Went here to have a quick Mother's day dinner with the family last night and then went back to Batangas. 128514 We arrived here at around 9pm and thanks to the kind crew, they still accommodated us even though they already flipped the "closed" sign. Not sure why they closed early though since the info stated on looloo says they're open until 11pm. Anyway, here's my review of their food.

127860 Puto with a choice of minatamis na mantikilya or aligue mantikilya add on - They served this to us as a complimentary "appetizer". I love the texture of the puto. It was firm and not crumbly. 128077🏼

127860 Sugpo sa aligue - I recommend getting this! This dish is really good! But be cautious, it's not good for people with high blood pressure. 128514

127860Gising gising - Loved this dish, goes well with sugpo sa aligue. 128077🏼

127860Lechon Kawali - They call this the "pampabata" 128514, another dish I recommend getting. Pork is not chewy, but juicy. 128076🏼

127860Sinigang na Salmon - If you love really sour types of sinigang, you'll love this one too. 128522 I actually didn't care too much about the salmon, I just want my soup to be sour. Haha! I found it weird though that they put bell peppers on the sinigang. Is that normal?

To summarize, I recommend getting all I mentioned. Haha! It was all so good that we finished everything! That quick trip to Makati was really worth it!

We had Sugpo sa Aligue, Gising-gising, Crispy Pata, Calamari, Sinigang and some dish I forgot the name. It was a great experience! The ambiance is really homey but classy. And its very unique that their waitresses talk to you and call you "Binibini" and call themselves "Silbidora niyo ngayong gabi".
They speak fluent and deep Tagalog.
Sample? When my friend tried to order Mango Shake..
Miss, pa-order naman ng Mango Shake, yung gising-gising kasi maanghang.
Miss Silbidora: (smiling) Isang Kinalog na Manggang Hinog po? Maari lamang pong maghintay sandali.

At nung nagpapicture kami, instead of "Smile!" Or "Say Cheese!", the lady said: "Isa, dalawa, tatlo, isang malaking tinapaaay."

Not your usual dine and go experience. Twas a fun night 128147

Our partner treated our team at X046 bistro for a christmas celebration. They reserved the visayan area of the resto. They set up a buffet table and served the following:

Rilyening talong with pork - i liked this
Lechon paksiw
Pork binagoongan - this was delicious
Bangus salpicao - this was a bit spicy and crunchy
Bangus sinigang - just the right sourness for me

Everything was a bit oily, but i think filipino dishes are usually like that.

For dessert, they served cassava cake and a layared sapin-sapin. I only took the layered sapin-sapin. It wasn't too sweet. I liked its texture.

It was my first time to eat here and I was impressed! From the Tagalog-speaking servers to the excellent Filipino dishes, it was a good dining experience.. My friends who took me here ordered their staple Tinapa Rice which is a must try.. I also found the Adobong Baka sa Bawang to be really good..

Make sure to make reservations though.. The place gets packed really quickly especially during the lunch hour..

If you have a foreigner friend who would love to try authentic Filipino food that taste like home-cooked meals, then this is the place to bring them to. Servers speak fluent and straight Filipino and will address you as señorita or señorito! Ginisang munggo with tinapa was really really good. I liked the ginataang sigarilyas and sinigang na tadyang ng baboy. So asim! Crispy pata was okay. Calamansi spritzer for drinks, yes please! Desserts were not as stellar though. Halo-halo was oh so freakin' sweet for me! (I choose 25-20% sugar on milk teas, that's how I don't like it too sweet). They have a promo of buy one take one on Saturday's at this branch so it's best to come in groups.

This is my go-to place when I have foreign guests. Aside from the fact they call you señorito and señorita, the whole design and feel of the place is great! Reminds you of what good old Filipino traditions are. :)

The puto appetizers with the yummy herbed butter is always a fun treat. Sago't gulaman (panghimagas) here is the best! Also the black gulaman drink...!

As to the entrees... Ah, well. I've probably tried most everything and the servings are generous (but of course the tapas are tapas-sized but still quite generous). All time faves are crispy tadyang, any of the kare-kares, the pakbet with bagnet pieces (ooooh!), the ginataang langka or any of the gata plates, and any of the sinigangs are great!

It is also fun to try the different types of rice (with bagoong, alamang or other).

Getting hungry just remembering what I last ate here... Brought my association team here recently for brunch (we were stuffed and happy after, naturally!).

It's nice to eat at this place because it's like you're not in the Makati central business district. :) kind of a semi time-warp but with guaranteed awesome tummy fillers! :)

Oh, and sapin-sapin to die for...!

(P.S. The price is super affordable considering the servings... Let me tell you that I entertained a group of five people for dinner here, and the bill, considering we had 4 different viands, 2 appetizers, soup plus our own drinks, and dessert, was only a little over 6k including surcharges and taxes! We were stuffed to the gills...!)

Must-try yung Relyenong talong 127814, Kare kareng tadyang, at cassava cake 127856. Panalo yung libreng appetizer na putong may mantekilya dip. To top things off, may libre ka pang ChocNut na panghimagas 128077🏼

Loved this place! The interior design is lovely. The staff members are fantastic! They only speak in Filipino, in a makata and Balagtas way. It's funny how they speak though, some filipino words are literal translations of english terms. For instance, when you order coke light, they will refer to it as coke gaan. And when you ask them to take your photo, they will say isa dalawa tatlo, sabihin ang keso! It's cute actually!

Apart from the resto's appearance and staff, the food is delicious! We ordered the sigarilyas, which really went well with the lechon sisig and adobong baka! Everything was delicious! The sigarilyas balanced the flavor and texture of the lechon sisig and adobong baka! For dessert, ee had the halaya which was good to. I loved my entire experience here and will definitely go back. The price is quite expensive though but It is worth it! I cannot wait to try their other food items.

We went back one Sunday night and the restaurant in this branch was closed though so I guess they are closed Sunday nights. Not sure though. Anyway, you should definitely try eating here, for a pleasant dining experience!

A close friend and her entire family treated me for dinner. I super love their sinigang na salmon and cassava cake which i had for dessert. 128149

Good service and was very impressed of how the crew were talking in pure tagalog, even in the smallest ways. 128077 owning up to their heritage name.

Order Crispy Pata and Sinigang na Salmon!

The ambience is cozy. The free puto is good too. I am tempted many times to buy a lot of that puto.

My second review since not winning the iphone6 giveaway. My husband asked if I wanted to take pictures for my looloo review and I told him I feel bad about losing so i really don't feel like writing a review. But I am writing this review because I thought about helping the looloo community, and that's really more important than winning an iphone6. 128541

This place serves good Filipino food. I liked their version of Pochero, the pork was cooked with apples, it was really good. Their beef karekare tasted good but the beef was too hard, medyo nasira so hopefully they try to do something about this. My husband loved their laing. I loved it too, my husband just loved it more. This place is too far from where we live, but they have a small branch/kiosk at Rob Magnolia called Isla Cafe, I have reviewed Isla a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it as well.

Still one of my favorite Filipino restaurants! At dito lang akong tatawagang "señorita" na hindi inuunahan ng "huwag kang masyadong". Try the adobong baka!

First time to eat in this resto and I must say, the food is great. Highly recommend the langka sa gata, adobo ng pusit, and binagoongang baboy. Price is reasonable. You need to call for reservation especially during Fridays and Saturdays.

The staff calls you Senyorita or Senora... Language - Tagalog na tagalog... Food - Authentic Filipino... There is nothing extra ordinary about the food...

The place was a bit small...

You can bring your foreign visitors to this place for them to feel the Filipino hospitality...
