Had lunch at Wild West Roadhouse. We ordered my husband Rodeo Beef and I ordered Parmesan Crusted Fish Fillet and Spaghetti with Chicken Tenders for my daughter (not in pic). The beef was really tender and the gravy was really good. The fish was good as well though the rice pilaf was a bit dry. My daughter liked the spaghetti nothing extra ordinary, chicken tender was just ok but no dip included (was expecting like a honey mustard to go with it) though the crew was really great and service was fast. My daughter's food was served first and didn't have to wait that long which is a good as kids can be impatient especially my daughter when she's hungry and they also gave her an activity paper.

[Disclaimer: Late post.]

I always look forward to Friday nights as it always mean dinner out with my favorite girls—my mom and sister. However, because of the insane traffic (and scarcity of parking space in Kapitolyo), we often find ourselves stuck at Shangri-La. I really have nothing against the mall as it’s one of my favorite malls but I have visited all the restaurants there. I may be always hungry but my tummy is quite choosy. It wants something new every time. And sadly, there are no new restaurants at Shangri-La. So, we’re left to do a few repeats but I always make sure that I try something new.

Hello, Wild West Roadhouse Grill!

I remember that the last time I visited Wild West Roadhouse Grill was during the time there was a liquor ban. I wanted to drink margarita then but my order was turned down due to the prohibition forcing me to opt for a shake. This time though, I ordered aLong Island Iced Tea (PHP120). Our other orders were Crispy Chicken Tenders (PHP310), Chicken and Beef Skewers(PHP495), and Smoked Salmon Salad (PHP250, solo | PHP395 cowboy style).

The chicken tenders were indeed crispy. I also loved that they were able to maintain the juiciness of the chicken breasts while the batter was golden brown.

The chicken and beef skewers were also delightful though for its price, it seems that the serving of meat was a bit short. But I loved that the beef was tender and oh-so-savory! <3

My smoked salmon salad, a mix of shredded smoked Norwegian salmon, candied walnuts, pico de gallo and green onions, was delicious as well. Despite it being a salad, it was very filling. The serving was very generous and each bite was overflowing with salmon bits. The candied walnuts also created a nice contrast of sweetness with the saltiness of the smoked salmon.

My Long Island Iced Tea was surprisingly strong. I liked the bit of tanginess from its sweet and sour mix though.

I was quite disappointed that they removed their yummy crème brûlée from the menu but I will definitely visit this place again.

I really want to try another restaurant in this area but unfortunately there were a lot of people and have to find another place not that crowded.

Ended here. Got the best seat in the house and the service is good. Im not used to asking me while eating but then I realize it's their job to do so. The supervisor even ask if I want extra gravy but I decline.

Ordered wrangler's pork steak (420), a bit pricey but I loved the presentation and the cheese on top of the steak. Ordered crispy bacon strips (225), so good it's like eating a chicharon. Bacon lovers would love this. A bit salty but if you dip it in vinegar with garlic its good. The highlight of my eating here, I want to try if I get the free milkshake as well. Not disappointed and got me giddy when they gave me the code and served my vanilla milkshake. Everything was beyond expectation.

Ate here with friends. They have big servings which is really good for sharing. I like their mashed potato and the blackened steak. The steak is tender and cooked the way we liked it which is well done. The sides are overcooked though.

Momma and I ordered Flat Iron Steak (good for sharing) with side dishes of Mashed Potatoes and Mashed Potatoes! Haha! And also their best seller salad and of course their Rootbeer Float (not in the picture but still awzm for only 125php!) Pricey? Somewhat. But still worth every peso. Soooo stuffed when we ate there! Ugh! 128562128562

They currently have a tie up with Shang cineplex wherein for every purchase of two movie tickets, you get a coupon for nachos or calamari from Texas Roadhouse. (We watched Mockingfire, btw. Great movie!)

So yay free nachos! My friend and I were actually surprised at the serving size. We were expecting it to be tiny because, you know, it's free, but it was huge.

Effective naman promotional tactic nila. Sayang yung free (both dishes were worth P300+/each), and once you claim it parang nakakahiya naman not to order anything else.

We ordered the Jesse James sampler: buffalo wings + chicken tenders + mozzarella sticks. Sorta pricey at P500, plus the mozzarella sticks weren't very good. But sulit narin, mostly because we only paid for the sampler and not the nachos.

Service was great, also.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because im not a fish lover 128522 I can really say they recommended the right one 128077 since again i was having a hard time choosing what i want , coz i wanted a lot on their menu 128513 . The crust was so crispy not greasy and once you cut inside it the fish just falls off itssss sooo goood 128561 plus it came with steamed veggies and rice (forgot what kind of rice it was though 128513) but take note this is a huge meal good for two or three if you eat small 128516

Their staff was also really accommodating. Our server was ferdie , ask for him his really nice , and the manager freddie checked on us too to make sure we have everything we need 128077128077128077

If you're a bacon lover, you have to order their Crispy Pork Bacon starter 128523 they serve it with vinegar but we prefer it with ketchup mixed with tabasco 128521 such a filling starter , i think its also better with beer for those who drink 128077

We went to Shangri - La Plaza again the other day and tried the roadhouse grill. Staff was friendly and somehow knowledgeable on the menu, although she was clearly reciting what she memorized during her training perhaps, i really wish servers will use their own words in marketing the menu.

Caesar salad - used a regular 18 peso lettuce found in the market. Dressing was too sour, very un - caesar dressing like. Seriously, invest in good quality caesar dressing if you can't make one from scratch which is fairly easy and not time consuming.

priced at 220

Sirloin steak with mushroom and gravy - Ok, being an avid steak fan, they cooked it the way i like it, medium well perfect, perfectly seasoned and all. But what lacked the umph was because the steak is again low quality, texture was close to over well done even if they cooked it medium well pink middle, But it's all good.

priced at 780

Apple crumble dessert - Ice cream was good.

a word of advice, please caramelize your green apple with white sugar before mixing in everything, apple was too sour and it was put on cold sizzling plate, i assume you want the caramelized cinnamon apple to blend well with the ice cream, but no, everything is cold.

Customers are willing to pay more for quality ingredients.

Good food with awesome people. Met up with the UBFN gang to bid an advanced farewell to Nikki who'll go on an expatriation assignment to Vietnam next week (ikaw na!).

Since we all haven't tried this place (and because we're all craving for meat), we tried this joint. And lucky we did.

The place is quaint and very old American-ish (wood and elements of cowboy fixtures everywhere). The food was really really good. My friend and I shared 2 dishes as they said all dishes were good for sharing.

We got the beef pot roast (-1 because I can finish that by myself. Misrepresentation) and the lemon Cajun cream dory. Both were actually really good. Although the pot roast was small (huhuhu) it was really, really good. Best I've had in a long while. It was really moist and soft. The veggies were really good too. Perfectly blanched and still crunchy inside. The cream dory was good but so so. Essentially I don't like cream dory but their seasoning totally covered the fish's weird texture.

Overall it was a good resto. A little pricey but it's for sharing naman (except the pot roast, that deserves a solo). Will definitely be back to try out the other steaks 128523

They have a variety of really good salads that we had for our appetizer. 128077 Then for our main course we had our usual full rack baby back! And we also tried the blackened steak - medium well... Really good stuff plus the rice was super good also! But when we were midway thru the steak if seemed more of medium then medium well.. So there were some pieces we didn't consume. Anyway, I guess we can't blame the chef since it is hard to grill that and know if it's good already when it's black to begin with. Hehe!9996️ Overall, good visit as usual!

And fun fact! Did you know that the owners of this place are the same people who own the Chili's franchise in the Philippines? 128077

I felt empty. Both tummy and soul. I was alone two hours after I parted ways with my Tinder date and I found myself browsing menus, looking for a decent burger to fill the void that I felt.
I first took a gander at Johnny Rockets's menu, picking it up from the scattered pile right by the entrance. No one was there to even make an attempt to convince me to come in; I prefer it that way, but I don't think a manager does.

So, cross I did the river of white tiles and landed right on the shores of Wild West. The menu welcomed me with open arms. So did their manager. I intended only to look as I was thinking of unloading all of my weight a few levels down, preferably where there are greener pastures. Wink. But, the effort of the manager sealed it. I wanted to be wanted and she wanted me to be her customer. Who gives. I just wanted to be stuffed.

I sat there. And I felt wonderful - at peace. I felt light. She promised me that my satiation, in the form of their Roadhouse Red Chili burger, would soon be fulfilled, but that it'll take 15 minutes. And wait I did not. The scenario was clinically sublime. I felt like I was in an isolated place, where the few people around were having their final meals, and that the world was going to end - that everyone was reveling in the quiet with select company. The room chatter induced stillness, the passers by provided animation to the silent world, and soon I was lost in nothing. Well, that was until my dish was served before my blank stare.

The servers were quick to pick up cues, taking the initiative to provide without me even speaking. And that gave me a sense of home, that I was being taken care of. That attentiveness and warmth translated to a generous praise on the piece of paper they give out for comments. Everything was excellent I said in the form of checks in the boxes. I said it was foodgasmic.

Going back to that apocalyptic last meal fantasy, I'd say that if I did die right after that meal, I would've died replete and happy. It would've been a beautiful death. (GoT hangover) I felt so joyful that I became aware of the handsome amount of fries I left uneaten. I asked the lady to have it bagged so I could hand it to a deserving street beggar on my way home.

In summary, dining alone on an early weekday evening is not bad at all especially if the food is good. It was a good burger and it satisfied me. Not to mention I sat through a couple of hours seated across a person I barely knew, my eyes losing focus as it fixed on the space before her face as she rambled about business, only hearing the occasional "do you get me?" I badly needed to find myself again and food helps.

Rushed to this place for Papa's birthday dinner (na BIGLAAN). HAHAHA I was late so I wasn't able to take photos of all the food. Sorry. Yang picture ni Dad nalang na "cowboy". Hahaha. This dinner was really biglaan kasi I was outside hanging out with a friend then they called me that they were in Shang for dinner. 128514

We ordered the ff:

Buffalo Wings 1108811088
Seafood Basket 110881108811088
Outlaw's Tuna Belly 110881108811088
The Baby Back Ribs 110881108811088
Boneless Chicken BBQ 1108811088110881108811088

Well, I think I can compare them to TGIFridays? Hehe. 9786️ Staffs were really friendly, maybe it became too much lang kasi we were still eating and talking to each other then someone would ask us how's the food so far. 128517128513 And, when we were about to finish, they sang their "birthday jingle" for Dad. We were surprised because none of us requested it, yun pala narinig lang nila sa convo namin and then they did their birthday jingle na. 128516 SWEET! 10084️ They gave dad a large scoop of ice cream with whip cream and birthday candle + let him wore a cowboy hat. Hahaha 9786128077 They gave him discount coupons too as their birthday treat to him.

We didn't order their desserts na because we shared Dad's really big scoop of birthday ice cream and we all cheated, nagsipag-softdrinks na kami! BOTTOMLESS! 128514

Ending this now. Hahaha. Anyway, in my opinion, this is like TGIFridays version na medyo lower ang price. Try it. 9786️ They also serve cocktails, beers, and... They have wifi! 128069
