I always run to Wee Nam Kee every time I crave for Hainanese Chicken that I don't get the chance to order their other dishes. So I just found out earlier, during a sponsored event, that they have this Salted Egg Chinese Style Fried Chicken that's really, really good!

But wait, there's more! Wee Nam Kee just introduced four new dishes that will be part of their Holiday Offerings.

🔹Laksa Lava Fish Cake. It had a very subtle curry and coconut tastes so I actually liked it. 128517

🔹Braised Beef Brisket with Potatoes. This tastes good but the meat chunks were tough.

🔹Chili Soft Shelled Crab. Our table didn't get to taste this because we chose the cereal version but this is supposed to be both sweet and spicy.

🔹Cereal Soft Shelled Crab. This is my favorite. Battered and deep fried soft shelled crab coated in breakfast cereals tossed in butter cereals. Whew!128517 The texture and taste were just perfect.

These dishes are available for a limited time only so make sure you try them out before the year ends.

P.S. Please order the Cereal Soft Shelled Crab. Let's make it a best-seller so it stays permanently on the menu. 128518

I'd go back here for the buns and pork slices but as for their specialty that is the yellow chicken, i'd say I like Tao Yuan's hainanese chicken better. But since that might be slightly two different things, I therefore realized that maybe their version must be good too and I just happen to like the white chickens more. So I'll just try their hainanese next time. I found their version of the yellow more flavorful and meaty too but a little tougher compared to a white chicken btw. I didn't like their ginger much since it feels old and lacked the strong flavor I want in it. Plus, I hate ready sauces like that, I get oc about other people touching and using it before me. Lol. Baka dumikit na sa sauce nila! Lol

The pork slices something and the bun was delicious though, I might be biased since I love mantous but I'd say they make a good one :) as for the appetizer, forget about it like how I don't remember anything about it now. 128517

Even tho we pressured the waiter and the cook to serve the food in just minutes since we were in a hurry for a movie screening, they were able to comply flawlessly! They served it within 8-10 minutes! Amazing!

Backlogging.. 128513

My sister and I went here during Valentines Day for our dinner.. We wanted to eat something asian so we decided to try Wee Nam Kee!!

What we had for dinner is their Roasted Chicken which is their best seller which comes with crushed ginger as well as soy sauce, and chili sauce that you can blend with, it was huge so we weren't able to finish the whole thing.. I was excited to try it but then I got disappointed coz it was already cold it was like taken out from the fridge then heat it up on a microwave..

I bet it would be better if its served hot we probably finished the Roasted Chicken.

Then we had the Honey Garlic Spareribs which I really appreciated since it was really good!! It was sweet and salty at the same time..

Money wise it was affordable. Good for sharing too. The crew were very attentive and welcoming.. 128522

Wee Name Kee is a great pitstop for Hainanese chicken in the city.

We had sweet and spicy crispy baby squid as appetizer which i love. The famous Hainanese chicken, We ordered half steam and half roasted, fish fillet in tamarind sauce (hubby's favorite), salted fish fried rice and seafood fried noodles. All are quit satisfying meal and we end up bundat after our saturday dinner.

Overall i would say we enjoyed our meal.

I and my friend were craving for Singapore's famous chicken rice so I suggested we dine here for lunch. We each had a personal set and an order of their crispy seafood noodles.
It was a set meal and I guess sort of sulit for its price given the portion of chicken, the rice was bitin for me sorry 128055. Anyway she said it taste similar naman but for me nothing beats the original. The noodles we didn't able to eat it all but it had a hefty amount of prawn and squid which was worth the price. Service was good, the servers were nice and smiling.

I'm just sad that its my 100th review and I forgot to take a picture128562

Boyfie and I were at Greenhills last Sunday to cap off our Valentines day weekend... We were tempted to try Tampopo or Katsu Sora, but we decided to revisit an old favorite, Wee Nam Kee... 128156

I define comfort food as that which is sure to satisfy and put one in a more relaxed state of mind, whatever the cuisine... My comfort foods range from pizza to nachos to XLB... Wee Nam Kee honey crispy squid and cereal prawns are part of that long list... The quality of their food has not wavered through the years... I still remember the hype this resto caused when it first opened in Ayala Triangle years back... People came from all over just to check out their offerings; admittedly I was one of them... Though their claim to fame is their Hainanese chicken rice, their squid and prawns remain to be my favorite- and that is saying something because I don't usually order seafood...

These two dishes work together as well. The honey crispy squid has a strong sweet saltiness to it, while the prawns have a muted flavor in comparison... The cereal bits from the prawns temper the squid even more. The squid gives the crunch while the prawns offer no resistance in each bite... Quite a good balance between opposites! 128077

Reasonably priced restaurant, with years of quality food and service under its belt... Their many branches all over the metro make it more accessible to those who want to keep coming back... 128074128523
