My journey to review all restaurants in Podium ends with Yakimix. This buffet place features affordable grilling (yaki in Japanese) meats as its main come on. It’s always packed, expect lines once it hits 12nn and 6pm everyday.

I couldn’t help though and compare them to a newer player, Sambokojin. On a weekday lunch (non holiday), Yakimix is Php 525 net while Sambokojin goes a bit higher at Php 650 net. Which one does it better? The latter by a mile.

Yakimix range of choices failed me considerably. They have have a few sashimi choices, a poor Sukiyaki station, limited cooked entrees, sub-par dessert picks and few grilled meats. I found the chicken, pork and beef to have decent marination but had too much fatty portions.

Another let down is their sticky floors. I don’t get why it was like that especially before noon time. Imagine how it’s like at 2pm? I also did not like the airconditiong, it was warm where my friend and I sat.

It was nothing special. Although they had a wide variety of sushis and meat, they lack variety on other food items. The food didn't really taste that good. It was "so so". They didn't even have ramen. A Japanese buffet without ramen?! Nope! Also, some of their grills also have problems staying on. We had to change tables. I don't think I made the most of the money I spent on this. I'm not going back here soon but if they improve, I'm sure to try it again.

Celebrated my cousins bday here. She was happy enough but she only ate their nachos and desserts. I suggest for them to have kids foods to serve next time aound.

Maybe it's not my lucky day. Nothing wrapped in bacon while I see posts here with bacon. :(

Last time I ate at Yakimix was 5 years ago, and today I was reminded why I hate this place.

Salmon sashimi seemed really dry, it didn't reach my expectations (salmon should be milky). No beef to grill..

Worst dessert table. Leche flan is overcooked and coffee jelly is too thick, buko pandan tastes artificial.

Place was full when we went last night. I'm guessing because its a sunday, family day. So everyone's out.

Food was okay. Indulged in my usuals; Sushi, tempura, salmon and korean fooood!!! I think I had too much grilled bulgogi paired with kimchi and chapchae.

For dessert, I tried their coffee machine. The caramel macchiato was super good!!! And of course, chocolate and vanilla ice cream to sum up my meal 128523

Same selection as other branches but I think they have wider dessert selections. More quiet and serene than greenbelt branch.

I used to like Yakimix and have eaten here several times

A friend treated us here for his birthday. I was surprised and very disappointed. All cooked food are acceptable at best. Some even tasted really bad. This was te least that i ate on a buffet place.

The area also needs a good touch up - floors were quite sticky and it was just a mess

I hope yakimix ups their game

We were planning to have tempura so instead of a single order in a Japanese restaurant, we decided to eat in a buffet resto instead. In this way we will have unlimited tempura all night! What I like about this branch is that it's not too crowded so less competition for the shrimps! Bwahahaha

My favorite buffet place. Aside from mouthwatering sashimi , the last time i enjoyed grilling seafoods and beef. I suggest, for grilling you can ask a waiter to mix the sauce... They do it right. Also, i have some chopped garlics over the seafoods.. The best!!

Went here with my adventurous friends last week because we simply couldn't get over with the hangover after our Boracay trip for 5 days. We thought it's a nice way to continue our kulitans and bondings while grilling our food.

It's my first time to dine in here at this branch and thought it's a bit smaller than the one in Greenbelt; talkin' bout the food choices and space. Anyway, we're still satisfied with the food and had good times laughing at those funny moments in our recent trip.
