Another coffee night with my sister.
We wanted to try my zomato gold membership. Since we're just having coffee, we availed of their 1+1 drinks promo and got the Vietnamese Latte.
Taste is as good a i remembered, it's sweeter than usual but just the right twist to make it stand out from their other coffee offers. For just Php 200 + service charge, we each had a large sized drink. Can't wait to try out my gold membership in other partner restos!
Ambience is great at late night with it's dim lights and soft music. The only downside during our visit was the outrageous noise from the group of friends who were having their Christmas get together during that time.

It’s not a secret that their menu offering is pricey. And so I make it a point to visit their bakery as well for some bargains. I got the savory Chicken Barbecue Pie (Php 80) to fill me up.
For my main order, I had the Chia Bowl (Php 380) and had the strawberries replaced with banana since I have been experiencing acid reflux as of late. It lacked the sweetness and peanuts to give it a bit more crunch.
My friend got the Baby Green Salad, it lacked ingredients as well. It was mostly just greens. Too much for the price tag of Php 380.
This branch is the newest one, and they currently have 6 branches to date. I have been to all, and in terms of ambiance this one I find most interesting.

Went here with my foodie friends to have breakfast with Peanut (the reason why we're even friends) before she leaves.
Just had Iced Mocha and it was good. With the summer's heat a week ago, anything iced was perfect. Didn't get to take a photo of that drink but here's one of Ruth's order and a couple of group shots.

First off, I hate goodbyes. They make this big guy sad sad. Hehe. And this Wildflour branch, I heard the most recently opened is one that will have both good and not so good memories.
Good memories. I got stuck into med school, had not much time to review anymore since this career i got myself into is very very strict and possessive. So good memories because after a long time of not being able to meet with the foodie gang, the stars have aligned and I was miraculously available that time! 🏻 TYL for that.
Not so good memories. It was a day of goodbyes. I won’t say we’re sad and depressed and all (even when we actually are), Peanut D, is saying goodbye to |looloo and the community she got to form during the productive years. I can still remember the first time she sent me an email and the rest were history. thanks pea for still sending invites even when I keep on turning one after the other. You’re one of the reasons I still keep on visiting |looloo and again, THANK YOU.
Review na rin ako onti sa resto ha, drama na mostly content eh. LOL!
The place: I have nothing to say about it. It was really really good. I think it’s the second Wildflour branch I’ve been to and it’s cool it had two floors. Really nostalgic and homey feels. The display of pastries and cakes at the lobby was perfectly done. It was too inviting and everyone sure had to fight the impulse of taking them home.
Service: twas all good. People were accommodating and friendly (idk we were wearing our looloo shirts so LOOOOL there could be se bias?)
Food: I got the Kimchi Fried Rice and I have to say all was perfect except for ot being pricey. It was the spicy that you’d enjoy and not cry your hearts out or one that would make you suffer. Haha! For a not so spicy lover person like me, it was tolerable and enjoyable! I loved the tasty beef chunks that came with it!
What else do I say? It was a great experience! 4.5/5 for me.
Nice seeing you! Ruth D Ruth S Clarissa P Reich T Jairus d Abe C
Will surely miss you Peanut D and thank you for drawing me into the foodie |looloo world. God bless on the newest chapter of your life! Meet us when you’re here in Manila ha!

I had brunch here yesterday with my foodie gang to send off our beloved Peanut D. It's been a few months since I'd seen them and it was timely we were complete.
I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice, with beef brisket chunks all over. It had the right heat, Kimchi flavor is very nicely done. The only thing I'd maybe prefer is slightly sour and sweetness. But otherwise it was quite excellent. Pricey at PhP 520 ($10.25), but there's decent amount of beef so it's okay. 1/2
The ambience is perfect, if there was one closer to my condo before in BGC I'd hang there more. Albeit it's a bit dark upstairs. Wildflour should be (if it isn't already) a hit in Rockwell with the upscale market, foreigners and bread, pastry, and continental, comfort and French cuisine.
Service was very good except for them losing thus delaying Peanut's order. Which may be the simplest since it's oatmeal based.

Brunch on a bittersweet Saturday morning! It was a happy day because we were complete and we haven't seen each other in a long while - Hello, #theusualsuspectsv2 But it was also a sad one since we were sending off our loves! I still can't believe that this is happening but you know, some good things never last It's so hard to write this review but I thought, I must write this and record it here because I wouldn't stay here this long (pioneer looloo batch 2012 LOL) if it wasn't for your friendship, Peanut D!
Wildflour for brunch in Rockwell. Gosh - the place was huge! High ceiling, second floor to boot, elegant interiors with a mix of bricks and wood, glass walls, chandelier and an enticing pastry/bread/cake display...it's hard not to love Wildflour.
We got a long table in their second floor area, a little dim but not an issue. Love the homey vibe and the warm service.
I got my fave Hazelnut Hot Chocolate. The warm and thick chocolate with a nice nutty touch. It's one of the best, IMO.
Then I went to try their bread pudding. I love bread pudding in general! There's something charming with the soft and sweet bread and the sweet thick milk sauce you pour into it. Wildflour's version is the bomb! It's firm enough to hold a good structure despite being soft when you cut it. It has a good burnt crust that's the BEST part, IMO. Not too sweet, even the sauce had the right balance of sweetness too. Pour to your heart's content, and enjoy!
Hubby got his all time fave - Braised Pork Belly! The best restaurant version of Adobo! Brown rice mixed with adobo sauce and flakes, two pieces of tender and really tasty pork belly that have been well marinated, runny egg and some chilis - do not skip this!
Pea got the Oatmeal Brulee which was okay. It didn't have that "slimy" texture and there was a certain bite into the oatmeal. I don't like oatmeal but this one, I can eat.
Reich tried the Wildflour Breakfast and it was a big plate of all the good things! The potato tots were delicious! That crispy seasoned skin! The sausage was tasty too.
As usual, great food and great service!

No one does Shakshouka better than Wildflour. Perfectly poached eggs on a bed of well-seasoned braised tomatoes served with a freshly baked baguette, this is the ultimate comfort food. Serving can be good for two (since I wasn’t able to finish mine, and I eat a lot). Paired this with an iced vietnamese latte, which didn’t really work lol.
Their new Rockwell branch is by far the most spacious (it has a second floor) and aesthetically pleasing one. Servers are well trained and very attentive. I have a love-hate relationship with Wildflour because I find that everything in their menu is sorely overpriced, but it’s somewhere I still find myself going back to and I think that says a lot.

A Guilty Pleasure Hidden in the Wild!
If you're up for yet another sinful session, then you HAVE TO try Wildflour Café's Chocolate cake! Ask for it and they'll give you this huge slice of rich chocolate beauty. (I kid you not when I say thay this slice was even bigger than my own hand.) Seeing that much chocolatey goodness on one plate? Definitely love at first sight!
As I sat there, enthusiastically indulging in its really thick and decadent chocolate filling, I was taken aback by this lovely surprise of salt and caramel... just when I thought it couldn't get any better! I mean, we ordered chocolate cake, but it seems like they booked me a flight to heaven.
I honestly think I could go on and on and on about this chocolate cake, but I guess it'll be better if you try it out for yourselves. Bring your friends too because it's definitely for sharing!
I also got the Lasagna Bolognese which was a meaty delight-- not too sour, but not too sweet either. It will certainly prep you enough for that luscious dessert!
All in all, the place was great-- sophisticated yet welcoming ambience, excellent customer service, amazing food, and damn, that chocolate cake.

I got really sad when WF in BGC closed (ng walang pasabi sabi) and that Little Flour offers a whole different menu...
Wildflour is my happy no fail breakfast place. I just love and enjoy eating here. Love the feel of the place (and the place it self), the oh so good complimentary bread, the “sige na nga okay na” na service (it’s good naman just not consistent hahaha), and of course, the super okay and yummy foooood!! 💯
So during the long vacation, I asked my family (Ony’s fam ) if we can go to Rockwell and eat here at the newly opened branch of Wildflour. Yayyyy!!!!
PLACE is huge!! They have 2 floors to accomodate a lot of people (and they’re full ah, ikaw na Wildflour! Hahaha! 🤗). The place is really nice, it’s bright, and pretty! Of course, the highlight is the bread display.
FOOD. Ony and I usually share but this time, we ordered what we want (because gutom! Hahahaha).
| SALMON + AVOCADO TOAST. YASSS!!! Hello, Avocado season!!! 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑 So happy that this awesome toast is available again!! I really like how generous they are with the smoked salmon and avocado. Super yummy!! Ask for chili flakes and lemon/lime for the added kick and citrusy taste.
PS: The chicken + avocado sandwich is now available as well. Will get that one next time!!! That’s my other favorite avo sandwich! Hihi. 🤗💯
| VIETNAMESE LATTE. Been hearing a lot of “good and positive reviews” about this drink so I made sure to try this annnnnd maybe I expected too much? It was just like the usual 3-in-1 coffee but less sweet. Since I was not able to finish everything, I asked if I can have it iced and to go... The iced version is better. Tastes so much better. But still, NOT SOMETHING I’LL RAVE ABOUT. 🤷🏻♀️
| TOMATO SOUP + SALAD + GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH. Tita’s order. Out of all the sandwiches they offer, I think this is the most sulit. For just a little over 500php, you get to enjoy a soup, a salad and a sandwich. The grilled cheese sandwich, as always, was good. Best enjoyed with the yummy warm tomato soup!! #ComfortFood And when you get umay with too much cheese and yumminess , the citrusy side salad will be your friend! Hahaha!
| CALIFORNIA BURGER. Kuya Andrew’s order. Was not able to taste this but he said he liked this one and it was yummy. The burger looked really good and pretty. Sarap picturan! Hahaha! The patty was thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Bun was soft. Fries also tasty!!
| REUBEN SANDWICH. Ony’s order. This is his 2nd time ordering the Reuben Sandwich and just like the first time, he enjoyed this. Perfect ratio of veggie and meat. Super filling sandwich!
SERVICE. It was ohkay?? Since the place was full, it was hard trying to get their attention. And they tend to focus sa mga artistang customers. Special treatment? 🙄

Finally tried the new Wildflour branch! It’s basically the same Wildflour you know and love but in Rockwell. Bonus: their servers are the ones from the BGC branch as they renovate that one! (I was told they will reopen in June)
So yes, they serve the same dishes which is something I’m really happy about.
As always, I recommend getting their Kimchi Fried Rice, their Croque Madame and for dessert, their best Young Coconut Pie. Tbh, I think that’s the main reason why I go there.
Make sure to call first to make a reservation. This branch gets packed!
Pics: Chorizo Fundido, Salmon on Toast, Granola with Yogurt, and their sea salt chocolate cake (which I feel now is way too rich).
