordered the roasted duck with asado fried rice for PhP240 and wanton mami for PhP120. For sharing guys, don't judge. Haha. Aside from the siomai, I go back here for the roasted duck. It's cheapo but good at the same time. So, visit this place when you go to Binondo, alright? You won't regret it. 128522

BEST HAKAW IN TOWN!!! That wrapped beauty is filled with shrimp. No extenders! You can enjoy 4 pieces of hakaw for only 80 pesos. If you have cravings for Chinese food but you're also keeping an eye on your budget, Wai Ying is the answer. I ordered DUMPLING MAMI (120 pesos) and you can even ask for extra soup. The serving is huge and the dumplings are so yummy!! Again, no extenders!! You'll get to savor the meat and mushroom in every bite. I also tried their RADISH CAKE and I enjoyed it a lot! Their chicken feet and lumpia were okay but I'm not going to order those on my next visit.

They sell frozen goods too just in case you want to take some home for your family to try. I would've loved to try their rice meals but sadly, it wasn't available yet coz we got there by 7am and they only serve mami, congee, siopao, and dumplings for breakfast. Next time, I'll try their famous roasted duck asado.

Put this on your list if you ever have plans on heading to Binondo. They have 2 stores in Benavidez street and I chose the branch near Ongpin. The restaurant is air-conditioned and servers will quickly attend to you. There's still room for improvement on their customer service though.
