Early again for my flight and decided to have a light breakfast here. I was kinda hoping for the same food presentation as how I remember being served my Kaya toast in Singapore but it was not like that.

Kaya toast with butter + Kopi C and 2 soft boiled egg for P220. Quite expensive.

They have redeemed themselves. From a 3-star status, they are now at 5 stars (despite a wee cockroach crawling on the wall but bugs cannot be completely controlled at the airport as the food places are next to one another, resto doors are always open...! NAIA2 should make sure of fumegation...).

Why 5 stars?

1. Service was friendlier (nice cashier, smiling) and alert (not yapping about like my last visit);

2. They (staff) were ready to assist if you had questions;

3. The food came along with the drink and fast (within 8-10 minutes) despite the number of people who were at the place;

4. They went the extra mile for me and my son:
(a) provided the boiled egg for my 3-yr-old even if not on menu (registered just as extra egg to my order,

(b) brought bottled water to my table when I inquired if they had any and got my payment from me (I didn't need to stand up and leave my son and our things),

(c) allowed my son to play with the order # table marker (I don't know what it's called but it's what they give you after you order) as a 'car ramp' for my son's toys, and

(d) brought a cup of ice, upon request.

They made us comfortable where we sat for an hour waiting for our delayed flight. :)

Great improvement on the service personnel, service time and overall experience! Kudos!

PostScript: One of the posters made me laugh... A sketch of a Singaporean man holding up a sock with this copy: "Forget the French press! We have the sock!" LOL

I wanted to try their Soy Chicken Noodle but it wasn't available. The Sa Po Fan (marinated chicken) was okay.

Quick service.

The last time I went here was probably over a year ago. It looks the same, but, now, with some tattered seats. I got in for an early morning flight and found solace in their milk tea with toast that you could dip in poached egg. Yum.

The experience would have been wonderful but the staff were so noisy, yapping all about, it just disrupted my mood (and so early in the morning!). So instead of 4 stars, they only get 3. Also, they served my toast but forgot my milk tea... Had to ask for it to be served a few minutes after my toast was served (I patiently waited thinking the hot mug would follow soon... I was mistaken). So, maybe if the staff were trained to manage their noise level, ensure there is soothing music in the place (nice music should make for a comfortable time at this cafe), then maybe they can be better rated.

No wonder most everyone stayed at the outside tables! They packed those first instead of the inside armchairs and sofas because the staff were annoyingly loud. Oh, and it was a bit dark inside.

Simple pleasures, Ya Kun Kaya Kopi and Sugar Butter Toast! One of the things I look forward to when checking in for an early flight. This never fails to perk me up. 128516

I wasn't hungry enough to try their food but the menu looked so appetizing. I have a fascination for soft boiled egg, and their menu was loaded with it. Next time I fly I'll definitely try it. Does anyone know where else I can find this gem of a place?

Just got to try their Coffee O (which meant just black coffee) and I quite enjoyed it. Strong without being obnoxious. And I'm particular about my coffee, so this is a good thing.

Singaporeans stable breakfast. Every time I go to Singapore for a business trip I make sure I don't miss this food. Fortunately for us, this food chain is already here in the Philippine. Just had my one day turn around flight Manila-Cebu-Manila and this was my breakfast this morning. What I like most from this food chain compared to other establishment offering the same food is the perfectly toasted bread with special jam and butter. The rich black coffee with condensed milk coupled with soft boiled egg makes this food your perfect complete breakfast.

One of the reasons I look forward to taking PAL Domestic flights. Lightly crisp butter sugar toast and creamy soft boiled eggs. Darn things are laced with drugs. I get fidgety and anxious when i think about it on the way to the airport. I can quit smoking... but I cannot go to NAIA 2 and not have my ButterSugarDrug.

great food as per recommendation from my cousin and based on experience i had in singapore... BUT a Filipina server here is treating her coworkers insanely... i would not recommend this branch go to MOA or Rob Manila instead as i myself wont tolerate BULLY Management... i have my sources about whats happening on this branch and that person is affecting already other branches i have reported this already with the Ya Kun Kaya Singapore on their FB... Hopefully that BULLY Manager will get her own doze of medicine... Suspending servers by her own judgement(5 days due to Cellphone use during break time and giving 100 pesos fine to all subordinates when a Politician(Manny Villar) drops by and didnt order any)... name of the BULLY is "Luzviminda Doceo" and everyone knows her acts except the Owner...

Needed something to tide me over before the flight and to keep me awake so I could finish some work before boarding. The quick solution was strong coffee and what better answer than Ya Kun Kaya. Not exactly as good as Kopi Roti but certainly as "potent".
The coffee seemed so lonely by itself so I ordered toast to go with it. Truth is, I couldn't resist the smiling face of the friendly cashier when she up-sold me!

Nothing special with either the coffee or toast but it they certainly did their job of keeping me awake. So with renewed vigor, I am finishing this review and proceeding to work on my pending deliverables.

Can you guess what takes more priority? 128521128521128521

A NAIA 2 staple!! Must have their Milo toast, and/or Milo dinosaur. If you can take Milo on Milo.

I have not figured out just yet how to properly consume the soft-boiled eggs. I assume this would be better paired with their regular kaya toast, as a dip or spread or filling. I have yet to try, as I always order Milo toast on the rare occasions that I go here. 128539

Cheese kaya is also worth trying. Servings are a bit small, though.

If you're at NAIA T2 and flying domestic, eat at this place. I love their Kaya toast (obviously) combo. Perfect combination for an early morning flight.
