And I am so delayed on this review 128517

On my mom's birthday, we decided to dine here which was her request really. We've been passing by it for some years now whenever we go to this mall. For that day, we had their Beef Salpicao, Laing and Kare Kareng Dagat. The real standout was the Kare Kareng Dagat. The plating was just beautiful with all the main ingredients laid out in that fashion. Taste was real good too as it harkened me back to my lola's cooking. The others were okay though I found the beef in the salpicao a little tough, and the leaves of the laing to be a too mushy. For dessert, we didn't want to miss the Sapin Sapin Bahaghari. It was paired with mantecado ice cream and cherry wine. On its own, the kakanin was good. But adding the pairings in made the dessert interesting and quite good.

Overall, service was okay. Price was affordable too. 128076

Whew!! 128517

It's the time of the month again when my aunt's friend from Cebu visits manila for a quick vacation. They were both craving for Pinoy food and wanted to visit Century City Mall, as well. Despite the not so nice reviews about this place, I still suggested we eat here. With not so high expectations, I was surprised because everything we had was really good and serving size were all very generous.

We ordered the following:
- Pinakbat ng Laoag
- Relyenong Talong
- Ensaladang Bagnet at Hilaw na Mangga 128076🏼
- Pinaasim na Tilapiyang Malutong
- Pansit Binondo
- Bicol Express Naga Style

Everything was veryyy gooood and yummy but my favorite would be the salad (or the Ensaladang Bagnet at Hilaw na Mangga). Not your ordinary salad!! Lettuce with green mangoes and bagnet. A sosyal healthy version of our usual ensalada. Very refreshing! Super masarap! Definitely a must try! 128076🏼

Service was good and nakakaaliw. They were very nice and helpful. Tagalog kung tagalog talaga! 128518128077🏼

Thursday, last week, I intended to have dinner with my HS friends at Hole-in-the-Wall so I can try their food there and also because the place is so pretty and intriguing but when I arrived, only Scout's Honor, Spruce, and Green Cheese were open. 128542

Tough luck because they opened all of the kiosks the next day 128530 HAHA! So we ended up eating here. I was not really feeling Filipino food at that time but one of my friends just had dinner at Yumi's the night before and she gave me no other choice but to finalize the venue of our dinner gathering here.

Let's talk about service first, the servers were not very attentive and overall service was very poor. The food took really long to get served and the waiters don't even check if the customers are calling their attention. The waitress also had an attitude problem.

Moving on to the food, here's what we ordered:
1⃣Ensaladang Bagnet at Hilaw na Mangga
2⃣Laing
3⃣Lechon Sisig (2)
4⃣Gambas Al Ajillo
5⃣Isang bandehadong kanin (new Tagalog/Filipino word for me haha! Bandehado means bowl 128512)

1⃣ This tasted good but the amount of bagnet in it is so little. It's like a 1:5 ratio of bagnet to salad. Overpriced in my opinion. Worth a try? I can't really say. But if they are offering a dish with bagnet alone, maybe that would be worth a try.

2⃣An order of laing can feed 4-6 girls like me. It's a bit too creamy for my liking. I think you'll be satisfied with just 3 tbsp of this. This is still worth a try though for those who haven't dined in here yet.

3⃣I guess this dish is where I raised my expectations too much. I was expecting it to be something that melts in your mouth but it wasn't like that. It's more of like lechon bits that were overcooked because it was a bit dry and the mayonnaise just over did the sinfulness of this dish. We ordered 2 because one of our friends was late and this dish was the "most okay" one out of the bunch.

4⃣The gambas al ajillo was good. This is an additional order of my friend who cam in late. This is noteworthy and you should definitely order this! I would rate this place a 3.5 for this if there was an option.

5⃣The bowl of rice is really plentiful. It was more than enough for our group of 6.

I was really expecting a lot taste-wise and service-wise but I got disappointed. Also, I think the place needs better lighting. It's too dark in there and it's not the "intimate" ambiance of darkness.

Photo is lechon sisig :)

The food was great and the ambiance was good. All their crew try to speak in Filipino. The crispy kare-kare was a bit disappointing. I guess I like my kare-kare the usual/traditional way. Worth the visit.

XO was one of the best filipino resto ever since it started in valero makati. I was surprise that they have a branch opened in century mall. They still greet with pure deep filipino language we take some time to make fun with their staff by asking english term to be said in tagalog but they are really good. The food was still great, the must try for me is the beef salpicao and the crispy pata.

Decided to try the restaurant for my sister's birthday dinner. The food was GREAT!! We had the crispy pata, sugpo sa aligue, okoy, and kinunot na lapu-lapu. Everything was really good, and the serving sizes were well worth their prices.

Bonus points for their complementary appetizers, too: puto (one for each guest, yay), a plate of chicharon, and even a serving of sapin-sapin for the birthday girl.

And the service was excellent, perhaps partly because there were very few customers (not just in the restaurant alone, but the whole mall). The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Plus I found it adorable that they spoke (almost) straight Filipino, to match the restaurant's theme and their Filipiniana costumes.

They're quite pricey (P250 and up) but worth it. Overall a great dining experience and deserving of another visit.

We went on a Sunday, past 7pm. We were greeted "magandang gabi señorito, señorita". The waiting staff spoke exclusively in Filipino. We were seated immediately. The waitress handed the menu saying "narito po ang talaan ng mga inumin at pagkain." The menu is in English though. It would have been interesting to have at least the name ofvthe dishes in Filipino (with the description in English) to keep with the theme. We ordered Dalandan Mint Shake, Spicy Squid, Kinunot na Lapu-lapu and Lechon Sisig. While waiting for our orders, we were served iced water (there were lime wedges in the serving pitcher) and a smal plate if chichacorn. A few minutes later, we were served a complimentary plate of puto with two dollops of spread - one is sweet butter, the other is aligue something - I forgot. They were quite good. I loved the dalandan mint shake. I asked that the syrup is served on the side so I can mix to my desired sweetness level. The Spicy Squid has a spicy, garlicky, crunchy crust. You can see minced garlic and chopped birds eye chili on the crust. The squid is tender and cooked just right. The Lechon Sisig is very flavorful. My hubby loved it. It is very spicy though. I ordered a second glass of the Dalandan Mint Shake to wash down the spicy food. For me, the best dish we ordered is Kinunot na Lapulapu. I first tasted this dish in Bantayan Island, Cebu almost a decade ago. I have yet to taste a version in Manila that comes close to that experience. The search is over. This is better! The fillet of fish is lightly fried (I think). The sauce comes with succulent shredded buko and rich, creamy coconut milk. Not sure if the green leaves are talbos ng sili or malunggay. It is a bit spicy and there are chopped red birds eye chili. Sarap!!! For dessert, my hubby ordered halo-halo. Also very good. The milk tasted like melted ice cream! The halo-halo is the traditional kind (not like Razon's) with a lot of "halo" like munggo, kaong, langka, ube, etc.

According to the menu, the dishes we ordered are good for 3-4 people. The servings are not really huge but considering that most customers order a variety of dishes, then I suppose each order can be shared by at least three people. Hubby and I wiped out the squid, but left some of the fish and sisig - but only because we wanted to have dessert. 128521 Finally, we were given two complimentary chocnuts. Overall, great service and food.

I gave it 4/5 stars because:

1. The menu did not indicate if the food is spicy or not (except for the Spicy Squid). Better ask the waiter to be sure.
2. 4 of the 9 or 10 items in the dessert menu are unavailable, so is the Sago at Gulaman in the drinks menu which my hubby ordered.

Mixed review! So to be fair, will comment on each item ordered. I love Calamares so had to order this. Too much breading. Can hardly taste the squid. Ordered lechon kawali and escabecheng tilapia. Enjoyed them. And the surprise of the evening was the ensaladang bagnet with manggang hilaw. Fresh, not too salty with the bagoong dressing, and good amount of bagnet toppings.

The disappointment was in calculating the senior citizen discount. In a group of 5, 3 of which were entitled to the SC discount, we only got 40% of the total bill given the 20% discount. To be fair, since 60% of the diners were entitled, 60% of the bill should have been considered. Not happy but will not make a big deal. I just can't patronize as often again.

Ambiance: very cozy and elegant. I just don't like how the chairs keep sliding due to the slippery floor and the place is tight.

Service: waiters are attentive. good service. Waiters use words lang ukopado etc.

Food: kilawin, gising gising, lechon sisig, lechon kawali and garlic rice. I liked the Gising Gising and the garlic rice. I think the garlic rice had star margarine. Yummy!!

First...I love the food, specially the Crispy Kare kare na tadyang. Love it... The servers only speaks Tagalog like their Mango Juice...its "Inalog na Mangga"... This is a must try resto....don't be deceived by its elegant set up. The price you have to pay is worth every peso...

We were a big group when we dined out with two of our balikbayan friends. Filipino food it is, just perfect for their cravings. But we had to call for reservation beforehand because the place is quite small and seats get easily occupied.

The servers were very accommodating and polite. They speak deep tagalog words, some that we haven't even heard of. They call us señoritas and are very approachable and attentive to our demands.

We ordered variety of viands, to the point that I can't remember everything. Salpicao, Dinakdakan, Kinilaw na Tanigue sa Dayap, Gising gising and Sugpo sa Aligue to name a few. Their servings are too little, we didn't expect it to be that scanty for a price of 300-500+ per order.

My favorite was Sugpo sa Aligue for I am an all-time fan of seafoods. But in 1 serving, I think there were only 2 or 3 pieces of shrimp, not enough for a hungry tummy. But the taste is flavorful, I liked it so much.

My 5 stars goes to Ripe Mango Shake. It is very refreshing! Not too sweet, and very smooth. I really really loved it.128525

I recommend this for balikbayans, families and dating couples who have full pockets and are in awe of lutong bahay.128077

Perfect Filipino food. Everything we had was so good, we forgot to take photos. From the complimentary Puto, to the Sinigang na Lechon Kawali, the Ginataang Langka, the Adobong Pusit, the Sago't Gulaman, and all the way to the 3 servings of Kanin - yes, 3! - everything was perfection.

They offer Filipino food. They will give you small puto as pampagana. The server will call you senorito or senorita. While waiting for your food they will give you a riddle ( bugtong). I like their gambas and their dessert of ube and leche flan with mantecado. The tilapia that we order were bland though.

We ordered adobong pusit and ginisang munggo with tinapa. The munggo with tinapa was yummy, although you have to watch out for some stray fish bones.

The adobong pusit - let's just say the one at Dela Rosa car park's "Garahe" is better. 128516

The seafood kare-kare is supposedly good, so will try that next time.

The menu said that the serving size of the munggo was good for 3-4, but it was more of good for 2. 3 if your companion's aren't that hungry.
