When in comes to food, I am one confused puppy. Half of me lives by the words. "... there is comfort in the familiar.", while the other half says "... you have not lived 'til you've tried it". So, with these two conflicting thoughts, I walk into Wee Nam Kee ready to order my usual Hainanese Chicken. At the last second I switched to Roasted Hainanese Chicken (adventurous ba?! 128521) and Cereal Prawns, then rationalized my "familiar habit" with Kai Lan with Garlic.

To my delight, the chicken was as good and tender as my usual order but with the wonderfully tasteful treat of roasted chicken skin! Dabbed with a mix of dark hoisin sauce, shredded ginger and chili, I would dare say that this was better than the usual boiled Hainan chicken. 128523128523128523

Despite the fact that I could not see the prawns under all the cereal, I was happy to find 5 large plump prawns perfectly seasoned and lightly fried. No oily taste at all! (I think the cereal absored it all) 128523128523128523

The kai lan (or Chinese kale) was fresh and crisp. Nicely steamed and topped with garlic. The leaves and stalks were nicely green and cut into perfect serving sizes. Garlic was plentiful and a good counterpoint to the kale.

I left Wee Nam Kee happy and satisfied but still pondering over the question, "... familiar or adventure?" 128540128540128540

Our favorite dinner fix whenever we are in ATC. Last time, we ordered the ff.

1. Steamed Hainanese Chicken - Our favorite. Comes with hainanese rice and the traditional sauces. Chicken is steamed vey well

2.) Classic Mixed Vegetables - The vegetables were fresh and crispy. It had huge amounts of broccoli

3.) Mixed Seafood and Tofu in Traditional Claypot - the variation of the seafood is very good. It had squid, shrimps, steamed fish and clams/oysters. It was not salty and it tastes really good

4.) Tofu Roasted Pork with Black Beans - Liked the tenderness of the pork and the sauce was not overpowering

5.) Shredded Chicken Crispy Noodles - Noodles were good and the toppings were many. However, it was a bit salty for my taste

Serving size is big considering the price of the dishes. Overall, we liked the taste of each dish. Sometimes service is a little bit slow. We had to follow up our order for three times until it finally arrived.

My family decided to.go to this restaurant after church service. We ordered their Roasted Chicken, Honey Garlic Spareribs, Seafood Crispy Noodles, and Wee Nam Kee Fried Rice. The food was good but there's nothing special. But definitely this will not be the last time we'll eat here.

Ordered their signature dish called steamed hainanese yellow chicken.127831 I find it just okay. The food is not bad but not extraordinary. The mantou bread with condensed milk was too sweet for me.

It's been a long time since I had Hainanese Chicken Rice here. So after some pondering, I gave in. I just must have their rice! 128514 But I'd like to pat myself on the back for not getting an extra order of it. Hahaha

The chicken wasn't that warm when it was served. Just the right temperature. My family and I also had some noodles and fried treat to go with it. Forgot their names 'coz I was too focused on my personal set that time. 128523

Fast becoming one of our favorite places to eat. Fish curry and yellow chicken were great. Staff service is consistently good.

Our first time here. We tried their Roast and Steamed Chicken Rice Sets. Great food and price is very reasonable. Also, their Butterflied Tilapia with Chili Crab Sauce was delicious! Service was fast and staff were very friendly. Our dining experience was so good, we plan to visit this place often. My first 5 star rating!

very dark thick sauce and typical chinese birthday canton. there's a lot of quail egga and mushrooms.

sweet and sour fish fillet.
yep. it's not mixed. thick breading of the fish.. fish was cooked well. the sauce was quite not enough for the fish. the breading was crispy yet fluffy.

salt and pepper spare ribs.
sabi q nanga ba. maalat alat. but tender.

roast chicken
hey.. why not order hainanese... ayaw ng sister q. the roast chicken was cooked well.. way too ordinary. i suggest you go for hainanese tlga...

crab rice.
i see crab. i see crab meat. i chewed on a piece of crab shell. aww... but no matter how how many crabs i see... i cant taste that significant crab taste!

cool bright place..
servers were also commendable.. service was quite long

Had the roasted personal plate. Service was good and food was good - I even had 3 bowls of soup. Given that it was lunchtime (even if it was a Monday), I'm surprised I was attended to and taken care of in less than 10 minutes. Definitely will go back here some time soon!

Celebrated my titos birthday and he treated us for lunch. Our Tita actually decided on the restaurant but me and my wife ordered ( nice one babe)!
We ordered an order each of half steamed and roasted Singaporean chicken, salted egg fried chicken, salt and pepper pork ribs, fried rice, garlic kailan, crispy squid and cereal prawns which my wife loves but sadly it never arrived. Hence 4 stars.
The food was very good indeed. My uncle said the price was great for what we ordered... 3 senior citizens! FTW!!!
I'll definitely be back!

Dinner with family here last sunday. Mom actually wants at Northpark but i insisted here so they can try. We had 2 orders of Wee Nam Kee fried rice, 2 Chicken rice for the kids, Sambal Squid, Honey Garlic pork, Salted Egg Chicken and Beef with Brocolli. Place was packed when we got here but luckily we got seated right away. Their complimentary soup was served first while waiting and it's really good! Order came after 30 mins and were all starving. We all love our orders specially their beef with brocolli and Salted Egg Chicken best pair with the fried rice. But we don't like much the Honey Garlic Pork its too sweet we dont even got to taste the garlic on it. Staff were accomodating and it was a good meal but their service was somehow slow even my previous dined here.

Sundate w fambam after our CCF sunday service....

Kids wanted to go to Commercenter for Chuckribs again....

I wanted to go to Zong's ...

Wifey didnt care...so to avoid arguments...decided ATC instead

And Wee Nam Kee was on the top of our list...

Ordered ff
Cereal prawns
Hainanese chicken (personal)
Wee nam kee porkchop
Sambal squid
Pork bouquet
Chicken in a pot
Fried rice
Salted egg chicken
2 mantau
2 sodas

Total bill P2.8k

All were the usual good dish we love except for the new items we tasted..

The wee nam kee porkchop was forgettable, porkchop topped w sweet n sour sauce...

Chicken in a pot was plain and tasted ordinary,

Service was ok

AC was hot as accdg to them the whole area w centralized AC was under maintenance.

Hope they're now paying the right taxes. 128556

With all their tax shortcoming. Their food are definitely not.

Mixed seafoods and tofu and combination of roast and steamed chicken.

We had our lunch here and surprisingly it was not jam packed on a weekend. Or maybe we just had our lunch late in the afternoon. The place was not too sosyal, but not jeje. They offered hot Jasmine Green Tea and Chicken soup while waiting.

We ordered the following dishes and were extremely satisfied on it!

1. Mixed Seafood & Tofu in Traditional Claypot - Happy pot! All were perfectly cooked and lightly flavored.

2. Hainanese Chicken (Small; Combination of Roasted and Steamed) - It was oozing with flavors! I love it even more when condiments such as ginger is added.

3. Broccoli (Stir Fried in Garlic) - Just to have a healthy veggie on our table. Crisp and fresh!

4. Wee Nam Kee Fried Rice - What would go wrong on Wee Nam Kee's version of Yang Chow?! Love it! Sulit sa sahog!

Our bill was around 1.1k. We were only three, yet we still had something for take home.

Fam wanted to eat out after being confined in the house due to GLENDA...

ATC was partially lit and had some airconditioning in the new wing area.

Was supposed to eat at Ikkuryo but service staff was babbling about my request in joining adjacent tables as we were 6pax...

So decided to spend our money to better serviced restos...

Wifey suggested Wee nam kee as its been a long time since we ate here and so it was...

Ordered ff
Crispy seafood noodle
Sambal squid
Hainanese chicken -personal size
2 chicken noodle
Fried rice
Cereal prawns
Honey pork tenderloin

Total bill---P2,050k for 6pax w Senior discount.

Service was good--staff were attentive and gave us service tea upon sitting

Food was good as well though am not a fan of singaporean cuisine

Value for money is acceptable

After my singapore trip a few years ago, i kept looking for the right resto which served the "best" hainanese chicken. That resto is Wee Nam Kee, especially the Alabang branch. Chicken was tastlefully done, not too strong, just right! Really had that sg taste.

The pounded ginger was a godsend too, i had to request for more since i emptied the one placed in my table. Hehe.

You may want to try the cereal prawns and the beef and brocolli. Sarap la!
