My friend and I had an event to attend to next door at Max's but we were a bit early and also kind of hungry already. As such, we decided to kill some time and calm the hunger pangs here (A decision we would later regret).

We got a slice each of their chocolate caramel cake and their mango cake. We also got one of their supposed best sellers (according to ate at the counter), a bacon cheese bread thing (?). I've already forgotten what it's called. But for good reason! It was old, cold, tasteless and definitely unsatisfying. How it's supposedly a "best seller", I have no idea. The cakes were okay. I liked the chocolate one better than the mango one, although it got too cloying after a while. They were nothing special.

Service was pretty slow and everyone seemed kind of sad. Also, for some reason, in the middle of our meal, a waiter comes up to us and hands us ANOTHER bacon cheese bread thing. We politely informed him that there must've been a mistake since our orders were already complete. He got confused then just turned around and left. As he walked away with the other piece of bread, I wanted to tell him please take the one we have, too! Huhuhu it's no good! Also, there were insects buzzing around the food. Nope, not coming back anytime soon.

I will be lying if I will rate this with 3 or more stars.
We were here to inquire about their birthday package and while here, we ordered the bread platter and crispy adobo pizza.
The crunchiness of the toasted bread that we are about to dip in the salsa were inconsistent, some were crunchy (smaller ones) and some were not ( bigger slices) there were 3 kinds of dip: salsa ( almost good, but not quite), "tartar- like" dip- which I don't really understand what it was, and liver pate.. I think... Yuk! I almost vomitted!
We ordered for a chocolate cake thinking that this is their specialty because they are "baking". Very sad choc cake, tasted like clay.
I understand that there is an upcoming event later this day, but I was surprised when the one in charge with the events sent us one waitress to talk with after SHE( in charge with the events) kept us waiting for quite a long time.
Waitress ready with receipts and calculator told us that pencil booking is not allowed. All my questions were answered with " Ang alam ko po ay..... Itanong ko na lng po sa knya mmya" and I was told to make a deposit of 13,500 for the package I wanted. Despite the several questions addressed to GER, SHE did not come to us to answer any inquiry... This is sad....if this is the kind of service I will have for my daughter's party, It might turn out to be a disaster.. We are not only buying food here, we are making a memory... A good memory, i hoped.. But you lost us, I was upset, we came from Racks and the manager was superb, HE can be rated as 10 and Wheatberry's manager(?) 0! Sorry to the waitress, I know it's not your job to answer my inquiry because you were only sent by your higher up... I know you did your best.

Tried this one not for desserts but for dinner. I forgot the exact names of what we ordered but definitely my friends had chicken pesto in penne pasta and the other's lasagna. Mine was seafood spaghetti but I asked them to lessen the spiciness.

Price was fair enough for the portion of the food. Taste was also above average. Place was definitely very nice. The interiors are melancholic and they also have an al fresco dining with a romantic ambience.

Their desserts though were very enticing to eat! However I was on a strict diet that time so I somehow begged off ordering some. Will definitely go back to try their famous pastries!

It's my first time to try this place, only by chance since a friend is looking for a venue for her son's birthday. They have a variety of bread and cakes on display and dulce de leche cheesecake caught my eye. The cake tastes fine overall but I find it too sweet and the cheesecake itself is not that smooth.

We also ordered clubhouse sandwich which is just alright. Their take on the classic bolognese is pretty tasty but nothing extraordinary.

It's located on the farther side of Scout Castor near Max's and Zuchinni's

Prices range from 150-300 on solo orders and sandwiches.

After school activities yesterday, we had dinner at this place. My eldest order korean beef with rice, my unica hija had fish and chips and the bunso just wanted the chocolate cake with mini marshmallows and the mommy had the chicken pot pie. Food was alright, didn't break the bank. We're still on course with our 2015 plan of eating good food and not really spending much 128512 happy tummies and happy savings 128521

One saturday evening, we decided to have our coffee here. I have tried their pastries and coffee before and it was okay but that night. 128584

Their sylvannas was good and the green tea soy latte But but but!

The iced latte I ordered was a disaster. But infairness to them naman, when I said its bland they replaced it and they removed the ice (its not supposed to be like that since it's an iced latte, pero hinayaan ko na)

But still but still but still.....

Walang lasa!! No taste!!
Its as if you made a powdered milk drink yourself and put a lot of ice. But I found a more definite taste to this (its my opinion, im just saying and this is my review). It's as if it's an instant coffee gone cold & tasteless.

So there, I told the staff about it and did not ask for a refund or replacement.

And with that, I'm sorry, you lost me. :(

I'd never been to Wheatberry but I've read all about their Dulce de Leche cheesecake on looloo. When I went there earlier for a meeting, I thought I'd finally get to try the legendary dessert. My mouth watered as I stared at it through the display glass.

I promptly ordered a slice from the waitress. When she returned a few minutes later she told me they were offering select cakes by the slice but the cheesecake was not one of them. I looked at the whole cheesecake and said, "but it's right there..." She repeated the cakes that they were selling by the slice. I looked at the cake slices and they looked sad. "Never mind," I told her.

I'm probably not going back. Y'all can keep your damn cheesecake! 128544

Just right across Nomama in QC is this quaint cafe and dessert place.

It looked inviting from the outside so my friends and I just walked right in.

I can't write much about this one because I was ultimately disappointed. It's sad that my friends and I ordered an assortment of desserts and all were fail. Their cakes & pastries tasted like it has been there for days. I had mocha silvanas & I think the Silvanas from Burger Machine was even better. Their strawberry milk shake tasted like sour milk. Their iced coffee was like 3 in 1 with ice. Service was sloooow.

I am hoping that we just chanced upon this on a bad day. But sorry, I'm not going to give it a second chance. 128532
