It was my mom in law's birthday and we decided to celebrate here. The place is cozy considering it's a weekend and payday at that. There was a singer serenading us with a mix of country songs and some Eagle's songs ( I think). Anyway, wait staff really attentive without being pesky considering the one assigned to us was still a trainee. For the food, everybody enjoyed their orders, clam chowder was perfect! I do remember there was rib eye, sirloin and top blade. Mine was grilled prawns ( me not being a steak eater). The sirloin was supposed to be medium rare but because it was a super hot plate it cooked thus losing the tenderness. But like I said everybody had a great time! Ooohhh I forgot the sidings.. Also good! Hahaha

Trooped here after reading a lot of good feedback about the steak. What's interesting is that its a Western themed steakhouse, complete with Western inspired props and attire for the staff, put up by a Japanese owner. The menu seemed very American so I wondered if there was a Japanese twist to the flavors and/or the preparation.

I of course had to get the steak! The meat was quite tasty and what made it interesting was their sprinkling of garlic and the steak sauce which had a sort of sweet-soy taste to it. The garlic bits reminded me of the garlic that's mixed into the dipping sauce for yakiniku. 128077 The steak was served on a sizzling plate, so you get to witness the sizzle & smoke as they drizzle the steak sauce over your freshly grilled meat!

The prices are a bit on the expensive side, but given the quality of the beef, I guess rightfully so. Not exactly your fine dining steakhouse because of the cowboy inspired vibe, but a good place to bring a family of carnivores for a weekend lunch.

Reserved 2 days prior for 10pax to celebrate my son's bday.

We arrived on time and lo and behold...they prepared 10seats for us alright.

Table was in a nook n corner that looked carinderia set up,

The long table ,monoblock chairs and blackboard covering the area from the rest of the world.

Wtf!!!

Wont pay good money for crap service!

Gone in a flash and never shall i return!

For the japanese owner..."Sayonara!"

There is just so much to love about this place. But, the steak comes best!

The kids love this place esp the rocking wooden horse. :)

We will keep going back to this place. :)

First time to try it here and I was honestly surprised (in a good way) 128522 the place had this Western feel but cute cause the owner is Japanese (which is why they married a couple of Japanese touches in some of the dishes) 128077

Order roll: mango and pomelo salad, nachos, clam chowder, seafood pasta, steak, carbonara and wafu burger 128055 the salad was refreshing and super light! The clam chowder was good too although it came in a small bowl only 128532 the nachos were good and they even gave us a lot of extra salsa and cheese when we asked 128077 mains: seafood pasta was heavenly!!! Although it swam a little too much in olive oil, it was still so good. The wafu burger and the steak were so hearty! The wafu burger was an open faced burger and had pasta on the side. At first we thought it was weird buuut it was Japanese style pasta (which looked like spaghetti which was why we thought it was weird) that complemented the burger well 128076 the carbonara was creamy but the sauce was a little "broken" for me 128513

Overall food was super good! And excellent service too! They gave a complementary bread basket. It was warm wheat bread and had unsalted butter on the side. We wanted to ask for more and take it all home 128514

My dad's palette is kinda.... "Specific" (for the lack of a better term aotm) and all restaurants (no matter how upscale or what) he always sees some kind of "flaw" in the taste and way things were presented and cooked. Which is why we were so shocked when he actually enjoyed his steak and the rest of the food!! 128517 so for us, that means something 128514

Didn't disappoint! Most definitely coming back! Ps. They've clean bathrooms 128514128521

Coming here was not planned but I'm glad we tried it. Loved the Western/Cowboy motif. Motivated by the live country style music. Of course, the steak was tasty and flavorful but could have been more tender for an Angus - but I liked it. Service was excellent. Recommended.

A great steakhouse with an ironic twist. When you walk in, you feel like you've entered a spaghetti western and Clint Eastwood or Django will sidle up to you and ask you to draw . But there's a ton of Japanese folk here! Probably due to the fact that the chef is Japanese and he grills his steaks in a Japanese manner. That, plus the great Japanese steak sauce , and fragrant white rice makes for a fantastic Japanese steak meal. 'Gif along little dawgies.... "What?"

We ate there yesterday after a long hiatus, and the waiter still remembered my name! The kids put on cowboy hats and rode the big wooden rocking horse inside while we were waiting for the food.

We had 8- and 10-oz steaks, while the kids had the angus cheeseburger and the little
Indian hotdog meal, and the wife was able to request fried chicken off-menu. Wooden horse is a Japanese steakhouse, so the steaks are served with herb butter and steak sauce, but the sauce wasn't really needed. The bun of the hotdog was a bit heavy and chewy, but the sausage was tasty and had great bite. The steaks were quite goodas usual, and since the older daughter was not able to finish her burger, I was able to enjoy a bit of the delicious angus bacon cheeseburger as well. The kids' meals also had ice cream, and we were also served with complementary pineapple to finish off the meal.
Good food, nice, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff, what's there not to like?

Ordered Gambas, Calamari, Cesar Salad and 2 set 8oz Rib Eye with clam Chowder and Corn Soup, also came with Iced Tea.

Calamari was not de-skinned and not all was de-veined. Tasted Japanese western fusion. Calamari was just OK. Cesar Salad was just OK. Nothing really special on the dishes. I was hoping that the steak would be great. I had it mid well but arrived well done. Being a biased customer of Highlands Steakhouse not even went close in the quality. Went to eat dinner time and the place is warm. Needed additional airconditioning.

The thing they really had advantage was their service.

This was the first time I ever ventured into the Molito Compound right beside Alabang Town Center. Fortunately for me, the first resto I tried out was a hit! The Wooden Horse Steak House is a great combination of great food and good service. You'll also develop a resistance to Country Music. Make sure you try out any of their selections of Angus Beef steaks. They also have kids' combo dishes. And... They really do have a wooden rocking horse free for anyone to ride. Their prices aren't exorbitantly high considering they are serving prime cut meats. So if you're craving for steak down South, try out this wooden horse.

Ate here last week. My friend and I ordered the sampler (sausages, chicken wings, etc.) as an appetizer and the burger. It was really good! But what made our first time there really memorable was the service. The waiters were accommodating and they just looked really happy! There was even a country singer to entertain us! Love the place! Would definitely want to go there again! :)
