Salt Restaurant

A pretentious Asian Restaurant.
Their Japanese Chicken Bento box doesn't even have a single drop of kewpie mayo! And what was usually a kani salad in a bento meal was just varying cuts of lettuce and onions. Oh and half a teaspoon of sauce for the chicken. It's really depressing to even look at, so I didn't even bother to take a pic.

I think we were really just unfortunate that time, since some of the orders of those with me was not taken by their server, and secondly, they didn't even have the courtesy to tell us that the dessert we ordered was not available. So to compensate for letting us wait for a non-existent dessert, they offered to serve the pastries from their Lounge (just outside the Salt Restaurant) but I didn't bother to order anymore, as I still feel sorry for my taste buds because of their "bento box".

At The Lounge

The Oreo Cheesecake is creamy and not too sweet which is perfect for my taste buds. The cappuccino is 2.5/5, nothing really special.

The Lounge used to close by 11pm but now you can enjoy pastries 24/7. :)

Just about 1-2 hours drive from Manila is a place for some rest and recreation. Widus Hotel and Casino is a good place for family, both kids and adults will enjoy.

We stayed in Tower 1 which has 2 beds (1 queen and 1 single), mini kitchen, mini living room (where the sofa can be converted into a bed and includes a pull-out as extra bed, and balcony with the view of the pool. The room is big enough and can accommodate about 6 adults.

The kids can enjoy the pool and other recreational activities inside Clark Freeport such as Clark Museum, Air Force Park, and Nayong Pilipino to name a few. Adults can enjoy the casino and the golf course as well. You can also enjoy duty free shopping inside Clark.

When it comes to food, there are a variety of choices. They gave the Malt which caters the daily breakfast, the Prism bar for some lounging and drinks and Peppers for some steak.

I recommend staying here especially whenever there are events happening around Clark or Lubao like the Hot Air Balloon Festival. 128077🏼

Sorry for the bite, just too excited to have a taste of this Salted Caramel Cronut.

So far, this is the 2nd best cronut (next to Wildflour) for me. You can get it from The Lounge. The cafe closes at 12mn and they offer 20% off on cakes and pastries and 50% off on doughnuts and ensaymadas.

Nice and affordable (we only went for the pool 128540) place! Super friendly and accommodating staff!

We also went here for the buffet months ago. I didn't like it :( I suggest eating somewhere else instead. But the cheesecake in their lounge is one of the best, if not the best, I've had. I also recommend their Virgin Piña Colada!

Price for their deluxe room is 6000 while executive is 7500. Breakfast for 2 is included and the buffet consist of chinese dumplings, filipino breakfast, baked crunchy bacon, veggies, there's also an omellette/egg station, steamed fish, pancakes, breads, and a froyo machine with variety of toppings. The pool is also picture perfect. They have basement parking and valet, they have a casino at the hotel lobby that is not so ideal for those with asthma because of the cigar smoke. The room is spacious and one thing that i love about it is theres a bedside outlet for charging your phone. You can also go shopping at a nearby puregold duty free.

Still in Widus due to ITIP Convention and making a review out of pure boredom @-)

So far with our stay in this hotel, we get to experience positive feedback. We weren't able to experience waiting during check-in since it was all ITIP's care.

Staffs were very accommodating. Every time we would call housekeeping, it will only take a few minutes for them to reach our room. Every time we pass by a hotel staff, they would always greet us for the visitors to feel welcome. It really goes to show that they were well trained. I even interviewed a practicumer since I was bored with the event. I found out that the owner of the hotel is a Korean. The meaning of Widus is "with us". Cool no? 128514

With the rooms, it was spacious. 2 queen beds were there. In one queen bed, 2 people can actually fit. What more pa pag king size 128514. The veranda has two views, it's either you're facing the garden or the pool. (If facing the pool, a worthy IG shot 128077)

What i didn't like about the hotel was that it was expensive !! That was why in our first day, we didn't have dinner in the hotel.

Overall, it was a great experience. Staffs were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and very inviting to stay all night. I would surely love to go back and experience it leisure time 128522

Rooms are spacious, service is quick, and there's a pleasant citrus scent wherever you go! Plus, any staff member you meet (bell boy, waitress, housekeeper, and the like) will NEVER fail to greet you a, "Good morning!" or a, "Good evening!" when you bump into them around the hotel! Food in their restaurant called Salt is also good, and I thoroughly enjoyed their Executive meal, which is a 3-course meal for only 350 pesos! Super sulit.

Downside is that their function rooms are on a separate hall, and you'd have to take a shuttle or walk under the scorching heat just to get there from the hotel. Another thing is that their receptionists aren't the most pleasant people around. I do not like their insistence on having to have to check out at 11am (!!) when you've negotiated for a late check out. Otherwise, I like this hotel and I wouldn't mind to go back here :)

Stayed here for the long weekend, and I've heard it's sort of new (at 5 months old), but I have to mention that the service was really a bad experience! According to their site, 2pm check in and 12nn check out (which is a hotel international standard FYI) but when we got there, they said check in was at 3pm, and check out at 11am. Besides that, at 3pm we were told to wait 10-15 minutes because the room was still being cleaned up! How did that go? We got checked in at 430pm! At that point when we were waiting, their "grand lobby" had NO SEATS at all. Everyone was loitering and there were no welcome drinks or anything to make those waiting calm down. The shift manager was so difficult to get in touch with also! They allowed us to check out at 1pm without the "late checkout fee" which they say they allow at250 pesos.

Moving forward, the room which we got was a family junior suite. It was really nice, bug beds and even a nice sofa set for the family. There was a kitchen area and a counter, really great for the experience! No problems with that part if our stay, gladly.

Now, the buffet breakfast had a wide range of selection, which was really good. There was even a shabu-shabu area, waffle area, dimsum area, yogurt area and so much more. Down side is that they don't seem to have a control measure in the restaurant. When Salt Resto was full, they had to make guests stay at Prism lounge instead. And people could just walk in cause the front desk would just ask for your room number without noting it and tell you to wait.

All in all, the good facilities couldn't compensate for the bad service. The people at front desk shouldn't have put in front their trainee at peak hours if I may add, and the shift manager should have been avoiding. Something complementary would've been nice too, but they couldn't even give that. Hope they could improve, though because the place could seem to be a really great one if services were as good.

I'm staying at a Junior Suite which includes a king size bed and a single bed (what) and there's also a sofa with a pull out bed beside it. And the pool's really good, not that crowded. The gym has a flat screen tv with enough equipments and ac. 2 persons for breakfast and 4 persons for pool usage. 8k for the stay but since my dad's a member we got it for 5k. It can fit 6 people and I think it's really sulit!

We stayed here last summer, around April 2013. The services and amenities available include a swimming pool, gym, spa, room service, free wifi, etc.

For dining, you may choose from Salt Resto, Widus Coffee, Prism Lounge and Malt Bar and Coffee Shop. I was able to dine at Salt Resto for the complimentary breakfast. It was good, with a wide variety of food! We also visited Widus Coffee for our coffee and dessert fix in the afternoon/night. Widus Coffee’s tiramisu is a must-try!

Overall, our stay was really enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Clark!

Room is big with balcony, bathroom is a bit outdated though. Front desk staff upon check in was a hassle, had to get mad to get our room. Other service like room boys and restaurant staff was attentive and pleasant.

If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay in Clark...I would likely recommend Widus Resort and Casino.

This may not be the cheapest hotel in the area but their facilities are excellent...most especially their pool. Their hotel rooms are also very spacious.

Breakfast buffet is oh so yummy although choices are very few as compared to same-caliber hotels I've been to. Room service menu is relatively cheap.

Staffs are also very courteous and helpful.
