I've always wanted to try this place because a lot of people have been raving about it. Sadly, it did not live up to expectations. We tried their set meals which comes with rice, soup, and a glass of iced tea. We ordered Salted Egg Fried Chicken and Chinese Beef Steak and both dishes were forgettable. Their Hakaw, soup, and even their iced tea were just blah. I've had better. It was so disappointing.

Based on this experience I will not recommend this place but I'm willing to try it again in the future and order other dishes instead. Hopefully by then I'll finally get to experience what other people are raving about.

I've been here a few times and Wangfu is due for a review. This place is my go-to for convenient Chinese food cravings whenever I'm at UP town because of their set meal. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you'll get. Their set meal ranges from 180+ to 320+ depending on your choice. The best part isn't just the prices but mainly their set meals comes with a glass of red iced tea and unli rice and soup.

My boyfriend and I ordered General Tso’s Chicken (Php.198) and Crunchy Sweet and Sour Pork (Php.198) since we haven't tried those set meals before. Both dishes have comparable taste-sweet. For General Tso's Chicken, its deep-fried chicken bits are well cooked you can feel the crunchiness. Every bit are glazed with sweet sauce, gingery taste and somewhat lacks a spicy kick on it. It also have fresh broccoli on the sides that actually complimented the dish. Their Sweet and Sour pork also had a good crispy crunch and softness inside, layered by breading were you can still enjoy the meat and are glazed with a delicious sweet, tangy, mild sauce.

The service was adequate. Everyone that I've encountered has always been helpful in answering my questions about the food.
The food is ok for what you pay. The staff are pretty decent, but service has been relatively not speedy and you'll have a real wait. The decor is nice, spacious, asian-modern feel and its clean.

Overall, The food itself was good, nothing beyond amazing but tasty and definitely hit the spot and fulfilled my craving. A pretty solid restaurant to take care of your Chinese food fix. #Halloolooween2016

Looking for some Friday lunch at UP Town Center today I decided to see if Wangfu had some rice toppings since I was eating solo. I've eaten with my wife at their BGC branch a couple of times before and I like the food. I like their interpretation of the usual Chinese dishes and they offer some dishes that have a Chinese-American influence. This makes them unique for me.

They had several solo rice meal sets that come with unlimited rice and soup and an iced tea. I wanted to get the Hainanese Chicken set but, unfortunately, it was not available. I settled for the General Tso Chicken, my second choice. Now, this dish is a Chinese-American one and Wangfu is the only resto here that I know that offers this.

General Tso Chicken, which I first got to try in San Francisco's Chinatown decades ago, has a sweet and sour flavor, and goes well with a bowl of steamed rice. I didn't ask for extra rice but my tummy was well satisfied. It was a hearty meal.

My merienda birthday treat for the hubby last July 14.

Went to UPTC last July 14 and I treat the bday boy at Wangfu. This is our second time already at Wangfu. The place was spacious and has nice ambience. One of the best Chinese cuisine in UPTC.

We had hakao, yang chow fried rice , Thai milk tea which is refreshing and his bday won't be complete without the bday noodles, the reason why I liked it is because of the quail eggs.

Bill cost around 1k only. Happy tummy for the birthday boy .

Loved their colorful chopsticks too.

Food: Would DEFINITELY recommend Crunchy Sweet and Sour Pork with Lychee. For the price of Php 288, it's totally worth it.
We also ordered Beef with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce (Php 328). For Php 328, I'd say it's quite pricey because it has only few serving. Their Hainanese Chicken (Php 488 1/2 and Php 888 whole) tastes good. As well as the spareribs (Php 88) and siomai (Php 88). Their Yangchow fried rice (Php 228) is good for 4-5 persons already.

Place: Quite small but you just need to find a perfect spot so you'd be all relax

Price: It's reasonable cause their food really tastes good.

Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here. Went out of the store with a really full stomach. You should try this place whenever you visit UP Town 128522128077🏻

Food is good and filling.

We ordered chicken and corn soup, japanese tofu with pork floss and century egg (really yummy), salted egg fried chicken (loved this!), tausi fish fillet, and an assortment of dimsum.

Service is quick. Staff is attentive and courteous.

For less than 1K, we were able to order Salt and Pepper Squid, Singaporean Satay Bihon, French Beans and Salted Egg Fried Chicken. The food was good, but the service was little slow.

For 228php, their set meals are really affordable!

I ordered the Salted Egg Fried Chicken and I really liked it. The crispness of the chicken with the salted egg taste were really a hit for me. It's just a bit dry so I opted to get some sauce from my cousins' other orders.

Each of their set meals come with unlimited soup and rice plus a tofu side dish.

zao shang hao, ba ba127860 means Good morning,

Had dinner last Saturday with my family at Wangfu Chinese Bistro. It was really raining hard that night and were hungry. So I decided to bring them to Wangfu so we could eat a comfort food perfect for rainy day.

I've heard a lot of this place. I think Richard Yap aka Sir Chief is the owner of this popular resto. It's first branch was big located at Il Terazzo in Timog Q.C near ABS-CBN and you can spot many celebrities there,

This is our first Wangfu experience and glad it's near to our place. We were third on the list and finally after 10-15 mins of waiting we got our seats.

Here are the food that we ordered:
Yang chow fried rice - 228 pesos
Half bday noodles- 288 pesos
Sweet and sour pork - 258 pesos
Tausi fish fillet - 228 pesos
Salt and pepper squid - 228 pesos.
Crystal ball - 98 pesos
Hakaw- 158 pesos
Plain rice (3) - 58 pesos each

Total amount bill; 1,808.23
With service charge of 148.23

The service is a bit slow but it's worth the wait, the place has a very nice ambiance and not a typical ordinary Chinese cuisine. I like the colored chopsticks they have there if you want to use it. Most of the food were good for sharing. We're 5 in the group and there were still a lot to be left home because were really full and satisfied. The amount is affordable for me and expecting it will cost 2,000 plus.

My family and I enjoyed the food, my suggestion is that they should make the service a little more faster then ill give 5 stars. 128077127860

Salted egg chicken dish with japanese tofu, unli rice & soup. Not bad at all for around P190! I wasn't even able to finish the cup of rice that was part of the meal! 128523

We also ordered some dumplings and seafood crunchy noodles. Noodles can be for sharing! We were two yet we weren't able to finish the noodles. 128512

Overall, I can say that the ambience is great, service is efficient, place is clean, & delicious and affordable Chinese food. Hope to try their other dishes soon!

Ok, this is the first time eating in a Chinese restaurant for like years. I love everything we ordered. Yangchow rice, the salted fried chicken and i forgot the other one. Good thing that we decided to "shop around" first before settling to a resturant in UP Town Center, there's just too many options!

Will definitely go back and try all their dishes! Beware though, servings are big!!! A must try restaurant!

Tried Wangfu for lunch at UP Town Center. Had the Sharks Fin (P98.00), Beancurd roll (P88.00), Bacon Roll (P328.00), Scallop Fried Rice (P248.00), 6pc. Cereal Prawn (P498.00), Polonchay (P188.00), W. Iced tea (P78.00) and Cold Calamansi (P78.00). The iced tea tasted funny and they never indicated that the cereal prawn had some spices included. The rest were manageable but the true best seller for this critic was the bacon roll. It was crunchy and tasty it could be paired with the rice or Polonchay. The Scallop Fried Rice was bountiful and had lots of toppings. Music was Chinese and the seats were comfy. Staffs and trainees roam to check on the customers. Not bad but nothing too memorable either.

I've been curious about Wangfu ever since it opened in UPTC and I'm so glad I finally got to try it out! Haha I ordered the Hainanese Chicken personal set, shared the seafood crispy fried noodles with my friend, and tasted a bit of the Chinese style beef steak (lol matakaw much).

All personal sets (160-260 pesos yata) come with this tofu concoction thing (think silken Japanese tofu with sauce and floss), unlimited rice and soup, and the viand. I really the taste of my chicken, but I wish they gave me the breast cuz my piece was quite bony. The tofu was really good too HAHA I wish that came in unlimited amounts too.

The Chinese beef steak is basically beef with sweet & sour sauce. Masarap naman siya!! The beef was very tender hehehe.

My favorite was the seafood crispy fried noodles!!! 10084️ Very big serving and they were super generous with the seafood (squid, fish and squid) cause the pieces were so large!

We were nine, and our total bill was 1900, with service charge. :) I had a couple of Chinese friends with me, and they approved of the food! Hehe definitely going back to Wangfu!

I just wish the tables weren't so cramped together! Hahaha the place needs more walking space. :)

Overall Rating: 3.5
Place: 3

We thought Wangfu would be interesting to try, and while we were satisfied, we didn't taste anything special with their food.

I found their place a bit messy and crowded. Some staff were very accommodating, while one of them was quite vexing.

As for their food, the pictures in their menu are way more appetizing than the actual. And the serving is so little compared to the pictures. Deceiving, you guys. 128584

But fairly, their dishes were fine. This one in the photo is their lechon macau and yes, the skin was crunchy and yummy but it could have been better if the meat was juicier. Everything else was so-so. Good thing the prices are reasonable.

Had a dinner with my HS BFF, her husband and baby boy. Last Monday of the year 2014, thank God their food was good but the place were a bit small to accommodate all the goers in the town center.
