Celebrated a day early Chinese New Year here in LC Mall. Ang daming tao and ang sikip naman talaga.

I ordered two kinds of Dimsum and this Fried Pancit with Togue. We were able to finish it, though it is too oily imo. 128513 Crispy naman and edible. Yet it was just okay.

Served cold! Sooo disappointed. This was the only thing I ordered here. I was so excited to eat this because I have not eaten a taro puff in years, as I get these from Luk Yuen and the Ayala branch was closed for years and has just recently opened. It still had that nice flaky crust, but the inside was cold. Only 70 pesos for 3 pcs, I thought it was such a steal. I ended up taking the 2 pieces home and I'm hoping it will reheat nicely.

This is in the malls food court. The dining area was clean.

Before heading to the cinemas, we grabbed some grub. Giving ourselves a break from the usual fries & burger combo, we gave this joint at the foodcourt of Lucky Chinatown Mall a try.

Lucky enough that for this visit their dimsums are offered at a promo price of Php 47 each instead of the regular price ranging from Php 70-90. Yay! Instead of ordering siomai, I got a single order of their hakaw (4 pcs) and Kuchay dumpling (3 pcs). However, I was surprised when the cashier asked me to pay Php 132 pesos. Di ako na-orient na hindi pala kasama ang hakaw sa mga naka-promo price 128557 🙄 Buti na lang masarap yung hakaw haha. On the other hand, nakakaumay yung kuchay dumpling 128566

If you ever find yourself at the foodcourt of lucky chinatown mall, give wanchai a try. This place serves affordable chinese food that tastes great that wont break the bank.

We ordered 'the usual' yang chow fried rice and sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork was well fried and flavourful. The sauce had the right balance of sweet and sour. The yang chow fried rice was a little mushy. I wouldve liked my fried rice to be less sticky. What makes our meal great is the absence of that MSG-hilo feel after usually eating chinese food. 128077🏻

Their dimsum cart is usually half-off for merienda between 2-5. A basket of dimsum costs just 47! Win.

It is the time of the year that Filipinos keep coming back and forth the Central Shopping District of the Phils...Divisoria! Or is it just me!?! 128540

And soo I'm happy to be back nga twice na since last week and I still couldn't get enough. 128513 It's really hard to complete the gift list. 128557

We'd always park here in LCT, and end up dining here as well before heading home. I noticed how much nag triple ang dami ng tao each day. There's no more space na walang tao! Much more in Foodcourt like this, wow ang dami ng customers.

Anyways, hubs ordered his food while I had this Kuchay from Wanchai, aba nagra rhyme. 9786
I first tried this few weeks ago. I am captured by the cart rolling around the Foodcourt , nakaka tempt bumili. Also, I saw a Chinese guy before buying this and since mahilig ako sa veggies isa pa it costs only 48 pesos!

They'd provide you with Calamansi, Toyo and Chili sauce. Yung first time, I asked for a cup of rice and ito yung ulam, ok na! Super Yummy!

Came with a big group during lunch time and the staff at Wang Chai were very accommodating. This was my first time eating from this place and it was a pretty pleasant experience. The food arrived on time, nothing was missing, there were enough utensils, table napkins, etc. They also gave us free tea and soup.

Among my favorites: Fried Squid with Salt and Pepper - it was amazing and undoubtedly the best I've ever had; The Butter Chicken was nice and crispy; The Fish Fillet with White Sauce had garlic in it which was a great addition; The Chopsuey was very tasty and the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the HK iced tea was the perfect beverage to wash down everything we ate.

All in all, if you're looking for cheap, decent, Chinese restaurant, especially for lunch, Wan Chai is definitely a place to consider. Prices are reasonable and they give you a good amount of food for what you pay for. Definitely coming back.

Cheers,
Mickey

Eight years ago, I was assigned to a patient in Benavidez St. Binondo. So the Main branch of Wanchai was just few steps away from the patient's house, meaning it used to be one of the places I go to whenever I'm hungry. 128522

Hubby and I were happy that they put up their mini stall here in Chinatown Mall, upstairs at the Foodcourt.

We tried their Hainanese Chicken complete with ginger and spicy oil plus this Lechon Kawali (not in the pic, paired with brown Oyster sauce that is soo good!)

Di ko lang gusto masyado yung rice, but over all, Thumbs up!!! 128077

I was hospitalized for a week and right after I got out I was craving for dim sum. Luckily, my officemates arranged a Saturday meetup at Binondo. I got excited and immediately joined them.

We ate at three different restaurants. However, I only took pictures at our last stop. A that is at Wanchai, Benavidez, Binondo, Manila for our dim sum party. The place is neat compared to other authentic Chinese restaurants at Binondo. The staff were polite and entertaining as well.

We were lucky enough to avail of their promo for some of their dim sum. I'm not familiar with the price cause I wasn't the one who paid but I think it's reasonable for 12 different set of dim sum and a large serving of Xiao Long Bao for the price of P700+ only. As for the taste? It's reasonable enough too. It's tasty and the ingredients are not artificially made like how some restaurants make it. Below is the list of the dim sum that we tried:
1. Chicken Feet (3 sets 'cause we loved it 128521)
2. Siomai (2 sets)
3. Hakaw (2 sets)
4. Spareribs
5. Bean Curd roll
6. Shark's fin
7. Beef Balls
8. A dumpling with a green veggie on it. It has veggies but it tasted divine. (This one, I don't know what it's called but we had 2 sets)
9. Xiao Long Bao

Rating my experience at Wanchai, I'd rate it at 9 out of 10 because I think I've tasted a better dim sum than what they served us. But don't get me wrong 'cause I loved our dim sum party in this place. 128522
