Went to Puerto Galera last weekend (Oct 24-25) to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary.

We stayed at the luxurious Buri Resort and Spa. After we had lunch we called the front desk of Buri to ask if how much is going to White Beach and she said 1,600 per way. When you go to Buri all the mode of transportation will be boat and we ask for a cheaper alternative , she said we need to go back to Muelle Port and it will only cost us 250 per way so two way is only 500 pesos so we grab it ASAP! We told them to book us a boat right away and Mang Rey will bring us there again. If we go beyond 6pm the price will be doubled so we immediately left Buri.

After 15 mins boat travel we landed again in Muelle Port then we ride a tricycle that will bring us at the White Beach. Tricycle cost 150 per way. It took us 15 mins to reach the White Beach.

When we reach the White Beach it's not as good as the White Beach of Boracay, it's a smaller version and cheaper version. We walked straight and survey the area. There were a lot of restaurants and it's not as cheap as you think. A bit pricey too but more cheaper in Boracay. No fast food here except for one , check out my next review.

Hubby is not a beach person nor I. I just go here to but souvenirs for my family and relatives. That's what I love doing. Bought shirts, keycahins, ref magnets , tote bags, etc, we even bought swimwear coz we forgot to bring out so we can use it at Buri. Souvenir prices are affordable and people are nice.

The highlight here is the watersports. We enjoyed people who try those while under the sunset, it's a beautiful view by the way, diving is one water sports here that you shouldn't miss and parasailing.

The place is not bad after all but I'm not a beach girl I'm a souvenir shopper 128522

White Beach hotel resto - took more than 45minutes for a dish to be served, you need to pay for the ice and water. Food is ordinary. Not much to explain here... Not recommended.

Rooms are okay, like budget room okay. Got small half-hp powered a/c unit, small tv, bathroom, single sized bed, complimentary soap, scrublike towel, the usual things you'll see in a motel, I mean, in budget-wise resort rooms. 128520

Liked their pork sinigang. One serving can be shared. Tummy hurts after from eating too much. Got lots of leftover from my officemates and thought it be a waste. (Now, why do i always reveal in my post that i'm accepting leftover food?)

Loved the taste of their pork kebab but I guess they overdone it... Chewy, like bubblegum chewy. Again, the left overs were chopped smaller taken back to our rooms as pulutan later.

Yes, and its corkage free! Drinking and bringing in alcoholic drinks is allowed for those who are in a tight budget, which can also be bought from sarisari stores and grocery 500m-1km away. Just don't forget to tone down on the noise as courtesy to others 128564 in nearby rooms.

If you plan to go here, I suggest that you go on lean season because this is jam packed during summer, probably, because it's cheaper than Boracay, near to Manila, travel by land and pump boat going to the island coming from Batangas Port.
Meals here ranges from P100-200, fresh seafoods and fruits always winner!
Bars are limited but stand up comedians and fire dancers made the night fun & colorful!

There are many stalls selling souvenir, doing henna tattoo and real tattoo too. Scuba diving and snorkeling is popular here that's why some stalls are giving basic tutorials for free on a limited time128516.

A good place to take a break from my busy and stressful world!

Best time to go there is regular season for the place is very congested during peak. The sand is fine but not white, water isnt clear also. Lots of restos and grilled houses to eat, budget is around 200 per meal. There are some activities but we dont bother to avail since we just want to chill and relax. Not so good night life though, only 3-4 bars are open. I think the place is good for couples.

I liked that we paid P4k for a room with 3 double-sized beds with an extra mattress. All good for 8 people. I liked that the room was on the rooftop, so we had the roof all to ourselves. The view was beautiful. I liked that they had a water heater (not that we needed it). I liked that they let us check out at 3pm when it's posted everywhere that check out is at 11:30am.

Minus 1 star for the A/C, though. I don't know if it was because of the intense heat outside, but their A/C was pretty warm even after we maxed out its settings.

I DIDN'T like that their restaurant service was pretty slow and rude. While I understood that the waitress assigned to our table was the only one responsible for taking our orders, telling the chefs our orders, making our drinks, giving us utensils, etc., I didn't like that she forgot a few of the items we ordered. I didn't like that when we followed up on my friend's calamansi juice, she asked if we wanted something else because she had no time to make it. I didn't like that they advertised fast cooking and fast service, but our food took forever to serve.
