Our impromptu drive today led us to Subic and one of the go to places my partner is fond of is Xtremely Xpresso. It's too late for coffee so we decided to grab some dinner instead.

Tonight we feasted on the Jalapeño crunch (which is exactly like a dynamite), Spinach and Mushroom Lasagna, and the Big Ben pizza.

Considering it was a full house because of the long weekend, we still got good service and really quick turnaround for our order. 5 minutes after they got it the appetizer and lasagna was already on our table!

The Jalapeño Crunch is, sadly, not the usual spicy fare one usually gets. It's more like a cheese filled stick with bacon bits. It's good but I wish it was spicy. I like spicy. 128556

The Spinach and Mushroom lasagna was the one that pleasantly surprised us. The choice of light cream paired with the cheese really lends itself well to the abundant serving of mushrooms and Spinach. It's not heavy or oily as I expected and is really light and filling. This will be one of my go to dishes when we eat here again.

The Big Ben pizza is also good. It's not life changing good though. Needs more vegetables to balance out the meat (pepperoni, etc) that they topped it with. Reminds me of a thinner, less oily, version of the combo pizza at S&R with less dough and veggies. I remember their BBQ chicken pizza tasting way better.

It was a very filling dinner indeed. Although our expectation was already leveled because of prior visits it's refreshing to discover some great dishes (and not so great dishes) in this restaurant. Be warned though that even the regular pizza is already a lot (we have 2/3 of a pie to take home)! 128523

The place was jam packed when we ate last weekend.

We had truffle pasta, pizza and buffalo wings. The food was just ok. Sans the flavor of the truffle oil the pasta would have tasted like ordinary carbonara. The place served enormous pizza but the taste nothing out of the ordinary. I was a bit disappointed by the wings. I was expecting it to be spicy with a bit of sour/saltiness but I found it bland.

Gotta give it props though for the wide variety of choices in the menu.

Went their last sunday May 14 with friends for breakfast and place was full inside..had to take outside seats.. as per the server they only serve breakfast from the menu since it was still early. Guess what! The food looked funny than yummy! I didnt expect their serving would be look like a kid making his own breakfast at home..i would never go back!

I think this is one of the go-to restos whenever you're in Subic. We went there for dinner and it was seriously packed. We were lucky that there was one last vacant table that could fit all seven of us.

It might not look like it from the outside but Xtremely Xpresso is actually really homey and cozy. It can get pretty noisy when there's a lot of people but it's part of it, I guess.

We got the table next to the window that provides a view of the staff making pizza, which was awesome to watch. Haha

Another thing I found entertaining is that placemat. It's basically just paper and on one side is the menu. On the other side are different puzzles inspired by The Shining! So while waiting for your food, take out your pen and exercise your brain! Haha

We had the Big Ben for our pizza and lemme say, it was seriously loaded. Sausage, pepperoni, bacon, cheese, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and so much more. It's that loaded! We went for the Xtreme size and we were pretty stunned when we found out that it had 16 slices! Yep, we weren't able to finish it.

I had the Baby Back Ribs, which is already super sulit for Php200. It like the sauce they used on the ribs. It had a nice sourness to it, which balanced the sweet and the heavy savory flavors that come with any barbecue sauce.

One of my sisters had the Fish Fillet with Lemon Garlic Sauce, which she liked. Another sister of mine got the Tuna Melt Monte Cristo, which was pretty big so she wasn't able to finish it. My mom had the Salmon in Mango and Ginger Sauce and considering how picky she is with food, she likes this one, which says a lot

Overall, this place has really good, really cheap food. 128076🏼

This is also another good stop over lunch place.

My favorite is the chicken cutlet parmigiana. My brothers ordered the ribs. It's serving is really generous and it's good. I actually tried a bite. It's also nice to have a cup of coffee here after the meal.

Tried the famous Big Ben and honestly, I was a bit disappointed. Yes it had a lot of toppings on a thin crust pizza but the taste was just okay. Nothing special.

I actually liked their mushroom soup better. Because it was so creamy and perfect for the rainy evening.

Yikes, backlog. The next few reviews I'll be writing is from the road trip my boyfriend and I did last May. We went to Subic. 128569

Before we went to the hotel where we checked in (I wrote about that already, we stayed in Subic Grand Seas), we had lunch here first. I remember eating here with my family before but that was way before |ooloo. 128568

We shared an order of their Nachos first and it was delicious! The chips were crispy and they had a generous amount of toppings. The ground beef was nicely seasoned and really juicy and tender. The sauce and cheese put on top made the dish complete too. It was a huge serving so we had to take some of it back to the hotel. 128570

For mains, J had the Truffle Cream Spaghetti and it was very tasty! It was very creamy and seasoned nicely. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was really good! I had the Lengua and I loved it! The pieces of ox tongue were cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce went so well. This really was a hearty rich dish and I absolutely loved it. 128568

I will definitely come back, and maybe try their coffee too. 128571

The official go to place if we're going to Subic. Their dishes are so good! Tried their shrimp scampi, chicken and mushroom steak, and their pizza...deelicious!
Of course, the meal wouldn't be complete without ordering their coffee! Had cappuccino and it was really good! Too bad they have not opened a branch here in manila.
Rated it 4 stars...minus 1 star for their limited parking space.

One of the go to diners in this leisure hub up north. Subic can be reached by 2 hours via SCTEX now as before ( 4 hours). So many diners passing through here aware of its reputation of serving awesomely big burgers and pizzas. Tried the regular big ben pizza. Liked the crispiness of the crust, the overload of cheese and meats, the whole pizza really was good. They ran out of big ben burgers sigh. Maybe on my next visit I get to try the big burgers.

This is my 3rd trip to Subic Bay. And every time I visit, we dine here at our favorite restaurant in the area. The restaurant is always packed whenever we dine. For this trip, I had slices of their Big Ben Pizza which is their specialty pizza as well as their Coffee Jelly Frappe. It was truly worth the wait. Their service staff are warm and accommodating. It is one of the best restaurants in Subic and I'd be happy to recommend it to any one.

I must admit I am a coffeeholic and breakfast lover. I go to different places to discover and try different coffee places. I guess it's always been part of my adventure.

We went to Subic and we passed by this super cool coffee shop! It was early in the morning and there's a lot of customers already. We found a seat, luckily! There are also seats outside.

I ordered for their Goodmorning Breakfast P180 and a White Mocha P90. We also tried the Filipino Breakfast P150. The food was good, nothing special but I super love the presentation! 128513 They have cool mugs about coffee which really caught my attention. 128514

"I dont have a problem with caffeine, i have a problem without caffeine"

"Chocolate, men, coffee, some things are better rich"

They are also known for the famous "Big Ben Pizza" Meat consists mainly of pepperoni and ham, veggies such as olives, bell pepper and mushrooms, plus loads of cheese! P699

Its our second time here and it still not disappoint us. We celebrated our parents wedding anniversary here for dinner. I ordered creamy chicken steak, my sister and mom had a baby back ribs while my brother had the grilled pork belly. The servings was generous and the food taste great. 128076

A few months ago, I went to Anvaya Cove with some college friends and R. The place would have been extra nice if the weather cooperated. Nonetheless, it was a fun trip! And since we're already in Subic, I made sure that we stop by Xtremely Xpresso.

Hello, Xtremely Xpresso!

The place was packed when we arrived but we were lucky to get a table for six right away.

While the staff was clearing our table, we roamed around and the first thing we noticed was that there are different concepts in play. The main dining area of Xtremely Xpresso has an old American diner feel with its vintage light boxes.

The other dining area had an English tea salon feel.

Once our table was set up, we ordered Big Ben Xtreme (PHP729) for sharing. R and I also ordered Bacon Cheeseburger(PHP180), Meat Lasagna (PHP200), and Pumpkin Soup (PHP120). For drinks, we opted for Raspberry Avalanche (PHP100) and Caramel Daze (PHP100).

R's drink sure was berrylicious. It was really sweet! Mine had a nice hint of coffee with the sweet taste of caramel. R and I both liked the Caramel Daze more than the Raspberry Avalanche.

The pumpkin soup was creamy and had that sweet taste that I love. The crispy bacon bits added a nice contrast in flavor and texture.

Next served was our lasagna. It was cheesy and meaty! I loved it! It may not be sophisticated or the classy type of lasagna but this comfort dish is a winner! I packed the leftover lasagna for lunch the following day and it was still as good as when it was served at the restaurant.

I wasn't able to taste the sad looking burger but since R finished it without any complaint, I'm guessing that it's good too.

Now for the star of our meal... BIG BEN.

Described as the ultimate pizza "loaded with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and beef on garlic, onions, peppers, mushroom, black olive and two kinds of cheese," this 22" beauty sure fed us well.

It wasn't the best pizza I had but with its size and toppings, it was definitely worth the price.

Overall, we had a nice and filling lunch. However, service was extremely slow. We had to ask for water and extra utensils more than three times. I even had to go to the counter to get the utensils myself. (We were forgiving though as the place was filled with hungry diners.)

I'll definitely visit again!

#12Days

(Note: I had some leftover lasagna and ate it 2 days later and it still tasted awesome!!!)

Heard breakfast meals are awesome here but tried the pizzas for a bargain @ under Php1,000 for an 18" order. Coffee is comparable to Bag of Beans particularly on the mixed drinks.
