Ahhh how I missed this! I ordered 2pcs of Chicken Karaage and a stick of Cut Steak. Their chicken karaage was still the same - crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. I just noticed that Yakitori One’s rice bowls now had less sauce vs. the one I had in SM Aura. It’s a downside for people who like it but not for me. Their Cut Steak was also good but honestly, I prefer their chicken sticks more.

Taste is 5 stars but serving size is small. I ordered chicken thigh and rolled pork asparagus. Both were well prepared and flavorful. The sauce, though a bit sweet, definitely adds volume to this savory treat.

After a very filling dessert at Yo! Panda, I opted to have a light dinner just before leaving SM Megamall. I went to the Mega Food Hall and tried Yakitori One. Yakitori One serves a variety of barbequed dishes (mostly pork, chicken or beef). You can order ala carte or choose from their combo meals which js served with rice.

For a very affordable Php 110, I was able to buy 1 stick of Pork and Asparagus stick and 1 stick of Chicken Thigh bits. The ponzu sauce which was brushed on my food was very appetizing which would make you want to buy some more.

The sister was craving for Halal Guys. We usually share an order and the rice is always more than the meat so I went around the food hall and spotted Yakitori One.

I asked for their bestseller, The Chicken Thigh and couldn't resist an order of Bacon Wrapped Sausages. They must have used the same sauce since they tasted the same, slightly sweet and smoky. The sausages were a bit tough to chew. Both dishes were ok but not out of this world delicious.

After my not so pleasant encounter with the snotty cashier at Frankie's. I went straight to Yakitori One to buy some classy tusok-tusok.

I've always liked skewered food. Hence my affinity with this joint. I like the fact that they have a lot of choices for Yakitori lovers. Ordered some artery-clogging chicken skin, chicken with onion and leek and bacon wrapped quail eggs. It was his first time to try Y1, he seems satisfied with the skewered stuff, especially the bacon wrapped quail eggs.

We were happy diners after our yakitori feast.

Tried the Bacon Sausage Wrap & Chicken with Bell pepper @60 per stick... Too much BBQ sauce made it salty and it wasn't served hot.. Pretty steep price for such small servings, The chicken was so tiny I hardly tasted it 128514

Their yakitoris were good (chicken skin, beef bbq and chicken thigh fillet) but they were slow. Waited more than 20mins for our orders. Not good for office lunch breaks as you will be late.

This is so delicious! Even if the serving isn't that big, it is heavy. The rice is seasoned with this sauce and toppings. The beef is wrapped in asparagus. Great combo! Another one is the sausage wrapped in bacon. Super duper yummy! At 168 pesos, it's worth it.

There's certainly nothing "yaki" about this yakitori! 127842127842127842

I found my gaze fixed at the yakitori dipping thingamajig as the sticks slowly rotated and dipped one at a time. It could go on rotating forever and i still wouldn't mind! My favorite would have to be the cut steak because it was so cute and flavorful! I was, however, disappointed with the salmon as each piece seemed to pop and disappear after the first bite. 128531

Ordered sticks of Chicken Skin, Asparagus Pork Wrap, Sausage and Tofu. Everything tasted OK. Just that the BBQ sauce that was spread per stick tasted kind of too much.

Disappointed. I was excited pa naman and so looking forward to trying out their food. Ordered the set meal with chicken skin, chicken karaage, chicken thigh fillet (P198) and a side order of takoyaki (P88). Lahat ng food malamig, it was only the rice that was warm. I was there at 1130am, so I assumed their food would be newly cooked/prepared since the mall just opened. But since di mainit ung food, it made me think I was served food from last night pa #leftovers 128530128078 Saarehhhh not coming back 128122

Tried this during my first visit to the Mega Food Hall because I'd seen it before on Chuvaness' blog. I tried the chicken thigh and beef BBQ sticks -- both were delicious and had a lot of flavor. The serving size would probably be okay for most people, though it was a tad small for someone who likes more ulam like me. The flavored rice went with the sticks and there was a fair amount. However I don't really recommend the iced tea -- it was too watered down. Everything cost 250 pesos, which is a little more than I expected to pay for what I got. All in all, I enjoyed the food and I liked the concept, but first timers should be prepared to spend extra.

Ordered one of their combo meals which has the bacon covered asparagus and pork stick for P158 and additional P25 for iced tea. Was disappointed in their "yakitori" rice which was just plain rice with sweet sauce on top and some seaweed strips. Glad I got to try it. Maybe next time I won't order the meal and just go for specific sticks like their steak stock which was P70 each.
