I love Yabu! it has been my favorite since I was in College. The katsu is super juicy and tender. I always get a refill of the rice and cabbage. The staff is super friendly too! They always ask me and they always give attention to every detail.

We ate here last Friday. We've eaten at Yabu countless times pero eto talaga yung pinakaokay yung service nila! Kudos to the crew especially to Flor, our server! Super attentive nilang lahat. Sometimes we didn't even need to ask, sila na yung lalapit to ask if we still want cabbage, soup, iced tea etc.

Always love going to Yabu. Food is always delicious.

Hello again fats... Kidding. 128517

Yabu was featuring their Kurobuta Hire Katsu with a whole separate menu, including some of their new items like the Katsu Burgers.

We all gave it a try. (Our wallets will cry after since the 120g cost P630...+SC.)

Well, the P630 did not go to waste because it was really good. The katsu was cooked well and it was still juicy and the crust is also crunchy still. Make sure you don't use their usual sauce when they give you those sesame seeds to grind when you get the Kurobuta because it comes with its own sauce. The special sauce is lighter and a bit sweet. It goes perfectly with the katsu because it's not strong enough to mask the taste of the Kurobuta.

Towards the end, I mixed a bit of the original sauce into mine and dipped the last piece of katsu I had and I understood why they needed a separate sauce. Their original sauce is too flavorful for such a tasty slab of pork already.

Left with a happy tummy. 128525128055

me and my friends decided to have our dinner here, last night. And I guess we've made a good decision.

We arrived around 8pm there and waited for few minutes. While waiting, I really like to commend their very good customer service. The kept us informed about how many minutes should we wait more or if the customer in our reserved table is about to leave. special mention to Ms. Apple there. 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼

Now while we're inside and enjoying our own sets, I must say everyone was so attentive. I can easily get what I need from them.

For the food: i love it!
I ordered Hire Katsu Curry, a bit smokey flavor, properly cooked carrot and potato, and tender meat. 128525
Another thing that I like about Yabu was they serve organic brown rice; at least I could eat rice even if I'm not at home. Too bad I wasn't able to enjoy their unli rice, soup and fruit. But i do took advantage of their unli cabbage drowned in Goma (my favorite every time that I'm at Yabu).
the price was very worth it for its quality of service and food.

will i go back again?!
ABSOLUTELY!
keep up the good work. 128522

Time to get your hands dirty with this Ebi Burger!!127844127828

Just for 495, it already comes with a side dish, your choice of homemade Japanese fries or chicken salad. The burger itself was really tasty, I think there are two pieces shrimp inside the burger, accompanied by some cabbage and their homemade sauce! I really recommend trying this burger out, it is a lot better than their rice toppings.128540

Had a catchup dinner with my doctor friend last week. We both had a long tiring day and we thought we deserved unlimited serving of miso soup and cabbage from Yabu, so we opted for this one.

My friend got his all-time favorite Hire while I decided to go for Chicken Katsu and gave it another chance. The first time I tried it - it was a little dry, and thank God, this time it's quite better. Really liked it, although I always thought that chicken was always made best for chicken karaage and not totally into Katsu. My friend and I had 3 refills of miso soup and cabbage. Haha. No judging please!!! 128514128514128514

The food has been great as always, but the service is lousy. Why? Well, we waited for about 20 minutes or more in the queue only to find out that our name wasn't called but my name (for reservation) on their queue list was already highlighted. Meaning, we should be seated inside but we're not!!! That's when I realized that those who queued after us were already seated and got their tables, while we, who came in first were still on the queue. Greaaatt!!! But then, they redeemed the lost star because they're able to attend to our requests and follow-ups while dining in. Not to mention their manager has mastered the art of peripheral vision! 100% attentive!!! 128517

Made from black tiger prawns they say. I say they got me hooked on this Ebi katsu burger, now on a limited stint in all Yabu stores. Juicy, crunchy and made more irresistible with the soft buttery brioche bun, spicy aioli sauce and shredded cabbage. A hefty serving of this comes with a hefty price too but who cares if it is so good and especially if it comes with a chicken salad that is a league of its own too. Too bad I missed the furikake fries, they ran out of this due to strong demand 128557128553.

Pros:
The server was very proactive with bringing water and explaining the sauces.
The kurobuta was not greasy.

Cons:
No one was manning the station outside the store - had to go inside and approach a server to ask for a table.
The servers were probably too tired to smile.
No one checking if cabbage or rice need refills.
The servings of rice were cold.
The salt container had stains of the pork sauce.
