Sarap pero Bitin lang yung rice for sharing.. Extra rice P30

P215 Beef and Tempura prawn JUMBO PLATE was good but no drinks included

Bloated after this meal!

Second choice lang ang Yoshinoya since sold out na yung new promo ng Tokyo Tokyo that night na Mr. Katsu Sumo Meal for P254 (ata) 4pcs prawn tempura, big chicken katsu, onion rings, unli rice, red iced tea and soup for 2! Ito sana yung mas sulit!

I don't think I can ever like the food here. I know it's your Japanese fast food but I think Tokyo Tokyo does a better job. Just look at the chicken teriyaki I got - it's the saddest looking teriyaki (and blandest) I've had. Ever.

I would have to say that the best and most affordable Gyudon I have ever had in my life is the one from Yoshinoya. The beef was very flavorful and I loved the taste of the onions that come with it. I also loved how succulent and thin the beef was. Aahhhh just thinking about it now is making me hungry. All of that just for P135, and that's okay na for me cause a little over sakto yung serving. And wow ah! Fast food talaga! Just as I handed my money to the cashier, my food came out of the kitchen! Oh yess! However, may catch.. But maybe I'm just speaking for myself because my stomach really went bad within an hour after dining here. 128553 still good Gyudon tho but meh it's never worth the stomach troubles..

The first I ever tried Yoshinoya was back in 1993. Yes, they had a branch here in Galleria but I guess the Filipino palette wasn't yet ready for this kind of food.

The food was good then as it is now. Clean place, fast servers.

Yoshinoya had been around from quite some time now, I remember this was a choice place to eat when we (barkada) got tired of the usual burger and fries or pizza back in high school. So fast track to today, while waiting for our printer to be serviced, We decided to revisit Yoshinoya, I ordered the their main special the gyudon and for the wife, beef ramen.
I must say it wasn't as good as before, OR my taste buds matured and appreciates good food now than before.
The gyudon lacked flavor, rice and beef ratio was good, the meal was hot, and that's about it.
The beef ramen was sweet, there wasn't body to be felt when you taste the broth. Noodles weren't good and the corn was just overpowering the bowl.
Can't give it 3 stars because I didn't liked what we ordered but giving it 2 starts would be harsh as there are other choices on the menu that may be good.
So for now it'll be 2 stars, but willing to try it again, not soon though.

Cheers!

Seriously, this is just a first time trying out this place. I didn't know it's like Tokyo Tokyo 128517

We ordered their Jumbo Plates. It has Beef, Yakiniku and Bean Sprouts. It was good. The beef was tasty and waaaay tender than Tokyo Tokyo. (Since often times, I usually experience that the beef misono will be a bubble gum in my mouth.) But I didnt experience it here. 128513

The serving size was generous as well. It's not a blow me away factor food, but considering the price and service, i'll give it a 4..128522

While their beef bowl isn't as flavorful as it was before, it's still not that bad, and it's still way better than Tokyo Tokyo.

Even a 9PM visit to the shop, which is already near closing, is a pleasant one, with my order out in a minute, the miso soup not reheated, and the beef bowl freshly assembled.
