I've always wanted to try this tapos sakto nag divi kami nung weekends and I saw Wai Ying sa food court. Medyo mahaba pila! Lunch time kasi.

I ordered Soy Chicken Rice and Hakaw. Ang dami ng serving for the Soy Chicken Rice! Sobrang malasa.

Whenever I am craving for legit, affordable and delicious Chinese food, Wai Ying is always one of the few options that come to my mind.

Located in Manila, Wai Ying has few branches that a lot of people frequent. We went to 168 Mall one Saturday afternoon for my cousin's gown fitting and I was really excited to eat at Wai Ying after my bridesmaid duties.

It is located at the 3rd floor of the building wherein it's one of the establishments located in the food court. I was really surprised to see a long line given that it's already after lunch. We were like 10th to b served but still, we waited. Well, that really shows how yum and worth it their dishes are.

For myself, I ordered their Asado Mami for 120php. It was really sulit given that the serving was huge. It's actually good for sharing. The pork asado in it was placed generously and you'll really get full if you eat all the asado by yourself. The noodles, as always, were cooked really well and the broth was so tasty that you would want to make sure that you left nothing in the bowl because it's just really so good.

For take-out, I ordered their Pansit Bihon for the family and yes, the serving's really good given its price of 170php. I just like this item better if it's a bit spicy to give it that kick.

Wai Ying is always one of my favorite restaurants and if you get the chance to visit them, try their Siomai, Siopao and White Chicken because these are some of our most loved dishes from them. Their Iced Milk Tea's great too!

It was an unplanned divisoria trip. But everytime I visit 168mall I always have to drop by Wai Ying for my usual order: Beef Wanton Mami, Hakaw and Cold HK Milk tea.

Too bad milk tea wasn't available (sigh) that day (Sunday). And I know I ordered beef wanton but my usual "lutang moment" when they served the mami I only realized that it's Wanton Mami Noodles P120 when I already eaten 1/4 of it 128514. I was looking for that flavourful broth, but it was just ok, may hinahanap hanap ako. The broth flavour was not sticking to the egg noodles so i find it bland. That you need to put in soy sauce to the broth.

I kinda felt sad that I checked the receipt if they punched in Beef Wanton Mami but it only says Mami and Hakaw, so, I just asked their cashier and staff if I can request a small bowl of their "BEEF mami BROTH" which they handed me in a small styro 128522 It was better that the wanton broth so I ended up dipping all the noodles to the beef broth and finishing all the NOODLES and 4 wanton. Their bowl of mami was good for sharing for 2.

Their HAKAW P80 was not as savory as my previous visits. 4pcs of hakaw was transfered from a wooden steamer to a small plate so the texture is no longer perfect. The wrapper was already opened and I find the shrimps too small now.

I better visit their BENAVIDEZ ST. branch so I wont get dissapointed with my orders again 128517

I still love Wai Ying but maybe I'd skip this branch from now on. 9786

Staffs were friendly and accomodating and fast service. 128077🏻

Yummy and affordable grub. It was our first time trying hamsoikok and we loved it! Especially when we dipped it in their soy-chili-calamansi sauce. Crispy on the outside, glutinous and hollow on the inside and filled with sweet pork asado. Yum! 128077🏻9786️ We also ordered their hakaw and their amazingly refreshing cold HK milk tea. Now this is one drink I highly recommend.

Knocked a star off because they were already out of the other two items I wanted to try: their kuchay dumplings and chong fan 128532 When you've braved the streets of Manila (in the rain), gone through seedy underpasses, tried to keep a low profile while being paranoid of everything and everyone, you'd expect to find a full menu at Wai Ying. But it's all good in the hood.

I always hear how good Wai Ying is. I always wanted to try the one at Benavidez St. but we can't seem to find it. 128517 Funny thing is, I've always been at 168 but I never noticed that there's a Wai Ying there. So yehey! We tried their fried dumplings (you can ask for half order, which is 6pcs if you want to try small portions first) and siopao. I must say, both of them are flavorful, and I like their siopao sauce!

Since I seldom go to this area I tried their Specialty Roast Duck Rice and Roast Duck Mami.. 'twas very tasty, unfortunately, I didn't like the "lansa" of duck.. Not a fan of duck after all.. 128532 i'll just stick to the "balat" in the future. 9996128513

This is our reward for driving all the way to the busy streets of Binondo, bearing the traffic, walking on the skimpy aisles in the mall, while rubbing (sweaty) elbows, arms, hips, etc. with strangers, finding good deals, and carrying the heavy bags of divi items!

It is a must, for my husband and i, to eat here whenever we go to 168. I think eating here excites him more than finding good deals! Come to think of it, he doesn't like shopping. I guess it just makes it a lot easier for me to ask him accompany me to divi because of the duck! 128513

He does not like long lines and waiting... But when we are here, he does not seem to mind.

I really like their milk tea, it's perfect! Not too sweet. We usually get the roasted duck with yang chow fried rice and the beef noodles. Their hacao is one of our favorites too. I haven't tried the cupao yet. I read in previous reviews its also a must try! Now i know what else to get in our next order. 128540

Thanks looloo, i just found out there's one in EGI Mall, Taft Avenue. 128077

Roast duck rice in da haus! It was tasty and just right! Every time I'm in 168, I always make it a point to eat there. Lines can be long (and after having their dimsum and other goodies, you'll understand why.) Personal favorites would be the radish cake, hakaw, Hao fan. Super yummy!

Food is a lot! Big servings of Chinese fare. My Asado Rice topping is only 140pesos. Soyummy and had no fat on it. Just the way I like it. We also had big bowls of mami, siomai and hakaw. Hakaw was okay, plump shrimps but the wrapper was a bit falling off. Taste wise, its still good :)

Too bad that they only have a few locations. This gem is only found in Manila. They have good and cheap authentic Chinese food at the heart of divisoria. For the price of 300 pesos, two people can share a meal. Personally, I love their dimsum I don't know what kind it's called, we literally just pointed and had it with their fried rice. They also have an various sauces to choose from. Very good for your dimsum fix.
